Two handed sword all day. Even if it's not as competent as dual wielding, I just love the feeling of a massive 2H sword.

so many options :S; ill probably go for a shield but mh i dont really know, i like how spear looks with a shield though.
As for 2h i would choose a daibo.

Whichever is better at any given moment. I've been both during my MMO times, have a slight style preferance for dual wield, but I absolutely don't like it's current implementation. The offhand looks so pointless if every attack(edit: not sure, see below) uses the mainhand for damage calcs. Don't care if the animation looks different because it has +2-4 fire damage instead of cold. It's just a stat carrier item, like necro heads, pala relics, whatever(mixing games a little) and that's disappointing. Even in AD&D, offhands would swing for their own damage every once in a while(like a 4:1 ratio in Baldur's Gate 2). In WoW, they really mattered, to the point of being more important than the main weapon(for speed reasons).
As of now, from what I've seen in the beta, 2h looks much better, especially if you can boost it with a quiver(well, for DHs).
I know dual wielding increases attack speed by 15% but I was under the impression that you alternated between MH and OH, at least for the rage gen skill. Granted your rage spenders will hit for less but you should be able to generate rage faster and use more of them to compansate.
Went and tested, fury, cleave and hammer of ancients all alternate between weapons. Would see no reason that the other skills wouldn't as well.
Oh, I think, there was a blue post stating sth like every attack uses your "onehand"-slot. But you're right, ingame I can produce very different damage numbers between a 15.6 and a 6.3 dps weapon dual wiedling both at once. edit: too tired, I believe you for now and think about it tomorrow
Seems to be better than I thought it was.

I like the idea of dual wielding daggers as it brings to mind the image of an angry blender. Spear and shield is also appealing. The power-gamer in me vies for the sure-to-be-abusively-good mighty weapons. (also, scythes are cool).
2hed axes and maces are always fun. I've used that craftable 2hed sword in the beta, and while i'm usually a sword fan, it doesn't particularly thrill me. I hope that there is a mighty 2h weapon that is basically a tree trunk.
What will really decide what weapons i'll use is 1- neat/unique procs/characteristics on a weapon, tied for 3rd- power/looks.
Looks like I'm in the extreme minority using 2H Swords.

Barbarian Weapon Survey
When I ask you this question - I don't mean from 1-60. I mean what type of weapons will you build your character around?
IE: A dagger Barb is slightly faster at swinging than a Sword Barb - but both get +10% damage if they take the same passive.
Examples like that would be nice.

I would appreciate it if you would answer honestly...and...pick a category. I will be adding another option to the first poll here in a second.
I think it'll be interesting to see what kind of results we get ;).
I will add one on the first question!
2-h Swords will work fine, I'm sure!
Edit: I fixed the poll options. I forgot that you needed to answer every question on the ballot.
Always an acceptable answer. =)
I'm personally looking forward to using daggers.

Daibo is Monk only...This is a Barb topic >_>

edit: This is the blue post I meant: http://www.diablofans.com/blizz-tracker/topic/219255-main-hand-damage/
He says, the offhand swings on it's own but uses the mainhand multiplicator. Whatever that may mean.

He said most.
