Biggest Diablo 3 Information Yet!
Today our partner site(www.wcradio.com) and a few others(www.blizzplanet.com, www.wowirc.com) hosted a Q&A with Richard A. Knaak, writer of the new book that takes place in the Diablo Universe, Diablo: The Sin War, Book One: Birthright. There are a couple questions relating to Diablo 3 and I think you will be very happy to hear the answers.
"The Sin War trilogy, written by New York Times bestselling author Richard A. Knaak, lays out the basic foundation for the lore of the Diablo universe."
Here are some questions from the interview.
Q - Rathi: Any ifnormation on Diablo3? Have you been asked to write a further story?
A - Knaak: What happens in the Sin War is significant, as I mentioned, toward the future. I know that Blizzard is very eager to make Diablo fans happy.
Q - Medievaldragon: Hope I am not spoiling much at this point, however I really have to ask. Blizzard introduced a new Pandemonium Event monster named Lilith (Act V) in Diablo II Patch 1.11. You can read about her at: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/monsters/act5-lilith.shtml
A - Knaak: Answer for Medievaldragon: She is, I believe, although she will look a little different by the game's point. Her part in the trilogy is major.
Q - Medievaldragon: How much of the book is creation of yours, and how involved is Chris Metzen behind the canon storyline of Diablo: The Sin War Trilogy? Do you think the ramifications of this book impact in the storyline of Diablo 3 the game?
A - Knaak: This is a pure collaboration between myself and Chris/Blizzard. All that is written is passed by him and the others there. This will be canon and has adjusted earlier info. The ramifications here will be used for any future project...and I ain't writing for a dead game.
Q - Deathshade|EU: So... Diablo 3?
A - Knaak: I am not writing for a dead world...but a world with dead. nuff said

1. I am japanese, not a nazi
2. I am a boss at my work. I am also bossy because i have two kids and some people in here act like my kids.
T
contains animated
blood and gore
Alcohol
that is what BG2 has and it has bad guys getting critically hit into big chunks of flesh, it did reasonable well for a game it seems only nerds and a few other people play.
it also says ages 13 & up on the side of the box. may seem a little of putting, actually showing an age restriction, but i dont like little kids 10 - 12 yr olds mass spamming my in my games with their messed up little kid speak.
Diablo needs a T rating, M will make it sound worse that it is, who has gone to a/watched a movie just becasue you heard it was M 15+ or R16/18 and later found out it wasnt really all that bad?
Face Off thats what R16, a bit of bad language, some shooting, (sounds like 24 to me) and not even that graphical surgery scenes, medical dramas have worse surgery scenes. and the one scene with Nick Cage with his face off, his face isnt even in camera that much.
hmm i seem to be rambling again, amazing how often i will do that
T for Badlur's Gate? Alchohol, yeah right. You press a button and your character gets some negative effects. How inapropriate.
I also agree with the age. Not all kids are like that, but far too many, and they often lack common sense, courtesy, intelligence and general social skills, and for some reason have the idea that if you don't swear and attack all other players in every sentence, there is no point to playing.
M = Means less little kids.
T = Too many little kids
lol
no matter the rating, where ever there is injustice, demonic oppressors, demonic hordes invading and weak that need defending, i shall be there.
True dat home slice
That's also true. No matter the rating, there's no stopping them. And I don't really have a problem with it, so long as they refrain from acting immaturely. Which is perhaps too much to ask from most of them.
WoW makes TONS of money, and they can afford making it Mature. Plus, they'll just keep more young kids playing WoW.
This is/was enough evidence for me
this is plenty enough evidence for me...
"Hey guys, you want to make 1 billion or 2 billions?"
There is no such thing. If Blizzard can make more money and at the same time avoid the possibility of getting burned in media for too much violence, then they will. And that is the T rating.
Am I the only one on this board who doesn't think excessive blood is good?
