Amazing intro, amazing style and amazing music. The handdrawn stye really worked.
The only thing I felt was lacking was a finishing punch, similar to the part in D2 where the music rises and Marius says:
"Why did I follow him? I don't know. Why do things happen as they do in dreams? All I know is that, when he beckoned, I had to follow him. From that moment, we traveled together east. Always, into the east."
And then the logo flies in. It doesn't end in immediate crisis like the D3 one, but it doesn't have to. It still conveys the story so well.

It takes a while to do one book. I think I got down to around 20-25 minutes per chapter for The Veiled Prophet, but that's still just under 10 hours. Given that the lore provided in them is of much less importance, I opted not to do it. But if I find myself dreadfully bored one of these days then perhapsQuote from Thunderclaww
The reference post is awesome. Any chance you can do these type of posts for the rest of the Diablo books, after the Sin War Trilogy? I'm a bit hazy on those.

By inference it's a reasonable conclusion. The idea that the skeletons are Lesser Evils makes no sense whatsoever though. There are not seven or six lesser evils to sit on those thrones, and the lesser evils we do know of do not look like that and have no reason to look like that. Everything indicates that Leonard (I think it was him?) misspoke during the panel.Quote from Calavera666
They've never said such a thing.
In fact, they say that those are the Lesser Evils, sitting up their thrones.

It comes from the panel. From the mouthes of Blizzard themselves. Meanwhile, the death refenrence has been made up by fans because it seems to fit the very passage you mention in the Sin War. That does not make it correct however when confronted with with conflicting canonical information.Quote from maela
Where is the info coming from that he is the angel of wisdom? The sin war trilogy doesn't describe him but rather mentions that...
Does this mean that all is well? Probably not, Malthael does seem very weird for being an angel of wisdom. And as you can also see in Scyber's post, this is acknowledged. -

He is the angel of Wisdom. All sources that mention him a the Archangel of Death are both outdated and based on speculation to begin. The wiki shall be updated.Quote from maela
In some places he is described as the angel of wisdom, in others the angel of death.
Which is it? Even the wiki seems to alternate between the two.

You can still categorize images without creating their category page and it will work. So you can add pages to [[Category:Diablo III Amulet Images]] just fine.Quote from Sinate
EDIT: Can someone under the Jewelry image subsection, create 2 new image subsections for me please, Amulet and the other Ring. Also an image subsection for Demon Hunter Cloaks under Armor would be great too

Oct 10, 2011PhrozenDragon posted a message on Fresh Blood for the WikiOh right... there's a four day delay before pages can be created on a new account. It's there to stop bot-spamming and it really has helped, but perhaps it could be shortened.Posted in: News
I went ahead and simplycreated the crossbow page so it can be edited for now, but other stuff that can be done is to add categories to uncategorized pages and images.
Another thing is to place all images inCategory:Diablo III Images in their appropriate sub-categories. For instance, Dread Shield.png should be moved from "Category:Diablo III Images" to "Category:Diablo III Shield Images". The latter category doesn't yet exist, but using the structure in
Category:Diablo II Images should give anyone a good idea of what it should eventually look like.

If you want to do some copy&pasting, I'd suggest doing some item pages. For instance, copyQuote from enkeria
im about to move, and thus have some time over when Im looking for job.
Copy/phase, sure! Head me to right direction, Ill start this week!
Bow List to
Crossbow List and replace all the bow text and named with crossbow text and names. Similarly, copy
Template:Bows and place it at
Template:Crossbows, once again replacing all data. You can get the names easily from battle.net.
You may want to take a look at the bottom of the Gems page, which is where categories always appear in wikis using the Mediawiki softwareQuote from CherubDown
For example, we have aGems supersection but we also have a
Category:Diablo_III_Gems.
Absolutely. There still a lot to do and plenty of opportunity for anyone who wants to contribute, whehter it's in a big way or just a small edit here and there.Quote from CherubDown
The wiki should be designed such that users can find whatever is most meaningful to them in the fastest way possible, and the only way to do that is step forward and help out! It's a daunting task, but it's also very rewarding when you complete a big ol' section.

Wirt's mother was actually named Canace, and Despina doesn't say she's Wirt's mother. She only calls Wirt "sweet Wirt they all love."
Right, that is obviously a mistake.Quote from Jaelzadeon
I was looking at that just now and wondering why the title says "XXXIV" (34).p.s:In roman numbers, 29 is written XXIX I think
That's a very good point. I'll see if we can get this changed.Quote from swooshxx
You think the Cast fixes this? You hid the fact that this was speculation **behind a spoiler alert**. So assuming someone doesn't want to have spoilers...follow me here:
- You post a definitive statement as the unavoidable TITLE in a NEWS post.
- You hide the explanation that it is only speculation behind a spoiler tag in a video.

