Yes, because that might not be the fastest way, obviously. In fact, I fail to see your problem. I would understand your logic if there was indeed no competition and conquests implemented in the game. Blizzard implemented a race, people want to race, you have a problem with it. What is it?Quote from Pietrak

Why don't you at least run it at 800x600? No real good reason against it. You only have to have LoD installed, you do not have to actually play LoD to have that option.Quote from tyrael468i have a 1920 * 1080 screen, in game i have resolution 640 * 480 and it looks fine. It's true that it's old but i would like to play with at least 3 other people and relive the quests, because it's a really good game
If you use the latest official patch from Blizzard, you can maximize the game window so that it retains its 4:3 proportions and the game looks pretty fine on widescreen monitors. If you are playing a pirated copy you may as well use one of those hacks that allows for higher resolutions.
I would not be interested in playing a pirated version through game ranger or what have you since the official servers are still live and well.
May 9, 2014I would stick with AW because of the cold skill damage. The cold elemental enchant on it helps a bit in the fact that you will freeze enemies slightly more often which is helpful if you use Cold Blooded passive. On top of that it has much more DPS. You could perhaps fix the damage on TF somewhat by rerolling the elemental enchant to get a higher roll, but I would honestly rather reroll the area damage if it came to that. I don't mind something like vitality on a weapon as it can give you a huge toughness boost.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
All things considered, Azurewrath is a better option if not for pure DPS, then because it fits your "cold wizard" theme better and gives you more crowd control and by extension more dps (Cold Blooded). The rolls on it are also far superior in this particular case.

You don't have 73% cold damage - it increases your cold SKILL damage. Elemental weapon damage is not a skill.Quote from Joemommathat's the way I'm leaning. that's why I was wondering if I should roll of the electric damage for cold. I currently have 73% cold damage though too. I am starting to think that rolling the damage might be bad and just leave it as it is incase I need the TF for a non cold build
Mar 23, 2014Dimebog posted a message on It really is time for Blizzard to stop being lazy.Even if all zones had "equal" density, there will ALWAYS be one or two zones that everyone farms if nothing, then because of the shape and layout, frequency of chest spawns, etc. So what is the point in making everything blandly the same and overcrowded.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I thought they would.Quote from Koksii
Nobody thought that they would remove the auction house and then suddenly BAM.
Considering that the game has improved by a tenfold with the introduction of BoA, I don't see why they would ever consider reverting back.

Any amount of legendarys per hour you can get while speedrunning diablo you can get anywhere else, minus the 1 guaranteed legendary every finished run. Kill stuff without slowing down is not really an argument here, since every run involving farming monsters will profit from thatQuote from Kryztalsong
I don't know about it never being as efficient. Speedrunning is what I've been doing for the past week, and each clear of the story nets me minimum 4 legendaries, average of 5, and as many as 8. Each clear takes 90-120 minutes. I kill all elites and goblins I run across along the way and open chests very close to my path. Do Core runs, or any other runs for that matter, net a legendary every 20 minutes or less? And speedrunning isn't just skipping monsters; it's more about finding ways to kill them without stopping or slowing down. Some of these new legendaries are amazing for that, procs that damage when you get hit, such as Pox Faulds or Thundervigor.
And this is not even counting the fact, that while most areas are somewhat decently populated currently, there are still areas that offer a lot more chances of legendaries (aka packs, white chests, goblins) than others. If you run specifically those areas, you WILL get more legendarys compared to quest runs.
Mar 6, 2014I completely agree with the OP on one hand, on the other - I can't help but think that D2 would be really shit without the social element that was forced upon people if you wanted to do say, Baal runs in /player 8.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I wouldn't change monster HP scaling but rather tone down Strength in Numbers or make it just give you one stack for the 2nd player and that's it.
Alternatively, I would increase the legendary drop rate for killing bosses in a solo game so that EXP farming is more efficient coop but MFing can viably be done solo or something to that effect (like D2). But Blizzard is not really fond of the concept of boss farming unfortunately.
Feb 28, 2014And once you rise to said challenge, you are obviously wasting time in that difficulty and should move on to the next. Isn't the point of the difficulty system to be able to determine how much challenge you want? What is the point of only a single element not being equally challenging as the rest?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I can assure you that if you can get 100 kills as a barbarian you should not be in that difficulty, hence defeating the point of being able to do it.
Feb 28, 2014daisychopper: the point is that if you are geared/specced well enough to complete the event solo in a given difficulty, why would you even play that difficulty and not the next one since the rest of the content is obviously going to be beyond faceroll? Now I still don't know if that's even true (I don't even think all classes have an option to spec optimally for this) but I'm just trying to make you see the point of the OP which you are completely missing.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Feb 13, 2014Let me get my crystal ball:Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I think Blizzard is planning to have 9 character classes, 8 acts and a maximum level cap of 100. The remaining character classes will probably be a Ranged Strength, Melee Intellect and Mid-range Dexterity since all other combinations have been done and I heard Blizzard classifying current classes through such archetypes.
Wouldn't be surprised if two of those classes were some kind of Spearzon spinoff and Necromancer.
I also foresee they will realize how dull the current Paragon Point system is and replace that with a proper passive skill tree that gives powerful legendary-like bonuses to the character every 100 paragon levels or so.
Feb 6, 2014I guess most of the incentive (beside the party buff), as you said, comes from the fact that trading can only occur then and there during coop sessions.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The removal of NV stacks should actually help coop if anything, I really don't see your point there.

Of course it's for accumulated play. Just common sense - Blizzard doesn't expect the typical player to actually spend 8 hours in a session. Basically what Travis said is that what you just described is either a lie or a bug since it should not be possible to go on for 8 hours without finding a legendary.
Why so paranoid, everyone? How can you misinterpret or put a twist on everything when it was put out so plainly?
Jan 23, 2014Posted in: News
So what I got from Travis Day:
- The drop rates will potentially be doubled (if it turns out they're at 50% of what is intended)
- There is a hidden Legendary Find stat that increases over time so it should be impossible to play for 8 hours without finding a leg
- The intention is that experienced players get a legendary per 2 hours on average
- Split farming will be addressed in the next patch
- Rifts are intended to be the most rewarding thing in the game and this will be addressed in the next patch
So what in the holy fucks is everyone still complaining about?

Ivgorod doesn't sound Asian to me, it's more Slavic or something like that!
It's been said by Blizzard that the monk is basically based on the orthodox archetype of a monk mixed with the Asian doctrine. A Slavic dude/girl who went to the East to school himself (herself).

Oct 11, 2009Dimebog posted a message on Diablo III Side Quests- Will the Myriad be Worth It?Posted in: News
Doing chores can be a bit more fun than pointlessly killing monsters in some area until your eyes pop out to grind exp. The thing is, when you level up, you will be killing monsters anyway, so why not do the "chores" along the way which are always closely tied to killing those monsters anyway? At least that way they drive you to go to different places, explore and diversify what you are killing, and also develop the story. So I really don't see your point. But I guess you don't like the fact that not all of the thousands of quests there are each telling a separate story and providing a journey of epic proportions.Quote from "SFJake" »The only thing I want here is side quests to be fun, not chores. WoW is a perfect examples of what chores are.
But they have pretty much explained that random quests in D3 will be the same as random quests in D1 were, with the difference being that you obtain the quests on field as well as towns, and the fact that you can now actually fail doing a quest because there will be some challenge involved.

EDIT: Oh and by the way. They said that the monk is basically an orthodox monk who went to train and school himself somewhere in the east. And there actually ARE female monks in the orthodox traditions, they are just called a different name for which there is not an equivalent in the English language.
