I see know your logic behind essence burn. Seems the rune isn't that great FIW well will offer a great debuff for bosses and overall help will the explosion effect so I think I'll go with that.
My reasoning for such defensive runes was consideration of the fact I'm the only melee in my group, so I'll be taking massive damage.
I agree with those that said it lacks mobility. But I cant see how I could pack anything else into this build without hurting its core function. Any suggestions? I do like dashing strike with the runed dodge. Hmmm.

Flesh is weak was my second choice. The description of essence burn leads me to believe that during that 60% damage over 3 seconds all targets afflicted will explode if killed during that time. Is that not the case?
a combination of this after effect with SSS would result in massive AOE.
If not I can definitely see myself taking your advice and going with FIW as it will pretty much help guarantee trigger the after effect.
So this build i plan to use along with a party consisting of a WD and DH. I feel it offers a good amount of survival along with some decent single target and aoe attacks.
lol owned. On topic though you cant possibly expect a barb to play like wizard, or any other class. So why expect that from the monk? I suspect the monk will be played defensively for maximum effectiveness. To not take breath of heaven in pvp is foolish.
I see alot of people complaining about the graphics. But even on youtube videos they dont look that bad. Diablo has never been the go to game for graphics anyways

What's the point in doing hard content otherwise? Sure the rates may be slightly better, but you aren't rewarded with better gear for being able to kill the hardest parts of the game.
Because harder = more fun. Also you aren't gonna be able to do those hardest parts of the game until you farm the end of Hell for gear, most likely. Maybe once you're actually able to get through Act IV of Inferno you won't want to go back to Act I or II, or Act IV of Hell.
Even if the drop rate of X item is 0.00001% in Act IV of Hell and 0.001% in Act IV of Inferno (like overneathe said), that's still a 100 times better drop chance in Inferno. So unless you can run Act IV of Hell 100 times before I do Act IV of Inferno once, you get better odds doing Inferno.
^This. I just hope the drop rates improve in the later acts of inferno or else I see no reason in putting yourself through that.

the character select screens demo video for the barb show the female throwing a weapon vertically which looks much sleeker/badass.
yeah I guess its not such a big deal but will look alot smoother when spamming the move.
anyone have any info on this?
