You're responding to a retard with a superiority complex... I just gave up in time.Quote from "Michoco" »hey "unclean" guy, what's your point? D3 sucks because the guys you met ten years ago are not in the team anymore, that's it? Anybody can be replaced. How would you know these guys from the past would do better? I am curious what they'd say about the game as it is now by the way.
and what you say being the essence of the game is only your opinion, which you should formulate in a more humble way since you are not dev but just a fan like any of us. -

You DO know that 'MMO' does not mean free mouselook and WASD movement? There's several MMOs with isometric perspective and point&click interface. Maybe it wouldn't be an MMORPG, maybe something like MMOH&S?Quote from "Ritual" »But to conclude it actually would take away the whole diablo-feeling completely. The angle plays a huge part like many other things which would be destroyed in an MMO. -

For the sake of being objective, he is talking about Diablo 2 as the entire series apparently, and completely ignores the original game, and the fact that D3 is much closer to D1 than D2 was, so saying "original diablo team" has more sense in the context of meaning "original diablo team that made D2" but if it's not, then it's just the lowest level of rethorics a negative forum sob who's only purpose is to spread hatred and negativity can resort to.Quote from "permaximum" »He said "original diablo".NOT diablo 2.There is no one from the team who made "original diablo" in new team You should read carefully and be objective son.
I'll hold you to that word. But it better not be just false promises.Quote from "permaximum" »I can see clearly now.The next diablo game (after so called DIII) will be MMORPG and be called "World of Sanctuary"
Copy today's date and my words to your notebook....
Yes, he meant that there won't be anymore runewords but whoever transcribed the interview made a typo. Actually most fans rejoice hearing that they are removing the most cancerous element that destroyed D2.Quote from "carnage665" »Did he mean "runewords" en that they wont be showing up in D3???? 'Cause if they don't, that would absolutely SUCK!!! -

If only you knew what was the 'absolute essence' of the series.Quote from "Felthuzad_The_Unclean" »And I'm not if it means sacrificing the absolute essence of the series - randomness and the replayability it means.
It's already said that at least one third of Blizz North is in the new D3 team, including essential people such as the lore designer, lead programmer, lead animator, concept artist....Quote from "Felthuzad_The_Unclean" »- Not a single guy from the original "Diablo" Blizzard North team
Did you know that outside world in Diablo I was absolutely static every time you played? That's because it was a dungeon crawler. Diablo 3 is returning to the spirit of the series by putting the main accent on the actual dungeons, thus they will be completely randomized.Quote from "Felthuzad_The_Unclean" »- The exact same static world in every game
As for the outside worlds, they won't be entirely identical each time but you didn't care to read and understand what was said. Part's of the outside world will still be randomly cut out and replaced with different parts. Sounds better than majority of bland and pointless random squares in D2, where areas which weren't random boasted more detail and vibrance, like Travincal, 5th level of the Forgotten Tower, Andariel's lair, Mephisto's lair... etc. -

Sep 2, 2008Dimebog posted a message on Ten Ton Hammer - Jay Willson Video InterviewOne of the things I hated about D2 was the fact that it took you tons of time and resources to find some unique item, and then it turns out that it's stats are too low. I mean, aren't unique weapons supposed to be... unique? This was especially lame with +skill modifier randomization.Posted in: News
I'm glad to hear that boss battles will actually be battles rather than boring clickfests that require no skill. Just wonder how well they will be able to pull it off. -

It's a different dungeon and it's wowish purple, not brown.Quote from "Mackan" »Hmm.. what's up with those screenshots, back to brown again...? -
Aug 28, 2008Dimebog posted a message on BlizzCast 5 Live - Diablo 3 Q&AFrom the moment they announced D3, I never saw a single similarity between WoW and D3. But the new dungeon really does remind me of something that came out from WoW. I hope it's some experiment or something like that.Posted in: News

I see no pics of previously green fields. Care to link?Quote from "Makenshi" »Link to these new screens? I scrolled the interview transcript and saw no pics of the (previously) green fields...
All I see is are two screenshots of a new dungeon. -

You're a puppet.Quote from "permaximum" »From the screens it's obvious that the game's look will change a lot until gold version.Especially after the new art director comes.(i don't think blizz is lookin for a puppet to fill this role) -
Aug 27, 2008Dimebog posted a message on BlizzCast 5 Live - Diablo 3 Q&AUhhhh - they removed the green? What? This is a new dungeon duh. Or at least they implemented randomized dungeon tints like in D1 which would rock.Posted in: News
But now that I look at this.... The purple dungeon does kinda remind me of several dungeons I've seen in WoW. o.O
There was never a green dungeon in WoW quite like the one shown in the first trailer.
I hope they know what they're doing... -

Well you can't deny that D3 looks and feels perfect. It's just that it's so convenient to channel your internet rage through topics such as this. First everyone hated D2 when it came out, then everyone hated WoW when it got out, now everyone hates D3..... Nothing changes except the fact that they are and will remain legendary games. It's just the matter of what comes next to complain about, right?Quote from "VegasRage" »I'll say it again, there are a bunch of people here who are an informercials best friend. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I dare you to disprove anything I stated as baseless. If you disagree, it only speaks to your ignorance. So then rather keep it to yourself.

No. First of all, not every professional project needs a deadline, and Blizzard most certainly does not need motivation to finish a project. Amateurs need motivation to finish projects, not Blizzard. Second of all, deadlines are set because of financial reasons. Blizzard does not have any financial concerns in the big picture. Creative teams handle their own pace and there is never a deadline (not with Blizzard).
They will take all the time in the world if necessary.

However I don't see it as a lame reference to Christianity. I just see it as a reference to popular culture. In the same way the movie Se7en operates on an arbitrary pattern that is indirectly related to an aspect of society.
It says "Gluttony Incarnate" as the mob description. It doesn't mean that the game will follow the whole pattern. Maybe just that one monster happens to be described that way by Sanctuary's denizens or something of that sort. That's how I would describe the monster seeing it for the first time, if I had a creative mind of a writer (Abd al-Hazir)?

It just doesn't fit.

Character customization refers to building your characters skills and stats via gear and such. And skill runes, and Tellersmens.

Also this whole discussion is kinda pointless since they confirmed that the only features you can pay for is to have your name changed, or your character moved to another realm and similar.

They finished and demonstrated a tiny fraction of the game, and people were like "OMG ITS COMING OUT THIS YEAR". People act like this is the first Blizzard game they are waiting to get out and have never before witnessed how Blizzard works.

I especially like the part where you don't have to spend 20 skill points into it to somehow make use of it, and can instead put points into other things.

And the "WoW talent tree was copied from D2 skill system" is a biggest bull ever. Like 'trees' didn't already exist in other games. And once again, you don't learn skills from the talent trees. Only one or two skills (and you only gain Rank 1 of that ability and then continue to learn it from a trainer).
