"It took a good day of calls and emails, but Blizzard just got back to us about the rumor floating around that Starcraft 2 will be announced next month during their World Wide Invitation in Seoul, South Korea.
According to a Korean website, StarCraft 2 is being developed in 3D with a new race and lots of changes for existing units. The site went on to say that additional details would be revealed during Blizzard's WWI on May 19th in Seoul.
When reached for comment today this was Blizzard's official response:
We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more. Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present.
So that's a yes on a StarCraft 2, eventually, and a yes to a product announcement next month. The only question now is are they one in the same. " -Brian Crecente, from Kotaku.
So what do you guys think? A lot of people still believe it's gonna be Starcraft (which would be fine too because, honestly, who wouldn't love to see that game revisited just as much as Diablo?) but after a statement like that, I'm thinking it's gonna either be an announcement for Diablo 3 or a completely new Blizzard title. If it's not a Diablo or Starcraft game, I'm putting my money on TacoCraft.
Alright, let the speculation begin! May 19th simply cannot come soon enough.
im with you on tacocraft. people could learn alot about managing the insides of a taco.....
about the whole thing, SC2 is an obvious money maker so blizzard was still going to revisit it. diablo 3 though, they havent said anything about. hopefully this is it, because either SC and diablo fans have been waiting a long time for a continuation. id willingly give away WoW for a Diablo 3, and would be curious about a SC2.
As cool as a new SC would be I hope for D3 way more, especially since CoH is so incredibly awesome and I'd hate to see it have to compete w/ Blizzard. In any case, based on everything we've heard for all these years it's almost definitely D3.
If someone invents a method of time travel, please post on this forum so May 19 comes sooner ^_^_^_^_^_^
This can leave close to no doubt. We're talking about Korea here, the nation that airs Starcraft matches on TV. If Starcraft 2 is not the game announced at the worldwide invitational, I will be very surpised.
Right now I just hope another product announcement will come at Blizzcon too.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

((Am I the only one who sees that))
Anyways.. obviously...
Blizzard has 3 major Series,,,,
Wow (Has just been released)....
Star Craft,,,, (has just been stated about future release.)
Logicaly, according to this statement if it is Valid a Diablo Release, or as Mentioned a New Series.
Diablo - Gaurenteed Millions despite review...
New Series - Chance..
that was the point i was about to make, but you never know with blizzard. they just might be playing with our heads, since they dont like to let on to what they are doing. however i beleive your right, and im hoping we're right. if it is Diablo 3, May 19 will be a day of celebration as well as drinking.

2-3 months? considering ive been at this site for over a year, and have been a loyal fan of the diablo series since '96 thats a laugh.
im almost %100 sure it wont be WoW. too long they have concentrated on WoW and i think even they see that.
It seems like WC fans have plenty to chew on for awhile. That would be way too audacious of Blizzard to announce another WC project at this time.
The time is so ripe for Diablo. I'm putting my money on it.
8 WC games compared to 2 SC and 3 Diablo games, these two series are well overdue for another game.
