Since many of you are aware, since 1.0.3. is released there's no even point farming act 3 and act 4.
I'm farming Act 1 for days now, getting of course bags full of crap but at least better then nothing such is act 3 and act 4.
Honestly, since 1.0.3 I didn't get a single item I could use or sell (AH / RMAH).
This is very frustrating for me and my friends. I've been farming act 3 and 4 for almost 4 weeks and changes like this are making people who progressed at start simply quit the game completely or wait for the fix.
That's odd because my experience has been the opposite. I've never had runs as good as they've been since 1.0.3. I found multiple ilvl 63 items last night in Act 1 that were very good and sold in the 8 figure range, each. I guess it's just being lucky or unlucky. My drops before the patch seemed to be crap.
And there's no use farming anything above Act 2 until they get the drop rate fixed.
They are posting a dev blog this week, they said they agree that Act 3/4 is too low.
I dont know how you are farming and not finding at least good stuff to sell, I find like 10-20 decent GAH gear every day.....
Worse thing of all is that me and my friends are doing full act 3 runs, 3 or 4 runs a day which is like 100 + more elite groups.
Rarely, but rarely since patch we get a single usable item.
Before patch we had at least one legendary a day, something is really not right.
Waiting for dev's response on this, hopefully they will fix it soon cause no one is farming act 3 anymore, it's just pointless.
Kripp would like a word with you........ (no RMAH, 0 deaths, cleared Inferno)
More like "Paytocompensateforsucking"
Even I have a huge respect to Kripp for what he achieved, you have to keep in mind that he got a lot of help from his friends and such.
You can't talk about game and taking some ubber hardcore player who had 3 characters died in HC as an example.
Hardcore requires the best internet connection, luck and the most of all a lot of focus.
Diablo is not really a game where you need to be ubber pro, since it's a constant gear check.
Don't compare 0.000000000000001% of players to entire community, it's just so wrong.

your one of those guys who needs to make a farming guide, or did you already?
all the farming guides ive seen so far ( youtube vids )are wizards, are you a wizard?
They did this so more ppl use the RMAH and they gain more money. They think we're stupid and we wont notice the nerf in drop rates or rolling stats.
Remove your tinfoil hat...
Believing that a company would make alterations to their product to support a recurring source of revenue is not a "conspiracy theory", it is simple logic. Of course they won't make changes to the game that make the RMAH lose its appeal, that's basic business sense. Of course, that doesn't mean Act III and IV drops were nerfed specifically for this reason, but thinking it is a possible hardly makes one a loony "tinfoil hat-er".
Blizz themselves said the drop rates were too low, and they obviously changed them. What's so crazy exactly? It's easy to call some a conspiracist (yes, I know, not a word), it's harder to use your brain a bit and think about the situation as a whole.

My main route in Act 1 is pretty popular, and simple;
Set the quest to the "Cursed hold" (2nd in Butcher questline)
Cemetary for random leet spawn by waypoint, then Festering woods (full clear, usually 4-5 elites), then Leorics Manor (2-3), then Jail (Prison quest, Warden, elites on the way down + Butcher), then check Old Ruins for both cellars.
easy-peasy
You can send me a PM if you want my Battletag info, and I can take you with us to show you the route. (several people from this very forum actually roll with me as well, great group of guys, fun times!)
And no, im not a Wizard, Bul-Kathos for life, Barbarian. ;p

You don't go into the crypts at all? Each of them will have an elite pack and they're usually near the entrance.

I have tried that, and I have personally concluded that its not really worth the extra time, everything pre SK seems to have a lower drop table.
I have been experimenting with building up the NV stack in the Fields of Despair after the Cemetary stop in, and it does take a bit long (big area, have to sweep for caves and such) and have been having mixed results. (Festering woods/Manor/Prision seem to have the very best drops, Festering Woods has been really, REALLY good to me;p)
I may add in one of those 2 if we can find a way to keep it fast, right now we can blitz through the current route really, really quick, then restart, it seems to yield the best loot for time ratio ATM.
(But hey, I would be willing to try out these alternate options with you to see how it works out ;p)
Stop beeing stupid people. IF they nerfed drops intentionally, it's cause the game would be so boring if good things dropped all the time.
Take your RMAH tinfoil-hats off and put them deep in the closet and don't take them out again.
You obviously haven't played enough of Act 3 and 4 or you are just one of those 0.0000001% who are lucky.
Drop rate is not low, it's broken and there's a difference in it.
You can farm for 12 hours, you will get nothing and you will never get anything in the value of an upgrade or similar.
So don't compare broken to low drop rate, it's completely different.
From 100 packs killed, we should get at least one item which is useful for something, we simply don't. It's nor RNG anymore, it's a broken game now.

It's 'broken' precisely because it's RNG. The laws of statistics don't bend just because they're implemented in a game. The odds of getting no useful items after 100 kill is actually fairly high... and the Torchlight devs haven't discovered some magical quantum manipulator that makes people luckier. They just hand out more loot faster... but that still doesn't guarantee that people will get a good upgrade after killing 100 elites.
The main difference in a lack of reward feeling, is level progression, D2 you could do days of Baal runs and not get anything good, but you knew you were still leveling, getting closer to level 95 or even 99, but when you're stuck at 60 and no items drop, you've gained nothing (besides most likely a large repair bill)

if you don't buy, they don't care if you quit, since you already paid $60 for the game, they just want to say to you, "f u, k thx bye"
