I don't remember any Blizz game every easy. Yes, that include the warcraft games!!
WC3 was kind of easy. On normal difficulty it was piss easy. Could finish two campaigns in a day.

just hoping the co-op experience will be challenging, as Jay Wilson also stated " you can basically use the same spell throughout the whole game until nightmare or so"
    You SO made that up.

Yes, because we all know the inner workings of blizzard so well.... I myself would be more careful with my posts to make sure they are opinions and not declarations. Not trying to be a Dbag sorry.
Inner workings? Opinions? Anyone who has been around a little since before they announced D3 has learned exactly how Blizzard rolls so far. History confirms what I say, as well as various interviews where Blizzard's philosophy is related by various employees, developers or the CEO.

I dare you to disprove anything I stated as baseless. If you disagree, it only speaks to your ignorance. So then rather keep it to yourself.

Near the end of next year seems pretty reasonable, no doubt Blizzard will scramble to try to release it before Christmas, they would stand to make even more money.
Are you for real? Since when does Blizzard rush their releases to make money? They will work on something for ten years and then scrape it rather than release it if it does not meet the standard. They have a reputation to maintain, and they'd rather lose some money by not releasing something earlier than release something that wasn't ready for release.

    Quote from "Osegrim" »
Good chance they've set it to be 'finished' somewhere mid next year, but more using it as a pressing deadline (every professional project needs a deadline, it motivates to get it finished) and not an actual release date.
No. First of all, not every professional project needs a deadline, and Blizzard most certainly does not need motivation to finish a project. Amateurs need motivation to finish projects, not Blizzard. Second of all, deadlines are set because of financial reasons. Blizzard does not have any financial concerns in the big picture. Creative teams handle their own pace and there is never a deadline (not with Blizzard).

They will take all the time in the world if necessary.

DNF has not been canceled and 3DR has not disbanded. And they are continuing work on the game as soon as the whole lawsuit thing is over.

I hope 2011. Can't wait 'til 2012. Not to mention the whole end of the world thing.

posted a message on 7 deadly sins, enemies for each ?
    Quote from "Siaynoq" »
I just think the theme of the seven deadly sins is distracting from the combined number of lesser and greater evils in the Diablo universe. It's just overkill. And it doesn't feel Diablo. The makers of Diablo were cooler to just come up with their own terms and not just cop out on the seven stupid deadly sins. Seriously, what is wrong with lust anyway?
I don't mind as long as those seven mini-bosses were just a drop in the bucket of bosses that we encounter in D3. Just some spice on top of the bowl of spaghetti that is the plethora of new bosses. Just a... Well, I doubt there will be that many bosses, and I do agree that this idea will be lame if most of the focus turns out in that direction.

However I don't see it as a lame reference to Christianity. I just see it as a reference to popular culture. In the same way the movie Se7en operates on an arbitrary pattern that is indirectly related to an aspect of society.

It says "Gluttony Incarnate" as the mob description. It doesn't mean that the game will follow the whole pattern. Maybe just that one monster happens to be described that way by Sanctuary's denizens or something of that sort. That's how I would describe the monster seeing it for the first time, if I had a creative mind of a writer (Abd al-Hazir)?

I seriously can't imagine any type of 'heavenly' setting fitting into a Diablo game.

    It just doesn't fit.

You didn't even play the game (not yet finished) and you say it failed. Well you just failed.

posted a message on D3 Classes
    Quote from "zurayth" »
Yeah, not quite sure what they mean "character-customization options for the ultimate action-RPG experience". Hopefully that means we get basic customistion options, even something like that in WoW. Differnt hear and features so not every class looks like an exact clone with different armour.
What are you talking about? You won't be able to change your hair or face. Characters just look the way they do. That's who they are.

Character customization refers to building your characters skills and stats via gear and such. And skill runes, and Tellersmens.

posted a message on Battle.net should have premium features?
    Quote from "WhirlWhindBaba" »
well how about your game is always listed on top till full.
Well, how about you stop assuming that the new b.net will have the exact same shitty interface as the old one where the game name appears, and then is plunged down in a couple of seconds never to be found again? What if games are categorized by function and name instead of time created, and you navigate them using a quick search?

Also this whole discussion is kinda pointless since they confirmed that the only features you can pay for is to have your name changed, or your character moved to another realm and similar.

What else did you think? Assuming that it would get out anytime before 2011 is and was wishful thinking.

They finished and demonstrated a tiny fraction of the game, and people were like "OMG ITS COMING OUT THIS YEAR". People act like this is the first Blizzard game they are waiting to get out and have never before witnessed how Blizzard works.

posted a message on Synergies? Read please.
Instead of putting points into useless lowbie skills for absolutely no reason, you put some points in a passive skill that is located on a certain tier and which counts towards unlocking the next tier. Sounds really good to me and gives Blizzard great balancing options.

I especially like the part where you don't have to spend 20 skill points into it to somehow make use of it, and can instead put points into other things.

You are talking nonsense again. D2 has entire trees made up of passives. WoW didn't invent that. D3 is just going to have passives that also affect your abilities in a similar fashion synergies used to do, and not just affect things like mana cost, health, armour bonus, etc...

And the "WoW talent tree was copied from D2 skill system" is a biggest bull ever. Like 'trees' didn't already exist in other games. And once again, you don't learn skills from the talent trees. Only one or two skills (and you only gain Rank 1 of that ability and then continue to learn it from a trainer).
