Soloing in WoW is easy, Elfen. You got things mixed up I soloed to level 40 in two weeks. No problems Then again, Horde is harder than Alliance, but still, I don't think it's too hard to not be able to solo.

There are mitigating factors to that, such as class, personal experience. I am still a WOW naive (newbie for those of you not familiar with old english)
The majority of my characters are warriors. Warriors that can't handle two on ones to save their life. You try lure them out one at a time and the guy way in the distance he can't see you at all because he is behind a solid, non transparent wall comes running.
And crappy items doesn't help. My Warlock does alright, but she is a spellcaster, she doesn't have to get up close, and she has a minion. My warriors are truly soloing.

Horde isnt harder than alliance. Both have all the classes now so pve is pretty much equal, it just depends on what server and server type. if its a pvp server like mine then its boring(just mine not others) cuz in mine horde out number alli 3 to 1 and world pvp is stupid cuz of it. its all relative, theres no set faction thts better or everyone would know about it and convert

Well that and the fact that after a point, the game because virtually impossible to solo. What if none of my friends are online and random people on the net are being jackasses and belittling me instead of helping me quest and level? You basically either have to sit on your ass and wait for your firends to come online, or solo, or not play the game.
That seems to be because of the PvP nature of your server. PvE lets you take alll the time in the world

Well, the game isn't perfect. Seems to me like you need to let go of reality and embrace the game mechanics
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Depends on the warrior spec, really. When i first leveled mine i too had problems with multiple mobs. As i got to know the abilities and started using my big slow sword things got easier, though. got to a mazimum of 6 at a time (with the special 30 minute ability, though).
I think Phrozen is pretty correct about why people play WoW so much. Their lives are broken. It's quite understandable - people pressure you all day and make fun of you, why not play WoW where you can be what you want yourself to be? That's a very strong aspect that attracted people to such games. Considering how much crap life has to offer to some people...
It surprises me, tho, I don't consider myself a very involved person, but I don't get sucked into games... my schoolwork always comes first.
schoolwork can be just as big an escape as games, well for some people anyways. i know plenty of people who neglect other aspects of life because they HAVE to make the honor roll, HAVE to get top scores. O well, to each his own,
ps
i know doing school work is alot more productive than wow,
BUT ZOMG HOW CAN YOU WALK AROUND IN BLUES.
i would probably be happier with dual wielding warglaives than excelling in classes <if i still was in school>
Well i love to play the game anyway, and i don't neglect my homework im a WoW addict and i still make honor roll not because i "have to" but because its really easy right now cuz this is my last year and it's almost over. but yea i finish my homework if i have it before i start playing because i know if i start playing im not getting off.

My definition of being addicted is making time for something instead of finding time for it. As soon as you it this stage in your addiction, then it's time to cool it. In my opinion, an addiction as different stages.
Stage1:You start off with good intentions and you're just looking to have a good time.
Stage2:You start to like what your doing and you take a special interest to it.
Stage3:You start making time for the game instead of finding time for it.
Stage4:You start feeling down and can't wait to finish what your doing to get back to the activity you're addicted to.
Stage5:This kid. He feels obligated to feed his addiction without rest.
Stage6:That chinese kid. Develops a mental hilnest, because of the addiction.
I'm in the beginning stages of being addicted. I can't stop thinking about the game in school and I'm always planning out what I'm going to do in the game, while I do other stuff.
Sorry if my answer isn't clear and I have lots of errors. I'm in school right now and everyone talking, I can't really consentrate and I'm not trying to get caught on here.
And to answer the real question. This is the problem with WOW. When a game is so well made in one sense and so badly in another, it gives this effect to the user.

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.
You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.
I don't play WoW actually I’ve never even tried it. I refuse to play MMOs because they take to much time out of ones life. I do have many friends how play them and I just can’t see how they do it. Maybe they just smoke to much pot to care or something.

I have to agree with that. A lot of stuff in MMO's just simply take way too much time for an average person to keep up with others.
Bloody enemies running away when you beat them down too hard but don't quite kill them because your not that uber yet, and they how they always run off to get some mates t ocome whomp your ass. But worst of all is when it's a totally different species or race. Seriously, had a Venture Co. goblin run away and come back with a bloody Raptor and a Hyena thing. What the hell is up with that!!!
Oh and the really crappy item drops. man, where are the good items.
URGH and those stupid kill so many monsters and collect a part of them. You only have to kill 5 to get say a feather, I'm killed birds like 20 of them to get 5 damn feathers, shouldn't they all have feathers?
I don't get that. And it's worse if it's something like a haeart, intestine, claw, horn, tooth, or anything else that the creature would either have abundance of regardless of level or some vital organ it would die without.

yea i agree with u on that the drop rate on some quest items suck and yes i don't get how a crappy monster can have a epic item but thats the same problem with the Diablo games how could one of the quell fiends have a blue or green sword with no hands...the answer is how else are we going to get items.

That shouldn't happen, I've often killed enemies near other mobs they are not allied with, and they didn't run to their aid.
Might be an addition only to TBC though, don't know for sure. it might be that I only tested this in Outland.

I hate World of Warcraft. I personally think it's a disgrace to the Warcraft series.
You're useless. You have to explain WHY you feel that way. This comment = spam.
While I was in college a few years back I went through like a 1 month splurge of WoW. I got to around level 35ish. I'll probably never understand why the game is so appealing to people. How can people play such horridly monotonous quests over and over again. Collect 10 blahs, kill blah in this area, kill 10 blahs, talk to blah. Then this repeats throughout most of the game. Then I hear people say, "It gets fun towards the end". Why should I have to wait until the end to have fun in a game. I just couldn't stick to WoW. It just didn't seem innovated enough for me. I do however, think it's a great addition to the Warcraft Lore. It took an RTS game and turned it into a very intriciate captivating world. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

It's happened more than once. They run off in the general direction of the nearest creature not on my side, but mostly they go get a "true" ally, another creature of the same type, level etc. But every now and again they pull these randoms monsters out of the woodwork.
Biggest problem I have is, it's not a single player game, just about every quest I find myself on seems targeted towards multiple players. Timezones kills my chances of playing with most of you guys and everyone I met online are jackasses. So I have to solo.
