Hey, what if when d3 comes out an its complete garbage, after years of waiting an hopeing for its release then you get a pile of crap game? what would you then do?
would you kill yourself?
ehe, just kiddin fellors, of course nobodys going to off themselves over this game but wouldnt that better pretty histarical if there were mass suicides cuz d3 sucks. ahaa
if d3 sucks bad when release what other games can we hope for? im hopeing for chucky the game right now. but thats not a sure deal since im not sure there even going to release it.
what game would you play if d3 sucks? guild wars 2 maybe? kotor online?
The games im waiting to try are d3 of course, gw2 an maybe kotor online.
Well as a massive diablo fan, I already know 100% no matter what Blizzard put out It will not be garbage ( just the storyline is 100x better then any other game) and the fact what they have shown is completely awesome, it's impossible for it to just turn around and be 'garbage'
We already know so much about this game, and they are constantly re-iterating to make it awesome for the fans and themselves (Which is why announcing it so early, and releasing information benefits the game in the long run)
It wont just come out and be garbage like 90% of the other games that keep there development close to there chest and miserably fail, blizzard is too smart for that.
Well obviously it's not going to suck. At the very least it will be good for a while. If I get sick of it I'll probably try out Kotor online or the Witcher games. I've got a few other games on standby but haven't had the time to finish them.
To reiterate what others have said, from what I've seen, the game just looks like it's gonna be good. I'm not going to come out and say that it's gonna be the best thing since beards, but I will still say that I highly anticipate this game and believe that, given the amount of time that Blizzard has put into it, that it will meet my expectations and, in more cases than once, help me achieve my ultimate destiny.
But no biggie.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
From the little clues we've got seems a good game and since I'm still soloplaying D2 LoD I think I won't be disappointed too much since at the very least it will be a novelty.
@Winged: I know your feelings, Spore gave me the feeling of huge unexpressed potential and left me with a bitter taste.
wow popo, thats really amazing, i had no idea about those pictures or that story, imo thats one more reason we can't compare duke nukem to diablo III. I have no doubts that 3DR saw that their game was a mess and still they kept going. (theres no way a company like 3DR didnt saw how bad their game was).
I could be wrong about this, but didnt blizzard dropped a couple projects already because they "sucked" ? I remember something about SC:Ghost and some others, anyway thats just some rumors, i dont remember for sure.
I just dont think blizzard would give us an awful game, they know what they're doing.
Not really hard to see why they were shut down..... The art direction was terrible and all the other employees were also terrible for not seeing how the art direction was terrible.
Wow...I dont like the belt looks worse than it did in D1 lol

If Diablo 3 doesn't live up to expectations then that wouldn't mean it would be a bad game, considering the expectations I've seen people placed on it. Probably would still be the best ARPG out there.
Anyhow IF Diablo 3 doesn't fit the gaming desires I like, or bombs horribly, then I would look towards Torchlight II or just go look at other stuff.
Still the magnitude of fail that Diablo 3 has to have to be a game I don't consider fun would be fairly difficult. Just going by what I've seen in the videos I've watched.
Yes, I agree.
But looking at the pic with the golden and the dark characters...well....that's Sheogorath palace and those are a golden saint and a dark seducer...at least to my eyes.
If Diablo sucks, I've looked at Guildwars 2 and it seemed intriguing, but I'm gonna wait for it to be out for a while before I decide to pick it up or avoid it. Definitely will grab Skyrim. That game looks amazing!
But I feel Diablo 3 will meet my expectations. Of which I only have 1 real one; that I can use whatever skill(s) I want and have a chance at beating the game. I will never forget my first druid in D2 in which I focused on fissure and Dire Wolves (I had 4-5 skills I was actually investing points in and that mainly only because of the synergy in the summons. This was before the widespread synergies)
and the character was literally unplayable in Hell. I felt cheated that If I wanted to succeed playing solo, I had to either waste a huge amount of time determining what skills were ok to invest in or look up what to do online. Even then It was possible that the skills I wanted to use would turn out not to be viable. That was not fun. I want to be able to play the way I want to and be able to win the game alone. I don't want it to be easy, but I want it to be possible. If that is met then everything else I've seen will ensure that the game rocks.

If that made sense to you, Bravo! I think I even confused myself...
If Diablo 3 is going to be a huge disappointment, I'm not sure what I will do... Of course I'm going to play some other game that's awesome (don't ask me which one atm) and I'm going to cry in a corner; been waiting way too many years for this game to be released...

Well, hope the beta will give us good news about the game.