Oct 8, 2011PhrozenDragon posted a message on DiabloCast: Episode XXIXPosted in: News
Well that's not why I opposed it. It's not a spoiler, it's speculation, and I opposed it because I'm not sure it would give the correct picture of the content of the cast. Though I couldn't come with anything better at the time.Quote from swooshxx
You were the correct one PhrozenDragon, it was distasteful and immature for Sixen (or whoever) to post a spoiler into the TITLE of a NEWS article. Even if it is speculation, I can not think of a reputable site that would do something this retarded.
There were some spoilers in there though that probably do tell what will happen in parts of the game, but those weren't in the title. -

I fought long and hard, and although it was a bloody battle I eventually lost out in what title to pick.Quote from OmniNom
Is no one else curious about the title? D:
You are right however, the title is a reference to the popular lore theory that Leah will somehow be possessed by Diablo. We talk about it during the cast. -

I would recommend anyone planning on entering the contest to keep this in mind. Like Scyber said in the opening post, we want something that "screams both Diablo III and DiabloFans"Quote from Periculum
I wouldn't change it. In my opinion, the Lord of Terror is still recognizable in the Logo and more importantly, it has become a well known trademark by now, which many, many people will actually recognize and connect with the name DiabloFans.com. I guess, that's just my humble opinion though. So if you change it (which u apparently plan to do), please make sure to choose a new one, that has similarities to the old Logo.
We can't even make ourselves that -
Aug 26, 2011PhrozenDragon posted a message on New Diablo 3 Community Site OnlineSo you think of the monk as a go-go dancer eh?Posted in: News
In all seriousness though, don't you think that analogy is a little faulty? Particularly since the monk is actually supposed to be cool, which horns would actually enhance, while a go-go dancer isn't? That's not the way I use the word cool anyway.
I also want to clarify that a hedgehog armor with thousands of horns covering the entire monk would be awesome. Especially if the horns were on fire. And black. Black flames would be awesome. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I can't recall whether a Hammerdin is gear dependent or not, but beating Hell in SP is hard since you will basically only get shit gear. I'd recommend either going with a dual-spec sorceress (cold/fire or cold/lightning) or a summoning necromancer. Those classes require the least gear and can take Hell with with basically only their skills. It will still be tough though.

It should be possible to do, but to combine the data of both the target item and the recipe page would require a new template.
Also note that the Recipe pages you are talking about are actually data pages that have ended up in the wrong namespace. Eventually we'll move them, but for now they work as they are.
So what would have to be done is create a list template for this, possibly modify one of the current ones instead. That's actually it, that should be ebough in order to create lists similar to what appear on item lists such as

Some people have custom titles, like staff members and people who've won contests.
Zakarumite, Zealot, Fathful etc. are old titles that were used in aprevious version of the board. For some reason that we do not know, people still get these titles sometimes instead of Diablo Fan.

That being said they'll end up against the Bulls in the quarters anyway if they do make it, and there's no way they'll get past Chicago.

If you want to change the drop to drop more items, read this: http://phrozenkeep.hugelaser.com/index.php?ind=reviews&op=entry_view&iden=417
The files necessary can be found [url=http://www.diablofans.com/topic/20502-all-diablo-ii-txt-files/]. Put those files in data/global/excel which you place in your D2 folder (so it will probably look like Program Files (x86)/Diablo II/data/global/excel).
Then add -direct -txt to the Target line of your D2 shortcut in order for the game to read your modified files rather than it's own MPQs.

You could say that already happened last year when LeBron had a great season as well (just not ending that well). If he doesn't get it this year again, with the numbers he's currently posting... it would be unreal.

No but Karybdus was supposedly loosely based on the D2 necro according to Knaak in an interview we did with him some years ago here on Dfans.

Eastern Conference: Miami and Bulls, I can't see any other two teams really beating these two in a best of seven in the east. Maimi will win again this year, so long as the Big Three remain uninjured.
Western Conference: The The Thunder are definitely one, but I could see either Spurs, Lakers or Clippers (yeah I know they can't meet right now, but if the standings change...) facing them. I don't keep up as well with the Western Conference
Regardless though I expect Miami to win. LeBron is going to get the MVP this year based on his incredible season. Finals MVP I expect to be awarded to him as well, though that will depend more on how those games play out.
