DirectX is needed.
You will likely get a message on trying to install the game saying DirectX11/12 is needed to beable to install this game.
So in that regards, I believe Windows 7 will not work.

Did you try pressing the chat gem 50 times?
The lobby seems like it is currently not working properly.

Like many of you, I have been extremely looking forward to being about to visit the burning hells once more! Normally I would make a post with excitement, but this post is more of a warning!
I was eagerly awaiting my change to get into the action..
For those venturing in for the first time in a long while, or even just for the first time ever! Beware, currently the Beta is having some serious Optimization issues and is causing GPU's to over heat if you have a weak cooling system, this is causing a whole mess of errors while playing the game, but hey, that's what betas are for!
Just please though, if you know you do not have a very strong system, I know you want to play, but please wait for them to fix the optimization, otherwise you might find yourselves waiting a little bit longer than intended.

There are many aspects of D3 that I did enjoy, one of the reasons I still play today when a new season launches.
The reason I enjoy D1 is the suspense, while you are going down the cathedral, you have no idea what to expect, the game is super dark with just a torch lighting a few tiles in front of you, was it hard? not necessarily, but as I stated above, when you open that door and the butcher yells "FRESH MEAT!" it is an "Oh f*ck" moment, that is what I'm looking for.
To be honest, D1,2, and 3 are actually very similar structure wise, Enter a dungeon, go down a few levels, fight a boss in a special room, move on.
Their main differences was pretty narrow (graphics not included), D1 was straight down the cathedral, with a few bosses a long the way, D2 was a very open game, but the bosses were always in the same spot, D3 was the most linear with everything being shortened to 2-3 levels, and way more flashy.
Each game had their own charm, but what I personally didn't like about D3 was the story, game play was fine, For a few examples, they turned everyones favorite character into a human, they killed off Deckard Cain in an attempt for a new generation to take his place, just to turn around and turn her into Diablo two acts later against her will and with no redemption, they brought back some bosses as 'flavor' bosses for nostalgia and not for story purposes, they completely rewrote the lore for the butcher to try to explain why he is a fightable boss again (there are hundreds of them now).
D4 seems to be going back to the source material which is a nice change, I am a little worried however, they said it wasn't going to be as flashy as D3, and then the the quarterly updates started about a year later with some very flashy looking skills, which once again doesn't bother me, just has me worried they are going against what they already told us...hopefully the story is good.

The diablo franchise as a whole revolved around the idea of manipulation, the prime evils were never seemed like they were after power, but rather just doing evil things in order to spread hell through out sanctuary, which is why they were always so hard to find, an actually perfect example of this was Belial of all demons, he hid in the shadows and corrupted from within turning the citizens on each other, he used his position to completely control the country while looking innocent and helpful.
It is what Diablo did with King Leoric and what Mephesto did with the Zakarum priests.
Ba'al manipulated Darius into believing what Tyrael did was wrong and to free him, and then later impersonating Tyrael and manipulating Darius into telling him about the world stone.
They all spread their influence, their battle was not with Heaven or the angels, their battle was with all of Sanctuary, the Angels on the other hand, there battle was to stop the demons at all cost, which is why they intervene.
I feel like the Diablo franchise really needs to get back to this premise, no more flashy villains who act like bosses, I wanna open a door and hear FRESH MEAT, and say "Oh f*ck!"

We actually have very little knowledge on how old Kormac actually is, just that he was a farmer before becoming a Templar.
But I re-did the Kormac quests, and found out, he actually DOES end his story in D3, so I'm back to Inquisitor full time
Apr 10, 2021Posted in: Diablo IV: Return to Darkness
As much as I am rooting for Inquisitor, I have a strong feeling that it will be a Templar, They already added Paladin, they added Crusader, and now that we know the Church is involved somehow, and the introduction of the Templars in D3, and the fact that the D3 Templar has some much unfinished business within his shady ass order (The Church?), there is a very strong chance that Kormac will be the Templar that we play.
But I am still rooting for Inquisitor...Give me those holy exorcisms!

"Any players looking to level quickly and get the best start to Season 26 should browse the selection of starter guides from various content creators below! It should be noted that Soul Shards can be dropped for characters who are not yet level 70, and getting one while leveling has the potential to greatly increase leveling speeds."
Wasn't Soul Shards a Season 25 thing? Are they in Season 26 also?
The wrong video was linked, it was corrected

Honestly, This year is one of those years that seems like it just might be worth the ticket.
Potentially we will get D4, OW2, New Wow Expansion, Diablo: Immortal, new hearthstone expansion most likely, and who knows what else.

I was just thinking that this is another hint/proof that diablo 4 is going to be revealed soon. Whether it be before or at Blizzcon 2019, it seems inevitable now.
Obviously Magicfind has inside information that we do not, and it seems like a smart investment on their behalf if the reveal of D4 is coming soon.
Not to mention Blizzard really needs to save face after all this mobile s*** stinking up the air after Blizzcon 2018.
I am not a fan of Mobile games, but I will admit, if anyone could potentially do it right, its Blizzard, it is Neteasy that has me worried.
Either way we all know it will be a huge success, and it WILL have a place on this site.

As far as we know they purchased this domain, so it is not going anywhere, but we as much in the dark as you are.

Considering all the crap Curse and Magic Find pulled on the former Hearthpwn team, you might want to think twice if this is actually good news....
See here for more (the first one might look familiar to you^^):
Yes, some people got the short end of the stick on this one, I have worked here for over 12 years now, I have seen people come and go, they start new projects, that either become successful or teeter off, but one thing I have learned is that owners or staff aren't what makes a site successful, it is the community, a site will fail if there isn't a loyal population, and not to the staff, but to each other.
I know this may sound corny but it is 100% true, without you guys out there interacting with each other the builds would never get made, the forums would be empty, and the stories would be non existent.
DFANS was dead, not ever coming back, I lost hope, was even trying to find a home on one of the other sites, but Magic Find went out of their way to acquire the sites that Fandom shut down, so you guys could stay together! how awesome is that? So don't let the few bad cases ruin the way you feel about the site.

What about the possibility that it will be an MMO?
There are been multiple job openings related to an MMO in recent years, One of them was a lead developer spot, and I remember the guy stating "he was happy to be joining the Diablo team" before the tweet was promptly removed.

Activision is Shameless, and will not give up control of their properties regardless of partnerships, so for them to now have two games on battle.net...exclusively at that, means they potentially have more control over Blizzard than previously thought.
