They removed Critical Mass for a reason. The problem right now isn't perma CC, is the fact that perma CC is mandatory to play the game because in GR you get one shotted by anything. Are players really having fun by stun locking and ignore monsters abilities? Well, right now i think yes, because it's that or getting one shotted; but of course the QQ bandwagoner read only the title or select the line they want like: remove perma cc, and BAM! We got ourselves some good days of constant whining. The fact that's been confirmed once again that damage scaling will be looked into is irrelevant.

This is exactly the problem. Regardless the "toughest" you get in higher GF, you get 1 shot by anything. The worst offender is the unavoidable damage.
They need to hire real gamer or copy from others to make some real changes to improve the game.
For example: We should able to upgrade our item by combining 2 of the same items to make it more powerful. For example, we combine 2 furnace to give a 1% (5% or 10%, etc) over all increase. Or giving us an option to improve whatever stat we choose.

The core of the problem is all the D3 team can do is push higher and higher number. The design is flawed.
Next batch, they will probably dig up some skill no one use and then create a few item that add X% to it and make all previous sets/items useless.

Just got nerfed to 100%. Now it is complete useless. At 1300% increase still cannot compete with set + F/C.
Hellthooth for example is: 900% * 2.25 = 2025% increase damage.

Obviously, the damage will be add to the base damage and not a multiplier. At least that's how it make sense to me anyway.
But knowing the D3 dev team, anything is possible.

Let's just use Zombie Bears Helltooth with F/C for example: 10 (900%) X 2.25 = 22.5 x 520% (ZB) = 11700%
Nightmare with 13 ancient pieces: 520% + (13 * 800%) = 10920%

D3 game design is flaw. It is base on DPS. So all bet are off unless you have a high DPS weapon. That's why every new patch/season, you get higher and higher multipliers. This is why you have all these cookie cutters build. The weapon and set determine the skills.
For example: Helltooths limit you with acid rain if you have the staff and ZB if you have the spear.
Old sets are useless because their multipliers are not high enough.

If group play, then keep the IAS.
if solo, you want want to consider life per fury spend.

Why is botting bother you? It is not like there is a competition. In order to get to the top of the leader board, you basically need a lot of luck. Good maps and then good boss.
Blizzard also need a way to reuse the extra legendary. The extra IK weapon should be able to salvage and use that material to upgrade the IK weapon or whatever. Like 1% of damage. Or other stats.

Not exactly the same. Pet is broken in higher GR. It die so fast, that it is useless. Maybe pet is fixed in PTR.

IK still cannot compete with WW. Don't forget that WW get 40% damage reduction. WW can also keep WOTB up with zodiac. Not to mention about the speed and it's ability to skip tough packs.
