Post about it on battle.net. People are already complaining, and Blizzard even changed the scavenger page so that the orginal artwork is only showed at the bottom of the page. They must know that model is ridiculous compaired to the powerful concept art.

D3 Pros: Outdoors environment, night time environment, female Barbarian, rune spell system, the Wizard class
D3 Cons: Fantasy architecture, fantasy armor, fanstasy weapons, no shaders.
Man, who ever is doing the 3d models for the monsters needs to be fired. I know next to nothing about creating monsters in a game, but That thing they call a scavenger looks nothing like the artwork.
Artwork scavenger = dark, scary, ferocious.
In game scavenger = fluffy, colorful, happy, kind of like a teddy bear.
:(
You can totally tell that you're a little petition boy.
Stop your whining and get some perspective. I don't expect you to, though - try to surprise me.
If by doing something you mean making them post that screenshot... Even though there has been a lot of talking about the graphics I doubt it will change anything. It doesn't take a genius to know that Diablo is supposed to be dark, creepy and gothic. The game is obviously a lot darker that what we have seen so far and there's no good reason to show us the best of it a year before the release.
*sigh*... Every time I use the word 'art' someone have to oppose what I say! It's like saying 'f*g' in a gay forum! Gosh... that's the last time I refer to that subject ever again... and yes, by something I mean showing that screen shot as well. Plus I completely agree with what you say, there's alot more than 'night time' to come.
Nice story though, very imaginative killing of thrasher.
I hope you didn't mean this, really.

So, no one still notices or wants to talk about the dead corpse at the top?
To me really looks like one of those already seen hirelings or whatever their name is.
The woman in the dark picture is the new class: the witch nurse!:D
Seriously...
About her skin color I think it's just the lighting caused by the lantern and the fire.
I'm sure going to play a female WD when the game come out!
Re: Diablo 3 Update On Thursday, Oct. 2
As annoying as they are, I kinda hope it one of those sand/cave leapers. It would be fun to more thoroughly smash them. They did scream a lot and coud be fit inot a small cage, so maybe..."
sure the in game scavenger doesn't look as cool as the concept, but fluffy? colorful? are you tripping on acid or something?
they're just petition boys looking for a reason to whine. They look more like hyenas of a little smaller size than in reality. I liked the story they came up with to introduce them and also the new ability they learned. I sure missed them from Diablo 1 and i hope they wont be so easily knocked back as the leapers in Diablo 2, i hated having to find them after the first few hits...

Ther remind of of wolverines personally. You know, those furry things that you dont wanna pet. With a richer color coat.
Its a legitimate claim. No acid needed.
I wish they resembled theyre original icky emancipated origins, but oh well. At least they dont seem to glow in the dark.
If you zoom up on the screenshots you can see the scavengers have little spikes along their spines and arms. I think if they made these big enough to be seen clearly it would help alot in improving the look of the scavengers.
You sure those are not frogs in the screen shot ? What if they were black horned 7 feet tall demons with pick axes, now that would look addicting to kill.
no hard feeling but they look kinda lame in the gameplay pictures.. specially with that lil brown line across their back. i know its the hair but it looks too....... too...................

Better a "petition boy" looking for things to "whine" about in order to get them improved and fixed, than a blind fan boy sucking at every bit of trash that is thrown at them.
If you do not think that there is a huge discrepancy btw artwork and in game pic of the scavenger then I suggest that you go get your eyes fixed.
Seriously, "Fanboys" are killing whatever good part that is left of the video game industry with their praise for every single piece of crap that is vomited out by developers.
This isn't a petition debate thread to attack each other for personal views. It's a topic on the new creature. If you like it say what you like about it, if you don't say you don't. Let's not run off into the petition/art debate arguments.

Why were Half-life 1 head crabs announced so fervently?
This is why I don't look at the News section...

Well, pretty close at least. I didn't predict the burrowing part. I love the dark screenshots and the concept art is amazing.
I didn't know the new followers had a spike as their hand...
