I'm actually glad about that. I prefer to play solo much of the time due to the way so many people rush and plow through content. I'm glad to see I will be able to farm for items effectively on my own. Even better due to the way MF works in group, even.

this. in Diablo 2 everyone just rushed forward and would not care to leave people behind at all and no one would talk so it was like i was playing by myself anyways <_<.

im sorry to tell you that none of those things increase like they did in D2.

the ONLY thing that changes from solo to co-op is monster HP and monster Damage. that is all. the drops, chance of drops, amount of monsters and gold do not increase at all. it was made this way to avoid making co-op the end-all for item hunting.

also unless you have a group of friends to play with, playing solo will yield better farming because your MF/GF isnt averaged out between the group and you'd be able to kill faster since monster hp is increased by 110% PER person who joins in Inferno and damage by 15% per person also. (it was 6.25% dmg increase in Diablo 2 per person)

Keep in mind that while you can swap skills out whenever you want, doing so wipes your Nephalim stacks.

    this^

before it made no sense to really stick to a build but now that nephalem valor is involved you'll lose a ton of potential items by switching. although with your first playthrough i suppose it doesnt much matter, you may lose a few potential items but its just one run through

Hell no! Going to ENJOY it.

some peoples enjoyment IS rushing through it. people play games for different reasons and in different ways

We don't know even how the skill really works, how can we judge it useless ?

Does the spirit takes damage ? Can you be killed while in the spirit form ? You allways go in spirit form in full HP or with your actual HP ?

It's such a confusing skill, people have to use it before knowing what it does.

i have already tested it in the beta when it was available at lvl 12. lol

    Here is the problem:
You and all the "We can make 60 in 30-60 hour" people all assume that the leveling rate is going to stay the same.

Blizzard has told us repeatedly that you will probably get ass kicked a lot in Nightmare and up, slowing you down. XP doesn't vastly increase as difficulty does, so if you are getting your ass kicked, you actually end up slowing down a LOT taking longer to level.

I wont make predictions because ultimately, we don't know yet and it will all depend on how hard Nightmare and Hell really are.

The only thing we DO know is that it has taken developers about 25 hours on first play throughs and between 15-18 hours on second and up runs.

Of course, everybody assumes that going through Nightmare and Hell will just be faster. For all we know, it takes 3 times longer.

blizzard over-hypes the difficulty of ALL of their games. they always have, and always will. why? because it gets people HYPED derp. for all the D2 veterans we know that it will not be even close to as hard or take as long as they are trying to make it seem. it just wont. for the AVERAGE player, yes. but the average player also sucks lol.

also people who claim that 50/60 hours thing are calculating that most of that time IS in fact spent in hell with the first 15-20 hours getting there because of how stupid-easy normal and NM will be just as it is in D2.

I'm..... I'm sorry. Not to troll or flame, but how can you rate on skills you've never used?! There's so many little factors that don't show up on the tooltip! GJ on putting this together, but it honestly means nothing.

    This.

sorry bro. and your definitely no expert. your knowledge is mediocre at best :QQ:

your post is nice and pretty though

you guys arent taking into account that after lvl 8 your losing XP in the beta from 8-13 because your out-leveling the mobs and havign to kill A LOT more mobs to gain the same amount of xp as you would with less mobs of the same/greater level which will be the case when going through the real game. also i plan to stack full XP gear and dmg rings/ammy/doll all the way through nightmare to make the game and leveling go as fast as possible. so 1-45~ should be able to be accomplished with 1 full day of marathoning. ~18 hours. we will find out wednesday morning when i post my first day results

Then sell them or melt them down for components, some of us like finding cool stuff while leveling up, and us hardcore guys die anyways, so we can always use the lower level legendaries we find.

I'm thinking we'll be doing close to 70-80k damage by the end of Inferno.

    Taken from here:

    Conclusion:
So we are looking at 152k+ total Damage per second to get this achievement in Single player.

i like how you said that number will never be reached.. people will farm endlessly to create perfect or near perfect rolled items and the ranges are high but it took me all of a day to get perfect rolled maximum thorn dmg in the beta (yaya oMfG dont compare beta n00b). just sayin its not even close to impossible and someone dedicated to getting that number will come close in a short amount of time

Exsanguinating Tier 7 Stearl 2.8-3.0X% of L8TI%arget's YTuLife JNper Hit
will work against a 76M boss.
    2.2M health per hit? aight

That's an error in the guide. You don't steal 3% of the target life per hit but you get 3% of the damage done as life (known as lifesteal). http://www.d3inferno...th_Percent.html "[...]% of damage dealt is converted to life" - that's from the game files

here we go. now makes sense

they wont allow that to work on bosses. otherwise it would be absolutely essential for everyone to have it and if a full team of 4 had that it means the boss of the game with 430% life (328 MILLION) would die in a matter of seconds.
wishedhehadbeta and his always flawed logic. 2 weeks, right?

not allowing the end-game boss of an insanely hard difficulty being able to be killed in seconds is flawed logic?

    pick your 4 favorite skills

those last 2 spots? nothing is better than pets. you already have your best damage spells, and pets do *some* damage, so already they have a dps advantage over everything else that would be doing nothing most of the time. pets are 'always on' defense. no other spell matches that.

no matter what 4 spells you pick or what passives you choose, those 2 spots are for pets if you want the better build. i might play a petless WD at some point just for the fun of it, but i'm going to do so understanding it's significantly worse.

this this this and this again
