Shall we partake in a guessing game before the event? Allow oneself one guess of an archetype of ones choosing for the next class such that they not match any other guess, and should a confirmed guess be made, reps would be rewarded to you... with comments... Not a particularly beneficial reward perhaps, but better than fleeting kudos. Thus:
Hyerophant: Mix Ice/Wind/Lihgting/Holy spells !
or
Something like a ninja: Bow/Dagger user with stealth and traps !
or
Bloshblabla: A Goat-like Mushroom who uses poison spells and leech life !
how about a 'Monk' class? similar to the paladin but with extensive punching/melee moves and high dodge/avoid skills. i don't really like the idea but what else can replace the Paladin class?
Not much, really. The Paladin wasn't present in Diablo I, though, and people got along fine. They said that they don't want to "replace" characters, really- they want to make new ones. The monk idea has been tossed around by plenty of people for years, though, so you're not alone
From the bow drops, some type of Archer I imagine. Or as always some type of pure magic caster.
As long as they keep them fresh as promised with new skills, abilities, personalities, ect. Anything will probably be fun and like D2 I'm sure most people will have one of every class at some point
i love the idea of a monk character. who uses the holyness(heal, aura, thunderbolt) of the paladin and the skills(a marital arts, traps, stealth, ect) of the assassin, i dont know i was just thinking that would be a cool idea...
I'm hoping for a Spellsword type class.... using skills similar to "vengeance" on the Paladin skill tree.... but a whole class devoted to a combination of Spells and Damage? That, in my honest opinion, would be truly epic!

Also, we know that one of the classes isn't even really playable yet, so there must be something complicated about that class that makes it harder than the others (or they just haven't gotten around to it yet).
Out of all the potential classes, a mage with all their awesome spells or some kind of shapeshifter seem the most complicated. I doubt a ranger would be complicated, unless bow and arrows are difficult to code?
just because theres no returning classes (except barbarian) it doesnt mean there wont be anyone of similar ability to any previous classes. so maybe a paladin with a different title and skilltree
Wouldn't that just basically be the paladin revised for D3? Kind of like the barbarian has some new skills.
I don't think we'll see a returning paladin like class.
I hope they reveal all three remaining classes at this upcoming Blizzcon. It would be very annoying if they just revealed one then made us wait another year to hear about the others.

Hungry? Why Wait? Grab a Barbarian!

They have a melee (barbarian) and a caster (WD) so I think the range will come next.
Besides that I think the purecaster and support archtypes are more anticipated and they'll make us wait longer for that.
I'd like to see a spellsword though.

We're in for some serious long waiting
