I got tired of not knowing how big of damage boost I was going to get from items on the AH, so I threw together a spreadsheet. It is accurate down to two decimal places for my character. Editing is locked, so you will need to download it to input your stats. Appologies if there are already spreadsheets floating around. I was unable to locate one.
There may be things I have overlooked and it could certainly be made more functional by some of the spreadsheet wizards, so feel free to improve and rehost.
To people who's damage values are slightly off: First I would double check that you don't have any typos. If that is not the cause, it may be an issue of relying on rounded numbers as the inputs. For instance, the attacks per second listed on your weapon may not be the exact value (especially if you have an attack speed moddifier on the weapon). A more sophisticated spreadsheet could address this, but the current one is likely accurate enough to allow you to make most gearing decisions.
To the people having trouble downloading the document: I believe you need to be in spreadsheet mode to download it. Currently, google appears to be forcing you to view it in "simple list" mode due to the high amount of traffic. I do not know how to resolve this issue, other than for people to try during non-peak hours. Sorry :(. If people would be so kind as to navigate away fromt the online document after downloading, that would be helpfull.
EDIT: I have uploaded multiple coppies of the spreadsheet now. If you cannot download the spreadsheet because you are being forced to view it in "simple mode", try one of these coppies:
I aint trusting that. If someone tests it and it's actually real and not some sneaky virus. Let me know. However, I vote DO NOT TOUCH.
If you don't have enough security set up to click a link, then you probably shouldnt be on the internet. I agree though, docs.google... is pretty suspicious.
sounds interesting but i'd like to make sure its legit before i click <.<
It's a google document, as indicated by the docs.google link. Google scans it for viruses before it is uploaded, and again before each user downloads it. I would post a link to this information, but I'm not sure you would be able to click it before making sure it was legit.
hmm i filled out everything correctly and it said my dps was 41271.33 when in game it shows 41333.40

A small discrepancy like this looks like rounding error. Does your weapon have an attack speed modifier on it? The spreadsheet needs to be modified to calculate the actual attacks per second on the weapon instead of relying on the rounded number that you see on the weapon. In any case, it's close enough to allow you to make a gearing decision.

All you idiots who don't trust a docs.google link need to get up in life. If you aren't using Google spreadsheets to schedule events, or do public excel work, you're doing something wrong in life.
Had a spreadsheet like this for a bit now. I haven noticed +damage% on weapons can cause small errors in the same way attack speed was earlier. Damage, as a result, can be off, I assume by up to 1.5, though I have so far only seen +.25 to -.75.
I am presently working on a *much* more advanced version and will try to post it within the next few days, though it uses functions that I do not *believe* are available on googledocs.
If anyone has any suggestions on host sites I can use, or ways to go about it, please let me know.

Thank you for the great spreadsheet DrZey.
Sad kids that can't trust a GOOGLE link are sad.
'Cause I'm the type of nerd that will bust your jaw.

"Viewing in simple list mode due to high traffic to this document"
File was virus free, no macros in it and value was almost accurate.
