"Hey guys, you want to make 1 billion or 2 billions?"
There is no such thing. If Blizzard can make more money and at the same time avoid the possibility of getting burned in media for too much violence, then they will. And that is the T rating.
Am I the only one on this board who doesn't think excessive blood is good? -
Oct 29, 2006PhrozenDragon posted a message on d3 on the way?I agree with Cyks. Plus, if they continuously announced everything, and then changed their minds, fans would be really upset. And that is something they don't want.Posted in: News

M = Means less little kids.
T = Too many little kids
That's also true. No matter the rating, there's no stopping them. And I don't really have a problem with it, so long as they refrain from acting immaturely. Which is perhaps too much to ask from most of them. -
Oct 28, 2006PhrozenDragon posted a message on Biggest Diablo 3 Information Yet!Yes, those ratings are often too high. I mean, what preents a 12 year old from watching a graphic movie at home? Nothing, except for the parents good sense, which seems to be awfully shortcoming these days.Posted in: News
T for Badlur's Gate? Alchohol, yeah right. You press a button and your character gets some negative effects. How inapropriate.
I also agree with the age. Not all kids are like that, but far too many, and they often lack common sense, courtesy, intelligence and general social skills, and for some reason have the idea that if you don't swear and attack all other players in every sentence, there is no point to playing. -
Oct 22, 2006PhrozenDragon posted a message on "Official" Diablo 3 PetitionWell, I can think of a couple of things, though I don't know if it will be appreciated by Blizzard.Posted in: News
One is to run in on Battle.net and post on those forums
Second is to run in on WoW forums
Chances are I think though that they will get locked by Blizzard.
Or any other Diablo fansite in general. -
Oct 22, 2006PhrozenDragon posted a message on Diablo 3 Fake TrailersYep, that was pretty crappy. First is just WoW, second is really just a bunch of text, and the third, well, I don't really know what the third is, but it's not good.Posted in: News

I would like to keep the Fallen. Just running our like fresh adventurer and see all of them fall dead by one blow feels fantastic.
The monster I would remove would be the Leapers from Act 2. They just jump around and refuse to die.
Feel free to include monsters from D1 that you think should make a reappearance.

Well, I wouldn't say that the monsters appear to block only the player, but rather everyone. Otherwise that seems like a good descritpion of events.

I also strongly oppose the idea of Tyrael being corrupt. If such a thing would happen, I would throw myself at the first mod of D3 that made him good again, and closed B.net be damned.

So when you arrive to the rogue encampment, he has already been moving for weeks. And I doubt it really would have taken a new would-be adventurer to clear out Act 1 in a few hours. A few weeks seems more reasonable. So yeah, I guess he had some time to cahse after Marius, enough that the players would be unable to catch up.

But they won't bring them back. It like all the Disney movies you remember. Back then, they were well made and had a great plot. Nowadays it looks like a 6 year old drew the cartoons with his left foot. But they still sell, and the new kids watch them, so what are you gonna do?

I would interpret what Cain said as the demons are blocking the path, and only by killing Andariel can the demons also be removed completely. SO in a way, as long as she lived, the pass was blocked. Even if the adventurer could have fough his/her way through the pass, no one else would have, and the rogue camp would have been doomed.
But still. A desert, and then suddenly snow. You would have to travel very far, or very high for that to be possible. And at the end of the first cinematic, we see trees. Trees disappear from mountains at an altitude of (I'm not sure, it may be lower, but I doubt it is higher) 2.000 meters, or 6.000 feet. Not to mention the ground was flat. And that low altitude next to a desert would not have snow I think.

The biggest problem I think is people only downloading the game. If everyone who had downloaded Diablo had bought it instead, I think those numbers would have increasd substantially. But then again so would WC3.

other than that, I don't really know what to say that hasn't already been said. But an important part of WoW is the social part. The game becomes so much more fun if you can find yourself a decent guild. And that is what keeps many people playing. My friend stopped leveling for about two months at level 43 or something. Yet every day he was logged in and just talked to people or messed around, and occasionally he did some PvP. Then he just decided to start again, and now he's happily raiding BWL.
Everybody can't like every game, but it feels like WoW has become some sort of evil entity that must be hated. I can see why people see it as repetetive, and in some cases it is true, but I can also see why Diablo is repetitive, and much more so. Yet what is the problem? So long as people play it, it is obviously good.

After that my Diablo career has gone up and down, but I generally stopped playing vanilla LoD and switched to using Mods, many of whom i found here:

I am desperately looking forward to D3 and the sequel to one of the best games ever.
