What I want even more than travel between acts is to skip cut scenes. Seriously, I am freaking annoyed by playing through the game just because there are so many cut scenes and animation that can't be skipped. I'd actually like to do an entire playthrough in "story mode" if I could just skip the 20 seconds where the freaking stupid dumb Scoundrel is looking for the keys in his bag to open that god damn door.
That's actually a great point and it falls right in line. Diablo games are meant to be replayed hundreds (if not thousands) of times over many years. The relentless dialogue just reeks of Jay Wilson. The dialogue boxes annoy me endlessly, especially when re-rolling HC chars. I don't need anything popping up to distract me when death is permanent.
The constant smashing of my backspace button to prompt them to hurry up (as in the example you gave of the scoundrel fumbling for keys) gets really old.
Kulle and Cydea, the worst offenders.
Kulle; "Ah that reminds me of this really really long story. Four score and seven years ago, furthermore, moreover and etcetera etcetera and then once when I was a young man.......also, I forgot to mention some more long winded details about my childhood...." GOD SHUT UP SHUT UP I JUST WANT TO LEVEL YOU DICK!!
If you look closely, you can see that nephalem valor starts stacking whenever he kills an elite pack of monster. Keep in mind he is playing as a lvl 30-40 something crusader on normal mode.
On live you need to be 60 to start stacking nephalem valor.
One thing to keep in mind is that this Gamescom preview focused mostly on the pre-expansion patch features and less on the expansion. My gut feeling is they wanted to tease the expansion just a bit and then really hit hard with all the expansion features come Blizzcon. It wouldn't shock me at all if something like "free roam mode" was a part of the expansion but that they're holding out on expansion details beyond the stuff we all knew was going to be included (another act, another playable class, etc.).
Blizzcon will be quite interesting this year, for sure, since there are clearly a lot of things in the pipeline for D3 both in terms of the expansion and in terms of the pre-expansion "megapatch" or... "patches."

What makes you think that there will be much more stuff announced for the expansion at Blizzcon? I'm not saying there won't, and i certainly hope there will. I just haven't seen any indication that they haven't revealed all the major stuff already.
Well the Nephalem trials could be revealed at Blizzcon along with the PVP mode... These two systems are quite big. Plus more details about the loot 2.0 and loot runs, etc...
So im not sure if Josh M just gets excited and miss speaks (ala the whole 'we pulled PC resource for console debate') but did anyone notice in the loot 2.0 video that he states that "all legendaries can roll at all levels"?
I knew about the changes making all legendaries able to drop in inferno, but according to him should be able to get a skorn drop at level 12.

It seems entirely unlikely that they'll spill all the info prior to Blizzcon. Blizzcon is their big hype machine. They need some slick reveals for all their games. It'd almost be stupid to give us *all* the details ahead-of-time and then have nothing new and shiny to show us come Blizzcon. That basically undermines Blizzcon and I just can't see them doing it - the Diablo 3 panel has to have material.

Well, if you start to be nitpicking every single of his words, we can also turn it around; he said all legendaries can ROLL at all levels, but he didn't say all legendaries can DROP at all levels. So all legendaries could scale up, like a level 70 SoJ, but a Skorn never dropped when killing level ~55 or lower monsters anyways, so...
To be honest, the 1-60 part of the game has become completely meaningless to me and I don't care too much about it anymore. Sorry :-/

We heard about that before.
It's certainly a planned feature. Let's hope they can deliver it.

I can't find it but i'm 99% sure a blue mentioned when they first talked about this that it was going to be upwards only. No level 15 Skorns, but level 60 Leoric's Signets.
What makes you think that there will be much more stuff announced for the expansion at Blizzcon?
In this interview video, posted in another thread, at 10:00, he says "There's a lot of features we haven't talked about so far with this announcement. We had to think and choose, there's so many features in this expansion. You've discovered a taste of what's coming in Reaper of Souls.".
Even without this confirmation, the expansion is several months away: we won't have the equivalent of the expansion patch notes in a mere announcement. More details are coming later, Blizzard has always loved to give information in dribs and drabs!
Good source!
I totally get the logic that they want to have big stuff to reveal at Blizzcon, I just can't shake the feeling that they knew they had to make a big impression with the announcement of RoS, which to me makes it somewhat unlikely that there's still a lot of REALLY big stuff that they haven't announced.
They obviously still have a lot of new skills to show off, and a deeper look at lootruns andnephalem trials. But do any of you guys actually think they could hold off on something like another new class? Or some cool PvP system? Seems unlikely to me.
EDIT: I just realized that the interview MrJul linked to confirms that there will not be another class for RoS.
I think they totally could. Imagine Blizzcon where they reveal ANOTHER new class, more game systems, etc. People would go nuts. Including me.
Edit: Just saw your edit(haven't watched video), so take out the new class part. Still, could be a lot of new we don't know about(obviously, since they said so!).

The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn’t...
I could be stretching here, or just REALLY hoping, but in the Razor interview, they didn't really say there are no other new classes, just that the Crusader is the "star of the hour for Reaper of Souls". Could mean, Crusader is the big fun announcement for the literal hour of RoS announcements at Gamescom. Blizzard is known quite well for answering questions with non-answers.
EDIT: Nephalem Trials are exactly what Edriel posted previously

I really couldn't help but notice, that to the question:
"The crusader has been announced. Is there any plans to release an additional one?"
Josh answers:
"The crusader is the star of the hour *mumble* Reaper of Souls"
If they were ever to release another character at blizzcon, this seems like a pretty good dodge of the question tbh.
Probably just wishful thinking though
Totally with you on that. Usually, they'd say no, right? Only time you wouldn't answer a question directly is if you are hiding something!
