This though is the D2 Diablo. We need to stay in touch with what the game currently is. The main logo up there was changed with a Diablo 3 logo, so why not bump the diablofans watermarks with his third reincarnation as well. Even MMO-C changed their design recently although the site is flooded with millions of people on a daily basis.Quote from Periculum
I wouldn't change it. In my opinion, the Lord of Terror is still recognizable in the Logo and more importantly, it has become a well known trademark by now, which many, many people will actually recognize and connect with the name DiabloFans.com. I guess, that's just my humble opinion though. So if you change it (which u apparently plan to do), please make sure to choose a new one, that has similarities to the old Logo.
People don't like change but they get used to it. :]] - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Again, there is zero reason to be worried.
EDIT: And for the SC2 key, pff, are you kidding? You had to be extremely lucky to NOT get a beta key. Every guy and his dog and the dog's 3 puppies had at least 5 keys each. :]

With that being said Clan support (like the chat channels) is welcome. Maybe in the future some group achievements like "Have 10 players in your clan bypass Normal difficulty" with a small reward like... a unique dye color? Bought from a Clan Vendor with unique merchandise? Or perhaps that's a good way to implement pets (which would still be very lovely in a Diablo-like game).

What I mean is, like in SC2, everyone's playing field is separate and there won't be any "unfair" situations. It's just the time zones in the way.

Do you mean if it's gonna be released locally at 12:01 at each separate time zone? If so, then yes.
Edit: I got both Cata and SC2 at 12:01 in my time zone.

In SC2 there's almost nothing to be tracked or stored on Blizz servers. Almost everything is stored client side. There are are few statistics here and there, mostly win/lose ratios, achievements and campaign tracking. Algorithms for points and ladder standings. But that is all. There's no need to check if the hardware is performing well since there's not a lot of stuff that is needed to load on the servers.
In Diablo 3 the entire characters are stored on the servers (WoW), their skill choices (WoW), their inventories (WoW), their stash (WoW) and ofc the progress of each character which is far more than making the servers remember "Mission 2 has been completed". Also each game is randomized and all the randomization is handled server side with only the models/textures being on the client. Each item dropped on the ground is handled by the servers (WoW). There are far too many similarities to WoW than to SC2.
With that being said... WoW is closing in on being 7 years old now and the server architecture may have been figured out by Blizz engineers already. Hopefully that's the case since, of course, no one would want a full night of not being able to play. Just like in WoW.
The hotfixes being mentioned will of course be handled instantaneously and content patches will require scheduled maintenance. But that has been the Blizzard way for years. No need to speculate on it.

In any way, 16:9 will always show more space and the reason was given by Winged a few posts above.
