sabvre no need to tell others to stfu. also many people feel drop rate is low and they are going to buff it slightly. and who is gosu. i imagine someone many don't know about or care about.
I apologize for my approach... but seriously I'm sick of the 2000+ crowd feeling entitled to the game being tailored to them. I'm also sick of the people that speed rush the game, and expecting blizzard to tailor to them as well. Diablo is not a subscription game, and as such should neither receive the content, nor be played as such. 300 hours into any non MMO over a two year span should be considered plenty....

This whole "don't tell me how to play" bullshit argument is tiresome.... it's a fucking game.. you know.. with defined rules... and defined intentions.

If the developers want you to play, or not play a certain way, then accept it or fuck off.... This game isn't for you.. move on.

It's THEIR game.. they created it. Blizzard decided to NOT make Diablo 3 a sandbox... sorry.

    I don't understand you people....

    Blizzard just gave us:
Character permanence - you can't just flip item builds at the drop of a hat.
Unique characters - FOTM item builds will be less frequent.
    No hacks/bots/third party sites
Chance of balanced PVP - there can be assumed strength progression based on time played vs statistical chances and std deviation.
Defined character progression - you can't just stack your little brother/ neighbor on their first day playing.
Additional reason to party up - 4 friends playing together is 4x the drops.

Yet you guys still whine and bitch. You guys will never be happy with this game.... if blizzard changed this to an exact D2 clone, people would scream about all the problems that were part of D2....

I think you guys don't see all the good in this...

    1.) No bots
    2.) No third party sites
3.) Sub prime drops will now appear good as players are now on an even playing field. No more players such as Athene that get fed and make everyone else think their gear sucks. No more trade scams/tycoons.
4.) PvP can finally find a center of balance. Just like esports, everyone has an even playing field. No ability to use real money.. no ability to use suicidal connections to stack up.

Trading is fun for some people.

Sometimes, the thrill of a great drop is the items value on trade. If I find a GREAT barb legendary, I'm not gonna play barb.....so it's useless to me. Instead of being able to trade it for a great WD or Monk item, I'm stuck with my best drop ever collecting dust....can't even give it to my buddy for free.

    There's a middle ground here.

Trading end game items is the path of least resistance. Especially when you eBay all your gear on your next rage quit ruksak ;). Now someone else just went from zero to sixty in 1 second flat.

Again we just eliminated spam, botting, account compromises, third party sites, and overall pay to win.

    Quote from Pikoslav

Position in memory is obtained by adding offset to base pointer.
Offset is usually obtained by multiplying index and element size.
So, index <> position in memory.

But this is super OT, so I'll stop.

When you have a structure of varying data sizes, your math is not correct. Each data element has a defined size, regardless of whether or not it's fully used (store a 1 in a long int).

Element one is a bool, element two is a long int... you don't take the starting address + average the two to find its position in memory... it's the starting address + index looping through each element's size.

In the above example the address of a third element would be: starting address+ size of bool+size of long int (again varies on the system)

    Quote from Lenekk

"All items with a visual appearance are currently planned to be eligible for Transmogrification, including Legendary and Set items. In order to use a specific visual appearance, you’ll first need to unlock it; once unlocked, however, that appearance will be available to all heroes on your account. Common, Magic, and Rare item appearances will unlock as you level up the Mystic, while Legendary and Set item appearances will unlock only after you’ve identified them."

So, does this mean that classes will be able to wear (visually) the armor sets belonging to other classes? For example, if I unlock an armor set on my barb, can I then use that set (visually) on my DH? That would mean I could transmog my DH helm to a WD mask. That seems a bit off to me.

No. It only means you could wear that that leather bra (tier 1) on your she barb with max level stats.

    Okay. :)

Is May the official announced release date?

No -- They haven't said anything at all themselves, the xpac website states "Coming 2014".
