There is no need to bring torment 7-8...15, they should just make torment 2-6 much harder. Because now torment 2-5 becomes easy instantly after you get several set pieces and an ancient weapon (and you can get those in several hours of play time).
the reason its so easy is because the Grifts are the "end game" and difficulties that are above t6. suggestion i can make is move onto grifts because they will not make it harder. look what they did when it released. nerfed because everyone QQ too hard. now its too easy haha.
Torment 6 is way to easy. Would love if Blizz would make higher torments.
A lot of my casual friends would disagree with you. But a new torment that has monsters with more health or making more damage is not the good way to make the game more interesting. You can easily do GR for that matter. Instead of that you could make, let's say, a new kind of difficulty level but with challenge instead. Like monster with new abilities like what they're trying to do in the PTR.

The season is underway. Don't know if I'll make it through.
Thats quite pointless, this cycle will repeat. people complain difficulty is too hard. buff weapons and now its too easy. Grifts are end game. T6 too easy? the gear up for Grift 35+ because that where youll receive the best xp and shards.
You want a higher T setting, might as well ask blizzard to remove ancient items. If you havent realized ancients have destroyed the current life of the game. How so? its trivializes the game. Why do you think T6 feels like T1?

T6 has always been easy. I'd say it's the power creep of 6 piece sets.
I personally would be in favor of additional difficulties above t6, Sometimes I don't want to do grfits, whether it be normal rifts or bounties or heck even playing through the campaign, the ability to take advantage of the power creep introduced by ancient gear, set gear prevalence and of course legendary gems means that I can do all those non-grift activities at closer to optimal difficulty. Now for the question of how 100% mechanics would be handled is pretty simple. Bounty bag has for example a 100% chance to drop one legendary as well as a 20% chance to drop a second on t7 for example, and this chance for a second increases as the t-level increases. This same idea applies to all 100% mechanics.
It's a valid point, when is enough, t8? t10? t1000!? (ok t-1000 would likely terminate us all) hard to tell but I still would like the bar raised some.
When the next expansion gets announced (If it gets announced), I'm sure something will happen with the difficulties, wither they get bumbed or expanded on is beyond me, but something will happen.
i dont agree with you because Torment 6 is fine as it is. If you are one of the few guys that got ancient sets and great weapons of the bat well good for you go challenge urself in greater rifts and leave the others who are not so lucky to farm items and get ready for those greater rifts.
I think that there will be always one moment when u will get gear to outgear the highest torment even if they add a 7 or an 8, but as i think they are doing some kind of challenge rift which denies somethings like no pets.
I think there's no harm in adding a few torment difficulties above T6. They just need to make sure that the bonuses you get from raising he difficulty will be minimal so it would really just be for people who are looking for extra challenge and that small bonus to xp / mf.
I agree that T6 is too easy once you are high plvl and geared out, but you can always go for GR's for harder content. I know that it's not the same and that's why people complain, but imagine if they keep the current increment (when looking at t1-6) and just add 7-10, the value of magic find and experience bonus will be so damn high. If they want to add more Torment, i think it's inevitable for them to nerf the lower torments and that would make some people rage...
Personally, i would like to see T7-10 just because 1-10 is a round number. Then they can re-balance T1-6 in accordance with the new scaling.
Bring in an all-new difficulty, let's say "Insanity".
- It is way harder than Torment 6 (comparable to ~GR35) and every single area in the game has not only it's usual mobs but also randomly other mobs (comparable to A5 Nightmare+Hell like in Diablo2).
- Champions/Elites have a fifth random-affix which is Insanity-Only, alongside with the four other usual random affixes. The insanity-only affixes tend to be even more dangerous by bringing in stuff like restistance to specific elements (needs to be tested ofc).
- The loot is ofc more rewarding and many stuff like Keywarden drops etc are guaranteed. Maybe a bigger chance for Ancient Legendaries.
- Instead of pushing mobs to a higher limit, all player characters experience some minor restrictions. Like reduced restistances or reduced damage done (something in an area of 5-10%)
- Ofc all greater rifts starting at GR35 obtain the same rules as Insanity difficulty.
- A new gem tier. Recipe is only obtainable in Insanity.
- Maybe no usual Rifting in Insanity and no Bounties. Instead there will be "epic quests", comparable to bounties but with more tasks to fulfill. At the end of each "epic quest" is an endboss with bloodshards, random caches and stuff.
- Some other neat stuff to provide somewhat of an endgame. If many players have successfully farmed Insanity there could possibly be "Insanity II" or whatever
Why would anyone be against this? Sure you CAN do Grifts, but why can't you have both? A regular farming level that challenges you but doesn't require a lot of time investment to get trial keys is a detriment to no one.

Where does it end? In a year you'd say bring T9-10. If you want infinite difficulty that's what GRs are for.

THEY HATE US, CUZ THEY AIN'T US

I see what you did there.
Edit: Wtf, it didn't quote...
One word: No.
Thats three words if you look again "One word:No" = 3words
If you wanted one word your reply would be "No"

You obviously don;t understand the sentence construction.

Harder levels without a timer pushing you forward.
The ability to actually play as a team, pull, kite, etc instead of forced to zerg.
How would that ever be desirable?

What? Me worry?
I think they need to bring back Inferno from Vanilla and cap us at 12,000 dps and make it so level 57-63 gear drops at the highest difficulty.
Grifts as an option in place of higher torment levels would be fine except that to run Grifts you must
A: first run a T6 rift anyways to get a trial key
B: do a trial which on top of being mind numbing can also be difficult to land on exactly the level you want when you are sandbagging.
I would have no problem with Grifts being the alternative to T7+ if it weren't for the additional steps required to open them.
