Someone commented on Facebook that it's a Cataclysm set in Warcraft. Don't know how true that is, but...
I'm sure if it's even close, we'll get tons of people complaining they don't want Warcraft in Diablo.
Truthfully, I don't mind it. Warcraft made Blizzard a household name, and without a million bazillion different flagship series', I don't blame them for having crossovers and nods.

As a former Warcraft player, I could see that someone might think it is a little bit like the Warrior's tier armor set at the end of Cataclysm (http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=-466). However, I think that it looks much more like what we would have expected a nephalem to look like in the first generation. It looks both angelic and demonic.
Man I really love the way this game plays I honestly just wish they went into the other direction with character's art design. I like more traditional, modest armor/weapon designs. I'm really okay with the flamboyancy of some weapons, but I really think these armor designs are just gaudy.

I didn't make this or anything, it was posted on the official Diablo Facebook Page
That guy was trollin'. I doubt Blizzard would post a WoW set just for the lolz.
I think they going to start selling cosmetics sets ( HATS ) , you know they have to milk the fans some way , no free lunch even tho you pay for entering the restaurant

Yeah, I can see your point. This set isn't bad but the shoulders are a bit over the top, imo.

I like the both angelic and demonic like you mention. Seeing as the character class is balancing good and evil resources, I think it fits well.
In this thread, different people like different things.
Transmogrification!
Or vanishing dye. I've been rocking the minimalist look for a while now.
Exactly this. I for one LOVE over the top armor, it just adds to the high fantasy of fighting angels / demons with weapons and spells.
Luckily they added xmog for you people who hate it, and vanishing dye =P win win!
That's true, but it kinda sucks that one has to stick with the 'old' (and, therefore, already seen many many times) look because the 'new' look is so over the top.
I prefer a more realistic approach to armour styles.
Then again, the original basic armor tiers are almost never used. Take shoulders fx.. Everyone is either using crafted shoulders or Vile Wards. You could customise your character with tier 3 or 4 armor sets, and it'll look spanking new 'cause it's almost never seen. I plan to!
Not if you play Hardcore.
Really? I only play hardcore and 99.9% of level 60 chars are wearing either crafted Archon shoulders or Vile Wards in the shoulder slot...
Blizzard posted it on FB a few minutes ago.
Thoughts?
Nothing posted yet, if I see any others I'll be sure to add them!

It is still a WIP though, I'm sure.
Lunch is free. Fancy plates are extra.

At least we have transmog now
