Quote fromHave you all seen the post "Y'all best be trollin'"?? That guy completely destroys the patch, and Bashiok does agree with him. Its in the latest blue-tracker, i suggest y'all have a gander
Bashiok responds with "I hear ya". That's just his way of saying he acknowledges the opinion, not that he's in agreeance. I believe you misinterpreted it.
The patch definitely doesn't meet my expectations. I didn't even have that high of expectations. I was hoping for more balancing of the characters. Though, Respec'ing adds quite a bit of game play variety. Now you can splurge your points into low level skills instead of strategizing your skill tree for the later levels. The first 30 levels should be more interesting.
Still not enough changes to get me playing again.

That sounds like a blessing and a curse. You can eat the things I can only eat every couple of months due to the calories. I have to have alot of discipline to not gain weight. I also run 6-7 miles 5-6 days a week. It's all very frustrating. Though it sounds like your food bill for the month is huge.

Fair enough. I'm not really arguing against the visuals of the movie. In its time it was definitely amazing. The transitioning of the scenes was definitely a turn off to me. I always found it interesting, like with music, two people can listen to the same melody in the song, one person notices the guitar, the other notices the drums.
Another movie I remember hating was "Because I said so" starring Keaton and Mandy Moore.
And Eragon.

There are some movies I watched as a kid that don't measure out very well to today's movies, but I still love them!

It's been a few years since I've seen it. I can't back up my opinion with alot of excerpts from the movie. It was just a bad vague memory. I do remember it feeling extremely mess. I'm sure there was some over arching poetic-creative-abstract-deepness to the movie. I just thought it came across silly. I'm sure when it first came out it was visually impressive. You always came off like a pretty liberal-artsy kinda guy who is into that stuff.

Can I have her number? Both good looking people.

Day 11 is probably in my top 10. I love that song <3. That entire album is great.
Have you heard Guilt Machine's album? I love the singers voice.
I have so many favorite songs, it's hard to just pick a few. Here are some:
Sonata Arctica - White Pearl Black Ocean
Dave Matthews - Stay or Leave
Elvenking - From Blood to Stone
Imago - Pain of Salvation

Now you're taking your own comment out of context. You later added
Pwned yourself. Never seen that one before.
The quotes do not capture the entire critique of the individuals; however, the quotes weren't taking their impressions out of context. People prelude their critique with a general thesis. You know, their overall impressions.
I was just commenting that your post wasn't very insightful. Your categories inaccurately described the consensus of the forum. If you still disagree, ask yourself, "Who falls into group #2?".

Really? So.. basically... He drafted a story in 1994. Which was apparently the era where complex stories didn't exist. Cameron, by your logic, never once in the last 15 years made any kind of alteration to the script. That theory is where you base the foundation of your opinion? Your life must be fantastic.
If anything, I see very little divide on the movie. I’m such a loser I gathered everyone’s reviews below. Out of the 20 reviews listed in the thread. I only found two extremely unfavorable review by Musica and mephisto who did agree the visuals were “dazzling”, but thought everything else was ridiculous. While the other reviewer, Don, who recommended the movie while heavily criticizing plot holes and character development.
Looking at your categories here.
18 of 20 fall into the category of being favorable or extremely favorable.
2 fall into the category being unfavorable.
SO based on the statistics of this thread alone, 90% are favorable or extremely favorable. By telling someone the consensus of the thread falls into 3 really simple broad categories, is miscommunicating to them the real consensus on the movie. That's all I meant to say
Ivaron said – Great movie, I even liked the story.
Umpa said - Avatar is a testament to how far we have come in the field of visual arts. It is a true masterpiece and deserves a spot next to the Mona Lisa.
Archie said - withheld my opinion of the movie until I actually watched it. And you know what? This movie was actually really good!
SithDiablo said - this movie's 3D is lightyears better than previous works
IceBlade said -This movie was excellent, extremely well put together and I have no criticism for it whatsoever
ScyberDragon said - I sawthis movie today and all I'm going to say is that everyone should go see this movie
Mephisto said - So I watched it. This is what the fuss was all about? It was seriously like watching a National Geographic documentary about some alien planet, but with some additives here and there.
Nyalite said - I'm sure its clear that I really enjoyed this film
YOU said - It is definitely my favourite movie of all time
Lestater said - I'd have to agree, the visuals and overall atmosphere it created is what blew me away and is probably what will make this movie memorable which isn't to say that that is a bad thing.
Musica said - I thought it was a pretty bad movie with only the visuals keeping me interested. They were definitely great although I don't think they were as dazzling as some people seem to think.
Don_Guillotine said – lots of… stuff. Recommended it but heavily criticized the plot holes and character development.
Moosh said - My opinion and a lot of other peoples opinion, is that this movie is unlike any movie that I have ever seen.
Daemaro said - He liked it.
Dawg said - I saw the movie a few days ago and I liked it
PhrozenDragon said - Damn. Damn this was good. I enjoyed this movie so much, and left the theater with this wondrous feeling. Because this movie took me to another world and made me believe I was there.
Junction3 said - As much as I did enjoy the movie and don't really agree with everyone who is/was bashing it, that is true and still is very funny.
Genesis said - I just saw this in 3D and I honestly don't think it would of been anywhere near as insane without it. It still would of looked visually stunning but 3D is a entire different league. I nearly jizzed my pants
As for storyline. It was fairly simple, but simple doesn't mean shit. There's a difference.
ME – I loved it.
Halfniak said - I saw Avatar this weekend and thought it took 3d modeling to a new level.
This, along with District 9 was my favourite movies of the last 3 years.

I'd say you're pretty far off on your categorizing there. I thought about elaborating on why I feel that, but there's too much wrong with those groups. It would seem awfully dramatic to write a page on it.
Who recommends a movie for the sake of getting an opinion? Wouldn't you be recommending the movie out of personal appeal?
It shares very little in common with Braveheart. You may need to rethink who you associate yourself with.
