Not a huge fan of constant crashes in Mac land, so I'm installing it in boot camp now. How is it possible that instant crashes on clicking the AH button went un-noticed?! I just want to get my gear out of there and be done with it, but that's not possible until I finish installing in windows world. Nice one.
Love it! I already knew i would though, after playing the PTR the past few months I couldn't stand playing live anymore. It's just that much better. And it's not just one particular thing, it's a culmination of all these changes working together that just completely changes the game for me, and in a very positive way.
My only problem now is I'm at work for another 4 hours, and I only got 1 hr in last night due to the extended maintenance . Argg today is going so slow, need a FF button! I suppose continuing to read the forums all day isn't helping my situation though, any probably not help my work performance either. haha
Reset quest chain + guarantied legendary drops from bosses and mini bosses. This I like very much. Makes it fun to not just farm 1 super good spot all the time, but actually makes it not half bad to just go through the entire quest chain.
Can you clarify this? So if you reset the quest chain you get guaranteed legendary drops from all the bosses?
The crafting recipes now require those common junk materials along with the essences, etc. In all of my playtime yesterday, I only saw 2 of those things drop. Do I need to pick up gray crap to salvage?
Yeah, white/grey will D/E into common junk (or whatever it's called). I was annoyed about it at first, but the drop rate is so much lower now I don't mind hoovering everything up. You get a good amount, too - I've seen stuff D/E into 8 or 9 common junks.
I fucking love Odeg. He is such a jerk, it's like just killing him is reward enough in itself I don't even need a drop. He is the kind of villain who just makes you go, "This motherfucker's gon' die" under your breath, even if you're normally a pretty relaxed dude.
lmfao my exact reaction when he one shot my 60 DH. Going through on HC last night we ran into him, and man it was a blast dancing around him and eventually killing him, even if he did just drop two blues >.<
I've been loving it for a while, however I just hit the best for me. I never had a hellfire ring I just could not get the keys or plans to drop being as I could only play on about mp 1-2. Last night i was doing key runs and I got both the Infernal Machine plan AND a key off the warden of act 4 from the same kill. That was awesome I literally cheered.

You now have to pick up MORE junk items... not LESS as was part of main points with Loot 2.0. Why more? Cause you now need to pick up ALL white AND blue items to get all crafting mats needed (and you will want to craft, asap). I did my old standard loot run through half of act 1. I usually almost fill half to all of my inventory on this run. With Loot 2.0 I filled it 5 times... WTF!
The materials themselves drop in pretty large quantities from Goblins, Chests, etc. Trying to get them from common items is probably counter-productive, and if you do pick them up, they DE into several pieces, not just one.
Most lengendaries still suck. Density is too sparse - still isnt right. Crafting disappointing so far. They really hit it out of the park with the difficulty changes though.
I love it. Every change I've seen so far I either like or I understand why it was made. Unfortunately, farming story mode in vanilla areas is still boring but a lot of these features were designed around adventure mode, so it's forgiving. It's a shame that all these nice legendaries I've been finding are level 60 and will become obsolete soon, but again that's not something I hold against Blizzard.
I enjoyed it so much last night it actually brought me to post on forums I've been lurking on for...well, years. I played my wizard for a short amount of time, but spent most of the evening leveling from scratch some characters with RL friends, and it feels like it's Diablo 2 all over again. We picked up 4 legendaries total in a little under 2 hours of gameplay.
We started on Hard, and it was not "hard" enough. Planning on going back tonight and trying Expert.
So far the patch is amazing! Can't wait for RoS to make everything 100x more epic!

Oh don't worry you might find some of those same legendaries at 61+. Soon....soonnnnnn
I think people will find that if they start new characters, or dabble with those that they haven't been, or try new builds; you might have more fun. I suspect that those that have been farming M10 won't find much to do. As it is, I'm having a ton of fun, and can't wait to get home to play.
Loving the clan feature, the density feels pretty great, and overall the game improved tons. I'm leveling a character on hardcore, it's just really, really fun. Don't know how long that fun aspect is going to last this time around, but its clear that the patch is a big step forward in the right direction.

"Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the small death that brings total obliteration."
One thing I really love is the fact that the XP bar is moving again. I stopped at paragon 75 in D3V because it felt like you need to play forever to get to the next level; now you just do a couple of areas in a random zone and almost always get a level-up. Not sure how it feels once you're at paragon 300 or so, but at around the 100 mark (mid-90 right now for me) it's just great motivation.
And of course all the legendaries that I'm eager to find and create a build around...
..but like Zero andSeifa I think the smart loot is just a bit too frequent. I played a spell on a level 40-something WD I was levelling, and it seemed that virtually every drop was a yellow with massive int and vit. I don't think this really does much for the game - it just makes massive primary stat + vitality the baseline for a drop, and the handful of items that don't have it will be instantly worthless.

I was just doing keep/ghom runs last nite.
If that is true what quest would you recommend?
