I guess that the random stats are.. *puts on sunglasses*, pretty random. yeahwwww
    [SARCASM] Wow, u don't say?? [/SARCASM]
I guess that u didn't exactly understand the question, so let me clarify for u...
All items can't carry all affixes, for example, boots don't carry critdamage, shoulders don't carry sockets etc etc...so the "random" magic properties, are randon within a specific pool of possible affixes. It's these affixes i'm interested in

I suspect the rings will likely have ring affix pool assignment, I know legendaries do not adhere to their item class affix pools, but I feel the ring probably will as they have access to a very large affix pool.

I got my character--ember mage--to character 26. My feelings and observations are mixed but overall positive:
+ The game has that "I just explore that last corner of the map" urge built into it. I want to wander around the map just exploring, fighting and finding riches.
*Game actually rewards you for time spent exploring, instead of finding the most efficient path.
+ Some kind of hard to identify "old school" feeling to the game
*It is purposefully designed to feel that way
+ Lots of loot options from get-go
*No AH so you need to look at things that drop for a longer period of time
+ Lots of side quests and optional events, e.g. phase beast.
*Phase beasts are awesome, random minidungeon events
    + Locked golden chests !!!
*Bit of a pain, but refer to enjoying the exploring the map to find the key
    - Controls are way too complex to start with. The game does not try very hard to introduce you slowly to the mechanics.
*Left click, right click, numbers 1-10, however yes there isn't really a tutorial, only tips, would be nice to have some form of tutorial area
    - Very little hits/tips for more complex aspects of the game
    *Exploration.....
    - Combat system is clunky, targeting is weird, you sometimes have a feeling you do not have your character fully under control
*I agree with this, the combat is vastly improved over TL1, but still feels slow compared to D3
    - Only 2 quick cast skills feel repetitive, rest of the skills is a lot harder to access
*Assign skills/spells to your skill bar (1-10)
    - Skill progression system is again "strange". It is not clear whether I should spend all available points or save the more later. It was not clear whether you can use earlier skill points for skills unlocked later.
*Exploration again, try things out, see what works for you. If you want to respec, there is already a mod for that.

I love both games, and will continue playing both, I have over 300 hours in D3, have currently ~30 in TL2.
They are different and both have their ups and downs, once the Mystic is released being able to enchant items will be good.

posted a message on Monster Power 1 = All Monsters in Inferno Level 63 - XP/MF Numbers @ lvl 60 Inside
Lylirra "So, the moment you go into Inferno with any kind of Monster Power (e.g. Monster Power 1 and above), all monsters become level 63, and they can now all drop iLevel 63 items the same way that Act III and Act IV Inferno currently do. However, bumping up Monster Power beyond 1 will not further increase your chance of getting iLevel 63 items."

You do not get bonus EXP at 60 for monster level, only MF and GF
I have a feeling this system will be re-worked prior to, or shortly after release, otherwise there is no point doing above Mlvl 1 unless you're bored and want to farm slower, the speed vs MF/GF bonus doesn't sound like it will even out.

posted a message on anyone using chakram build?
I'm loving Chakram, as Lanthazer said, the only good rune is Razor Disk, and he has correctly advised the flaws with other runes.
Chakram isn't meant to replace your spender, so much as your generator/main, it's meant to be geared around so that it costs close to, or less than your hatred per sec.
    http://us.battle.net...76/hero/6943504 is my gear/spec.
There are a other items you can use to reduce Chakram cost besides chest, such as Mara's neck or Skullgrasp ring.
Chakrams are very very good at taking advantage of terrain, shooting in places you otherwise could not (creating a chakram cloud on stairs from a ledge above without direct line of sight.)

I know, that's why I run with the Bat :P

You can get a Mara's with Chakram reduce too, they are cheap, or Skullgrasp if you have funds :P

Chakram works kinda like Neth Tent, hits multiple targets, but once each only. For 187% damage rather than a generator (Bola is ok with increased damage, but i don't like waiting for the explodes), I see 200-250k crits with it, 350ish with Impale.

