I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
IMHO the hud is very similiar to Titan Quest (the skill icons especially).
HuD you meant the action bar? Umm heck no. The icons? double heck no. This is coming from a guy that has played Titan Quest for 250+ hours and still playing it from time to time
Although at 1 point blizz kinda tried and approach their skill tree mechanic which of course in the end didn't work out.

I wonder what does the "Continue saved quest or start a new quest" mean. You would choose quests before entering the game? And you could just change the primary quest that easily?
Wonder how many other people have the name "muddbutt".. don't think hell be too hard to track down and get fired or banned.
One thing I'm not too happy about is the character select screen scrolls through the characters rather then having them all standing side by side... but oh well.
I'm very disappointed by the leaked stuff so far. Graphics settings seem very low because you can see every pixel and a lot of things seem quite unfinished...the selection screen has nothing on the D2 screen (which is an 11 years old game!!!!). At the last picture the barbarian isn't even holding the damn shield in his hand, it's just stuck to his arm... I really hope this is just really old footage and stuff because I am not impressed at all.

Aaah, the good old D2 selection screen... I mean just look at it...detailed surroundings, detailed and stylized characters, badass poses (I would click on the necro until my mouse went dead)...the screen we saw leaked has simply nothing impressive on it whatsoever. Yes, the characters are actually more detailed on the D2 screen because they are sprited separately and not made with the ingame engine...nothing wrong with doing it that way to make it look good. I hope their motivation wasn't "you're supposed to be killing monsters and not looking at the menu, so we made the menu ugly so you don't spend time there". Seeing the screen that is on the official page...I'm still hopeful that was just a placeholder.

ENOUGH with the bullshit leaks, enough with low res pictures and beta footage rolls that looks like crap, while other videoes look epic..enough with different character screens on official pages and different ones in a beta leak
ENOUGH BLIZZARD!
Give us the fucking beta, and let us comment on it. Let us see it in full force. No more bullshittery !
I CANT TAKE IT !!!
ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH
Don't give in to your anger! That's the path to the dark...oh screw it!
ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHH! Me want BETA!

There's a difference between character selection and character creation. Character selection in Diablo 2 looked like this:
That said, I have no doubt the Diablo III character creation will look as cool as it looked in the previous versions.
*edit*
this account isn't mine, I just found the image on google.
Character creation screen can be seen in his posted video. And for my taste a bit less appealing than the D2 one.
Right, I kinda missed the point there. I kept thinking of the character selection pictures. I guess it looks more like the WoW character creation now, which still isn't bad. It's probably in the direction "don't spend much time outside of the game, get in and play".

That's what I'm afraid of though. These 'incentives' of theirs somewhat anger me. 'You are supposed to be killing monsters not looking at the menu screens so we made the menu ugly'...'you are supposed to be fighting and completing quests not listening to lore/dialogue/gossip so we make dialogue continue on the run while you are killing stuff'...I won't even go to automatic skill/stat allocation so you don't have to spend time looking at those either... Hm, looks like I just went there anyway. Point is, I'd rather they dedicate sufficient time and effort to all of this instead of minimizing aspects of the game to make room for MOAR combat. Some people just like to take the game nice and slow, enjoy the art and atmosphere of it, soak in some lore and stuff and not just run around and loot. Though it is the core aspect of the game, it's not just that which makes Diablo great. Other ARPGS kill and loot just like Diablo does...but Diablo always was something more as well. I hope they don't streamline it too much.

Just to reply, that would be a buckler. It is supposed to be strapped to your arm instead of being held as a shield.
Guys you have to keep in mind we don't know what graphics setting he is running on as well as the fact he has compressed the image. It's not it's native resolution. It will give that effect to any image, try to take a full screen shot of something and then make it like 600x400.
The full size of his images are 1024x768 which also means he has a pretty awful monitor or graphics card and I'm guessing he's not running it on full settings.

Staring at the screenshots on page 1 and pretending that you can actually click and play the game helps ease the pain.
We're almost there =] brace yourselves.
