Matter cannot be created without energy, and energy cannot be created... Only change forms. Simply put, science creates a paradox in which we should and cannot exist without a higher power. God may not be a being on a throne... He may not even have the capacity to be self aware... But science points to the fact that something sparked the universe/ multiverse/ big bang.
You can try to reply and question god's origin... But that logic is flawed. If he/it lies outside of the rules of realitivistic physics.. then time does not appt and no origin is required.
It is quite honestly more simple minded to claim there is no god than to worship the great pumpkin.
All you are saying is that we don't yet understand what the universe was like before the big bang. It must be possible for matter to be created, because matter "exists" right now. We only experience matter changing forms and being converted to energy, but somehow the matter got created in the first place. Our universe may be the result of a previous universe that collapsed back on itself, maybe there have been N universes prior to ours.
God is not a solution/answer to this mystery any more than ancient greeks blaming things on celestial movements.
In all this no matter how many universes there were you eventually have to come back to a beginning... at least as we understand time and space. Thus from a human perspective there has to have been something to kick start all of this... was it a divine creator... possibly (In fact I personally think so)... or was it something else... if so what is that something else? -

Honestly, I freaking love how the majority of the commentators in here are Europeans. Always the critic eh Europe?
I love how you guys bitch and moan about America and all our wars, yet each and ever war that we have gone into in the last 100 years is caused by some european country. In the end we can actually trace the iraq situation far enough back... beyond us arming saddam to the europeans (*cough* ottoman empire * cough*.
How about how we also explain the weapons sales by Europeans to Saddam and the taliban?
I also don't get how considering the entire last 500 years of Europe you guys DARE to preach to us about imperialism?

Apples are the biggest marketing ploy in commercial history. They offer NOTHING better than a high end PC (and by high end i mean STILL half the cost). They are NOT fundamentally safter than a PC (except for the fact that macs are not as common and hence not targeted as much). They are NOT more stylish than a PC, unless you are into looking like a yuppy girl.
And yes you are right girls do like Apple... its because it takes a non tech savy sap to buy one.

Dude... you are a tool. You are the exact reason I believe that there should be a manditory test in order to vote.
If you stupid communists would actually stop and think for a minute you would understand that corporations are actually good for everyone. They produce consumer goods at a cheaper rate due to wait... what... oh yeah.. CAPITALISM. They create jobs which happen to reward those that have better value to society, therefore creating incentive and ambition to succeed. When profitable they rewards those that are smart enough to actually invest instead of squander their money (owning shares in a company)...
Best of all... they allow the power to remain outside of the hands of the public sector. I'm sorry but social redistribution has nothing to do with equality rather than greed / envy / entitlement. Because your neighbor went to college... became a doctor... and now has a nice car you think you deserve one too.
Now lastly... I am not a republican... I am a CAPITALIST.
