posted a message on All of this has happened before and will happen again, sorta.
I'm not really sure what the complaint is? Unless it's a simple case of you want more? They DID introduce new 'game changing' legendaries, lots of them. It just boils down to which ones are the most powerful, and whether you'd call them game changing or not. And if you're in the latter camp, then I have bad news to tell you; It's going to be more of the same. The new legendary affixe's they'll put on old plain legendaries, as well as new ones, will synergize with skills, such as the new meteor staff, or compliment them, such as Kridershot, or just add something to your character, such as say Firewalkers.

I'm starting to think people confused 'game changing' with 'game breaking'. Just because an item doesn't make your skill a one shot death AOE doesn't mean it's not game changing in some way.

Also, you're naive if you think every single legendary will be game changing - there's hundreds of them. Eventually they'll nail down something for every plain legs, but just like there's varying tiers of rarity in the legendaries, there has to be varying power with that.

And lastly - yes, we've been down this road, because we are STILL going down this road. The process of fixing old plain legendaries, as well as adding new ones will be ongoing. You might as well create this thread every time a new patch comes out.

    What?
RRoG comes from Act 1 Horadric Cache. Period. The end. That is the only source. I'm not sure how a Rift Guardian is even being mentioned as a possibility.
Besides what Phuzi0n said (it can also drop from act 4's), the OP is asking because there used to be a greater cache from the rift guardian, but that loot got changed to just drop from the RG, so he's curious is cache only items can then drop from the RG (they can't).

posted a message on Is anyone else really frustrated?
You bring up the multiple builds argument from D2. Passing over the fact that each class in D2 only had a couple actual builds as well, the reason why they all worked more or less the same is difficulty. With just a couple good items hell mode was faceroll.

But now that we have torment and greater rifts, with each increase it becomes more and more crucial to eek out the absolute most dps possible, which distorts the perception of what builds are 'viable'. If you limited yourself, with good gear, to T1 or T2, you'd find almost every build you can come up with would work.

It's just an unfortunate side effect of increasing difficulty. It's also why you see the roller coaster you described in terms of buffing and nerfing.

So while I'm glad Blizzard continues to iterate and balance, it should be known that when pushed to the limits there will always be a best build, and when time matters that means the couple percent variant is instead a huge gap. And unless we make every skill the same, this will continue to happen until the end of time.

posted a message on Will we be seeing a new..
I don't think people are grasping the idea of later levels of a greater rift. They are SUPPOSED to be impossible. The design is that, currently, getting into the 40's is a pretty big feat for most players, at least on PTR. And that's supposed to be the soft cap, where players will then have to work very hard just to get past one more level.

And the idea of brand new items that immediately invalidate the hundreds of other legendaries? Horrible. TinyHell is correct that Blizzard is working hard to do the opposite of that; bring in new items every season that while powerful, they can co-exist along current legendaries in terms of power wise.

posted a message on Select a legendary every 100 paragon levels
Sorry OP, but while I think rewards every 100P lvls would be cool, I don't think this idea would pan out.

What if they got super bad rolls on their item? That would feel even worse then just not getting lucky enough to have it drop.

Paragon is account wide, so essentially anyone not playing ladder will be screwed out of this option once they get high enough paragon.

Personally, I think Kadala and gambling is a little too streamlined as it is, and straight up being able to choose which legendary you want will do more harm then good.

posted a message on 2.1 - the death of RiF - RIP.
    Quote from Catalept
I'm not sure that this will impact RiF at all... in the end, you can still enter torment rifts using keys from normal, and you can still bounce between 95% complete rifts, killing endbosses as you go, it just costs you one key per boss kill now... which is basically nothing. RiF will also be the most efficient way to farm GR keys, too... exacerbated by the fact that you can enter a torment GR with a key from a normal-mode rift.
Of course it will impact RiF.

The current incentive for players who actually clear the rift to invite people in is they get a free rift opened after. Now there's zero upside for the people who would otherwise invite you to the RG kill.

In other words, sitting in chat waiting for an open RG kill spot will be (in my opinion, my prediction) almost completely gone.

They're implementing a new game mode, and giving it a nice incentive to play it. I'm sorry if you don't want to play it.

posted a message on Why we should be able to buy Gold/trading system
I might be able to get in 1-2 hours a night, I've been working a ton since launch. Even with that, I'm still able to maintain 5-10m gold, while re-rolling for 3 classes that I switch back and forth from.

    Gold's at an O.K spot.
