Even More 1.0.5 Information
It looks like even more interviews are showing up around the web. This time d.163.com translated another interview with a few bits of new information.
According to the Translation, it looks like we will need to set Monster Powers to level 2 or 3 to be at the same level that Inferno is at now.
The PTR Button that we saw light up on the client is no indication that anything will be up on the PTR any time soon.
Speaking about Inferno - " most people believe it is too difficult, and a small number of people think that is too easy."
They are still working on PvP
The rest goes on with information we already know - Higher Monster Powers, the better the loot...ect

Inferno too hard..... It is suppose to be too hard, and even harder for noobs, since most of the population is noob then most of them think it is too hard, this is not an indication to make it easier.
I'm not one to question Blizz's authority on anything, being the fanboy that I am, but how exactly do they determine what the majority of players think? I mean, you'd think they create like polls on Bnet or something, but I don't recall any such. What ARE their sources?!
This is not a game for casual players, I play it everyday and found it too difficulty, after spending a lot of time farming gold to buy items from AH now I can farm and kill diablo in act4 inferno...
I used to farm act1 and 2 but never found goods to go up from it, again just after farming gold and buying item from AH, that is why I say this is not for casual players and even hardcorers found the game pretty annoying but because of loot rate, so hard to get yout own item that you have to loot gold to buy it from another one ...
oh yea the AH again ...
Conversation with a friend
Me: Cmon I killed Diablo last night
Friend: I killed it before the nerf
Me: Well you bot act3 Hell for gold during much time, IF I had the gear you got before NErf I would kill too
Friend: So? you farmed inferno and still bad
Me: Yeah, gold farm >>>> then item farm
Friend: Still is
Yes it is true, I kille dit only last night heh but was farming act3 since the 1.0.4 patch, dying a lot in the start but after a few gold upgrades on AH I found my way easy
Oh the AH playing? not for casual as the good gear to go into inferno will not drop in other difficulties because this system is a little failed, in other worlds, how to gear up yourself without gold? spent million years on act4 hell to get a good rare?
thats something you should consider before flame ppl who still think the game is diff, for me is not anymore, it is way to easy now with my ww barb...
Remember that Im not saying what is right or wrong, just sharing how I made my way to finish the game, now Im pretty bored that I never find a good rare, have no head to a new char due to paragon lvlin so Ill stick in barb forever and very frustrated about farming again, never saw a legendary and all rares are trash, so unluck
This is not a game for casual players, I play it everyday and found it too difficulty, after spending a lot of time farming gold to buy items from AH now I can farm and kill diablo in act4 inferno...
Inferno is not (or was not, rather) intended for casual players. This is something a lot of casual players find hard to comprehend.
Oh the AH playing? not for casual as the good gear to go into inferno will not drop in other difficulties because this system is a little failed, in other worlds, how to gear up yourself without gold? spent million years on act4 hell to get a good rare?
Exaggerating a point only kills it. If you're not prepared to farm to enter a harder difficulty, then that difficulty is not for you. Stay in Hell then. Oh, you want all the shiniest of shinies? Then earn it.
So you're saying that its better for me to stop then? I know we all should stop complaining and stop comparison, but casual players could have a lot of fun in D2, it was not that harder to get good items not the godly, but the good to help you it was not hard, and you could even mf in hell meph or andy with not the BiS gear ...
if you cant drop good gear in other difficulties to help in inferno, I assume that it is better for gold farm then ... IF I would use only items that I got from farm I think I would be killing butcher even after 3 months of playing, glad all my items are from AH, feels very rewarded game and I made the search and buyout on my own .. lol
I like the nerfs, it makes possible for me to beat the game, this should not fun for you, but for me and a few friends that were stuck forever in act1 was good =)
and now they are nerfin a lot for casual and adding the option to be challenge harder for the hardcorers ones, its good for both of us dont you think?
My girlfriend plays at most 3 hours a week and has beaten Diablo on Inferno and farms acts 1 and 2 comfortably and act 3 with a bit of a struggle. She has done this without ever paying more than 100k for any single item, which is a choice she makes because she is stingy and doesn't like spending much gold.
Please stop this casuals can't enjoy D3 argument. It is nothing more than people stretching to find one more thing to complain about because they are so jaded.
So you're saying that its better for me to stop then? I know we all should stop complaining and stop comparison, but casual players could have a lot of fun in D2, it was not that harder to get good items not the godly, but the good to help you it was not hard, and you could even mf in hell meph or andy with not the BiS gear ...
I'm not saying it's better for you to do anything. All I'm saying is, if you find Inferno too hard, that's fine. Don't play on Inferno then. Oh, and by the way. This isn't Diablo 2. And finding good items in Diablo 3 is not as hard as you make it out to be. Sure, it takes time, but so does everything worth doing.
if you cant drop good gear in other difficulties to help in inferno, I assume that it is better for gold farm then ... IF I would use only items that I got from farm I think I would be killing butcher even after 3 months of playing, glad all my items are from AH, feels very rewarded game and I made the search and buyout on my own .. lol
