hoodi3 and I have enjoyed D3 from the day of release and with RoS right around the corner, we have both decided that it is only necessary to attempt a world record with the game that has given us so many funny and great memories. The record stands in Genesis as "longest RPG marathon"(which was made on skyrim) we believe that this should be with the Diablo family. With a current recorded of 48 hours 18 min and 16 sec with out sleep (given) I have been sent a email regarding all rules and regulations that must be followed by Genesis.
This attempt is planned for a week or so after the RoS release and will be live on (DATE :TBD)
We need all the support we can get especially when that 40th hour hits Happy new year to all

I believe that someone who wants to break that record could get two achievements at once: 1) Guinness World Record and 2) Darwin Award.
Good luck on this, but I think it's wrong to support people on an unhealthy quest. Remember Alkaizer's interview after he hit paragon 100 - he was completely exhausted. There's a limit as to how much D3 one should play at any given day...
well going for about 50 hours without sleep i have done it a couple of times. not playing the same game monotony for all that time, sure it was when i was younger and my body could handle it better. now im pretty much a zombie after 36 hours.
Still Go for it by all means, just make sure to eat Good and balanced food, and drinking water, (no soda or other softdrinks it will just mess with your bodys balance), and take plenty of short breaks to stretch and just walk around go to toilet, prepair food ect. try do put in about 5 min of this activity every hour and you should be fine.
also dont be afraid to quit if you start feeling odd, no one is going to blame you but yourself some years down the line if something happens.

Do make sure to move around, don't sit still the whole time. While it's not likely, sitting down for that length of time could put you at risk for blood clots in your legs and that would not be good. I'll make sure to tune in to see how you guys are doing.
Also people did hugely long marathon sessions in WoW when a new patch came out back in the day. I dunno exactly how long, but somebody like Kripp might be able to shed some light on it.
Good please take all support and memory of this and UNISTALL
Joins diablo fans.
Is in a thread asking for support and viewers.
Gets support as people offer helpful advice.

I suspect you'll have a long and fruitful career here at Danfs. Good luck!

And good luck to you on your quest to keep your virginity intact! Again, nobody cares, please see manual for uninstall instructions.
Tbh, I and some of my friends have all done weekend-long lan parties without sleep and it's not that challenging... This is one of those "world records" where the actual accomplishment is so little that many could beat it they just don't care enough to actually record it... So ehm, gl I guess?
Sorry to be the party pooper on this, but this sounds like the most stupid of all Guinness World Records.