Though with ToC at the moment, you can use that to smash elites without other attacks if you have a lot of disc/regen and prep :P

Curious is anyone else has tried no generators? Would love some feedback from others who have.
I'm using Chakram and Impale with great efficiency in Act 3/4.

    Gear/Spec: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Robzy-6476/hero/6943504

I'm using a Chakram based Chest, i also have a Chakram based Amulet, but have found with 9 hatred per sec I don't need the Amulet, as I passively regen enough hatred to spam Chakram almost indefinitely (lose 1.5 hatred per sec if I'm standing still shooting or stuttering)
Impale's hatred per damage coefficient coupled with Grievous Wounds makes bursting down 1 of an elite pack before they get close enough to ToC them.

Thanks to BobBobson regarding the information regarding Chemical burn's DoT being able to Crit, I avoided Chemical burn as I didn't feel I could withhold myself from using another Impale within 2 seconds, but if the DoT can Crit, this should give me enough incentive to give it a go and hold back on the 2nd impale.

Starspine going from Legendary to Rare, and some other crafted Legendaries either not changing or having very weak changes....
Crafting is definitely meant to be very niche in application, more just to help people get into Inferno. Damn :(

Edit: Thanks so much for the work on bringing this info to us!

posted a message on Does 1.04 address resource usage???
RockmanDoom, you sound like a raging spoiled little brat.
Learn to: use Grenadier, get some equipment with Hatred per sec, and use Bat familiar and Templar follower.
Cluster with Loaded for Bear = 290% initial + 4x 100% bombs, EleArrow + Ball lightning = 77.5% per hit, hits most enemies 2-3 times. Neth Tentacles hits enemies once for 155%. So basically 10 hatred for half the damage. Now consider Cluster is an instant, does AoE on initial and secondary hits, and you can move while using it. Ele arrow you can stutter but makes it less effective due to stream directional changes which means less mobility. AKA different utiliy and design between skills, dislike Cluster, then go use something else.
Also, go play a Wizard and use hard hitting abiities like Meteor, that uses ~a third of your resource pool.
Maybe do some research or I don't know.....try some new things yourself??? Instead of swearing like an idiot.

Some great changes, a couple of not so great ones too though.
Invul minions is a pain, but you want difficult encounters, if you wanted everything to be easy all the time, you would just play Hell mode. Reduce it's frequency (it's already fairly rare anyway) to keep some really hard content, it was already nerfed anyway (main enemy health reduced)
Monster hp was fine as it was... as long as they removed the enrage and health regen to full.
I think monster damage should be increased if they are reducing health in this manner.

I'd really like to see champion levels, or simply level 99, but no gear requirements past 60. The tiny stat increases make farming much more worthwile, as well as a slight epeen level when you hit 95+ can be a reward in itself too. Some see that as a meaningless grind, but a lot of people see it as a minor additional reward for farming while in high level gear.

An endless dungeon would be good, all these areas in the game with only 2 levels is not Diablo-like in style, we LOVE descending down deeper and deeper (Cursed hold having 4 levels broken up into 2 segments of 2 is not this) The only thing that even looks like it was attempting to begin that direction was the trip down to Cydaea and Azmodan, but that was only a few levels and I'd consider it a mini dungeon.

posted a message on Cains Death wasn't epic enough.
    Worst death ever.
In game cutscene, dies to a MINION or a less evil....by butterflies.....
Should have been something more like: Goes into the dream Leah is trapped in to try and save her, gets blasted by the evils.... or set upon by all the other evils stored in the black soulstone and gets his soul ripped apart by them, ......or eaten by Azmodan during the assault on the keep, or killed by Adria during her betrayal, or blasted by DiabLeah.... heck, even crushed by Belial would have been better.

I noticed that he used the word refurbished, when talking about the legendary items. Is there hope that they might modify the existing items as well as buffing the new ones?
They have already stated they will not be updating existing items.
Besides, why update existing items when the new shiny ones will make you want to use the RMAH to upgrade from old to new?

After reading about Blood 2, I'm very seriously considering selling all my gear and using the balance to buy the next couple of SC2 expansions as they come out.
D3 sounds like it won't ever get fixed or brought up to the level it should have been.