and now they are nerfin a lot for casual and adding the option to be challenge harder for the hardcorers ones, its good for both of us dont you think?
... but that's just the thing. Act 3+4 Hell DOES drop rares that will allow you to enter Inferno Act 1. If you think they don't, you probably didn't give it enough of a try. I agree, before the Act 2 and 3 Inferno nerfs, I found Inferno to be extremely frustrating. But finally killing Belial before the nerf was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in the game.
I'm not really sure how I feel about them adding a casual option for Inferno. I just don't see the point. Casual players already have a place, it's called Hell (I mean the difficulty, I certainly don't mean to imply that being a casual player is "Hell" ). It's not like they can't play the game, just because they aren't prepared to put in the hours/have the skill level to farm in Inferno.
Edit: The whole thing just stinks to the High Heavens of Blizzard going back on their word of Inferno being impossibly hard, because too many people are moaning on the b.net forums. And I feel uncomfortable about that.
glad blizz dont think that way and is trying to balance things ... I like diablo I like to play, but the statement that casual should stay in hell is just a unhappy statement ... even casual wants to beat and farm on the best places ...
like the friend said that the gf could done act1 and 2 alone, but after 300 hours of play you feel a little bored of being stucked ....
well anyways .. after 1.0.4 im very happy with the game, and also my friends are... still a little frustrated about the drops but the game is a lot better imo ..and I have a lot of faith in the new patch and the new nerfs and also the option to be harder =)
Stupid changes are stupid (Inferno nerf), but they're a business firstly and game developers after that.
I wish I ran to the b.net forums after killing Diablo on my WD within 4 weeks of release to tell them it was too easy even as a broken class at the time, maybe things would have turned out differently.... wait, who am I kidding.
I realize that some people enjoy being the elite of something but because of RNG, having "noobs" and "non-elite" players does deepen the item pool. I was recently in a public multiplayer game in Act III where a Vile Ward with perfect Intelligence roll dropped for the weakest player we had (he was a level 2 Paragon WD who kept dying) -- he had no Magic Find gear on him -- just the NV stacks and the Paragon bonus. He was so happy because he planned to sell it to get better items. I really hope he got a big sum for it.
Also, there are no "elite" players if there are no "noobs." Think of it this way -- Blizz decides to remove all the noobs and leave only the "elite" players based on DPS/Survivability Balance (or some other criteria). In that scenario, the weakest "elite" player effectively becomes the new "noob." Or, as some economists say: "in a world where everyone is rich, everyone is poor."
Before 1.0.4 I thought Inferno was too hard and was fighting my way through it just having reached ACT 3. Suddenly in 1.0.4 I could solo the whole Inferno by myself or faceroll it with a equivalent melee partner.
Now you say it is too difficult right now?
Inferno is the new Hell, Normal is the new Practice Mode.
I still think the root issue is that Nightmare and Hell are too easy in that they are readily overgeared via the AH. Since players level cap at Inferno demand for those max level items peaks, gear is upgraded/recycled through the AH more slowly, and the AH is no longer the cheap crutch that worked all the way through Hell. Not that I think it would be wise to revamp everything now, but it is understandable for players to be disheartened when difficulty/progression goes from near horizontal to near vertical. Too many lines intersect at the one vertex that is Inferno Act I.
If current inferno = 2-3 on the future inferno scale, and item drops increase by quantity and quality by difficulty level, does that mean default inferno drops are getting nerfed?
They're making it both easier and harder at the same time by offering options to select your own play difficulty.
Yet somehow, some way, people will find a way to complain about it catering to one specific subset of players that they don't believe they belong to.
what this guy said.
10 adjustable difficulty levels in a game with extremely low skillcap, and randomly dropped gear with random stats as the only way to become powerful, and yet people manage to cry.

I can see what you see not. Vision milky, then eyes rot.
When you turn, they will be gone. Whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be. Shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind. Cast down into the Halls of the Blind

Your friend Bots and you dont and play Legit.......? Sounds Real.
I think people are underestimating how powerful the higher power level of Inferno will be.
Inferno 2-3 will be approx what Inferno currently is now. However, since all of our defensive abilities are getting nerfed, clearing it should actually be more difficult than how it is currently. Basically, at Inferno 2-3, we'll have the same difficulty we're currently playing at, but say Barbarians, your Warcry will only grant 20% resists instead of 50%. To the insanely high geared Barbs that are running without Warcry because their gear can handle it, it should feel the same. To everyone else, it will actually be harder.
I highly doubt I'll be able to go any higher than 3 or 4 at first, even though I'm currently capable of clearing the entire thing. Hopefully though, the increase in loot quality will allow me to find potential upgrades more often than once a week allowing me to gear up by farming as opposed to gold grinding so I can progress to the higher power levels. I guess we'll see.

If you actually farm stuff, then no, it's not. It's tedious and boring.
This is the entire problem with the game.
