if you guys wondering why Gabynator is not streaming.... this thread is the reason.
And here I thought I would try to compete for the leaderboard in s3.... Pretty hard when the exploiters got 100-200k more blood shard acquired than anyone else.
I don't plan to use this, but main idea is, the more people know about it, the faster it will be hotfixed.
And looking back at S1 and S2 exploit users (exploit as high trial keys, switching gear while in GRift, XP exploit and so on), I'm not sure, how many of those got punished.
So whoever used this, just had/has a lot of free shards, to get near perfect items, before hotfix.

Yeah, Mr.Legit Gabynator... rofl
Anyway we can't really know that this is the reason he's not streaming but i guess it's a bit fishy.
I'am just worried that if they actually fix this, they'll also end up nerfing the bonus xp you get from higher GRs. Personally i really don't see this as that big of a problem.
Honestly i didn't even see the Sever glitch as that big of a problem either. The fact that they fixed it mid season, thereby killing the competition was the real issue.
I was in a few streams last night, and all I kept hearing was "Datmodz and Gaby are exploting scumbags." but the exploit itself was never detailed in the conversations. This would make sense.

He streams 18 hours a day ... every day. Exploit comes along. Gaby stops streaming. 1 + 1 = 3?
Why is doing this more fun, beneficial, and lucrative, than doing a Greater Rift the normal way?
Furthermore, no one is getting banned for this. Unless Blizzard issues in-game warning, players have fair grounds to play within the scope of the game, unaltered.
Blame QA, not the players who are just trying to keep up/compete/find some enjoyment in the grind. Bugs add interesting spikes in an otherwise static experience right now.
I'd also say that we discovered this by accident two days ago due to a failed GR cancellation and did not try to duplicate in days following, sighting that 2 minute GR35 runs were overall more beneficial in terms of primarily exp, but also total Legs + Bloodshards per hour.

What you just spewed is complete bullshit. Blizzards 'warning' is the eula, they don't have to specifically name every single instance of possibilities.
This is supposed to be a 4 month long season and we're less than a week in. There needs to be punishment for this, whether it's a ban or a gear reset as we'll as leader board position wiped. Exploits always get through, but what will make me greatly disappointed in Blizzard is if there's no rectification.
I have already said this on the Reddit comments (and as expected got many downvotes for it), however I think it's a good idea to give you a perspective of how much of an impact this exploit is going to have.
Most people seem to overreact whenever they hear the term "exploit" and say things like "this season is ruined" and / or "ban all of the exploiters". The truth is, none of these exploits had any noticeable impact whatsoever, and I say this from the point of view of someone who plays this game mostly to compete for rankings and deliberately chose not to use exploits because they were just not efficient enough.
If you look at the big exploits that we have seen in the past (most notably Malthael and XP in S1), you can see that there was always a huge trade-off involved when trying to benefit from these. During the Malthael runs you were not getting anything besides experience, and many people chose not to farm it because you would lose lots with regard to overall character progression, same thing for the experience exploit in S1 (where 3 out of 4 group members were not gaining any benefit at all). It's the same thing here: you can choose to farm a lot of blood shards (at ~2-3x the normal rate, while 1 party member will get next to no benefit whatsoever) or just farm regular rifts (where you will get less blood shards, but overall more drops, mats, gems and lots of experience). In the end, the blood shard exploit is likely going to be fixed soon, and those people that invested dozens of hours now will be behind in many aspects (most notably paragons and gem levels) while they might have gambled a couple of good items (which in the end is just a way to decrease the drop luck dependency if you want to compete on the leaderboards that are already subject to insane levels of RNG).
Why even care if players exploit? They can exploit all they want it still wont help them get higher in GR as they suck in playing overall or they play softcore.. On hardcore this does not have a impact at all. They might get items sooner but the good players always catch up and the n00bs will always be n00bs.

I'm not arguing with you, but what about a good player that uses the exploit? It could give them a survivability or dps advantages that other good players that don't exploit. Just something to consider.
As others have pointed out, this glitch isn't efficient if you know what you're doing and actually intend on being competitive. The only point where this becomes worthwhile besides the fun of 4k shards is if you have people feed you blood shard goblin games. I doubt many will be doing that, but perhaps a few high profile people.

While I do agree with a good portion of your post, what I do not agree with is the "lost time" comment from exploiting instead of grinding rifts or whatever. In regards to the accused streamers, they are already 500+ PL into a season that's not even a week old yet. The time spent exploiting is just a fraction of time considering that they are light years ahead of almost everyone else in paragon levels. Their important gems are all level 50+ as well, so there really isn't any catch-up to be had.
Found this on reddit (seems like almost same issue as it was with XP glitch in S2...):
http://www.reddit.com/r/diablo3/comments/32rhcl/blood_shard_drop_glitch/
According to a YT video in the thread, one of them got 2000 BS on a T4 goblin, while the group was doing a GR33.

Is this a Seasonal glitch or does this happen in non seasonal too? Anyone know?

I would assume it happens in NS, too.

Modz did it once to see if it worked then reported it.
Meanwhile I watched a random streamer do it multiple times and gamble a full ancient barb set in about an hour.

Nobody will get banned.
Everyone is using that thing now. The chat is full of people asking for party for gob farm.
Do you think they will ban 30% of the players (made up number )? They will ban streamers?
cmon be real. Nothing will happen. Will be hotfixed and some will get lots of shards and lots of items and the others won't.
Edit: You have streamers doin it right now live, with lots of people viewing. Everyone will try and bring friend along. No ban is possible..
A temporary ban and maybe a leaderboard ban would be a solution.. a full ban wont happen
