Im sure that in this Forum, every aspect and concept has been discussed pertaining to Diablo 3.
Seeing how I dont wish to track down answers for several hours, I'll simply ask all of you wise and anxious people.
Does anyone know for a fact, if Diablo 3 is going to have a "Difficulty" level system?
Example: Diablo 2, Normal < Nightmare < Hell.
If so can someone direct me Via source, or just tell me about it.
FYI Im not new to the forum, but I have been away for a year, and forgot my old account info, so I was forced to re-make an account here in Diablo-Fans.
Thusly I have been out of the loop for a year, and Im sure all of you obtain information to D3 that I lack.
So forgive me if I ask questions that you have discussed more than once.
This is strictly for my benefit.
Thanks!

The Nightmare and Hell difficulties are back. As well as maybe one higher...
That..would be awesome..
Thanks for the info.
On second thought, what could surpass Normal< Nightmare< Hell ?
I dont know the lore on other places that the prime evils have a crib. (house, lair etc)
What could be placed harder than Hell difficulty?
Perhaps normal < nightmare < hell < godly?

Yup im pretty sure thats been confirmed. Aside from just having the tougher monsters i would like to see some kind of difference in the difficulties for example they can add some super unique bosses that can only be found in certain areas or the other bosses can have new attacks. You know something to spice the game up that way when i get to nightmare and hell i dont think ah dammit here goes another run through the game.

Ya D2 had some errors with making stronger bosses..
Mostly because they were IMMUNE to physical, ice, fire etc.
That was a big annoyance.
Instead they should have just given the enemy a lot more life, and speed.
Make it more challenging.
I hope to never see an Immune in D3, that will put me in a whole new dimension of pist off.

I agree with that immunes were a bitch to fight. Even though i would like to see them gone i doubt that they are going totally take them out. Also i know that Titan Quest is a different game and it has its flaws but im just gonna say that they could take some ideas from it and either improve on them or use them. That game had some pretty kickass stuff.

An easy solution to that is to start out on the absolute toughest level.
Difficulties have long been confirmed. I'm hoping for a 4th where everything in the game is at equal/highest level or something, so that the best gear could be obtainable all over the place, not just from the "final boss".
As far as immunities goes, they suck. They are a huge flaw in D2's gameplay, and I really don't think they would bring them back. Hell, I'm expecting them to remove some of them in D2's coming patch.
Resistance are good, immunities are stupid. I hope they find good ways to actually make the experience harder and less repetitive between different difficulties, giving completely new attacks to enemies, etc.
Well one reason I have trouble playing D2 is because if the immunities. I played a frost-orb soc and sure enough, monsters everywhere that were immune to frost, and as my fire skills were so low I could not continue.
Hopefully no monsters will be immune to some kind of damage. Or better yet, they can be allowed to be immune, but all characters must have skills that are equally good, using the same skillpoints. For me it would be great if players were forced to switch skills on their hotbar from time to time just to make the game more interesting. Buttommashing is kinda boring so...
Lets say a WD runs around spamming Skull of Flame, if the WD encounters a monster immune to fire the WD should have another skill that does equally or somewhat lower dmg (but not so low the monster is unkillable) so that the players needs to change skills and then continues to fight.
I think it's better to leave that responsibility up to the player. You should have learned the first time out that a monster can become immune to a particular attack and had a back up plan, like being equally proficient in two forms of attack.
But no matter what Blizzard does, there will always be somebody who believes that they know better how it should have been done.
Yup thats why im saying that i doubt their totally going to take out immunes. Some monsters should be immune to certain things. Ex.fire monster would be immune to fire.

Immunity forces the player to switch between skills and thats good. The problem in D2 is that synergies forces you to concentrate in only one element, you don't have the freedom to have a bone spirit and a poison nova in the same character.
If you play attention, in D3 immunities wound't be a problem.
First you have respecs. If a newbie spends all his points in just one element and later 've to fight a fire immune enemey he have the chance to change his build to something viable.
Second you're able to do weapon damage even with casters, Somone's os immune to your fireskulls ? Get a wand of other element. Ofc it shouldn't be easy, bu thats the price of playing a build with only one element.
bu thats the price of playing a build with only one element.
I disagree. There shouldn't be a huge price to playing a build with only one element. Thats the point here.
Immunities would be fine only and -only- if the game promoted having skills of all trees by the time you reach. The simple fact that you will have to pump 15 points into single skills + passives to put them at their best tell me D3 is not designed that way.
Cut the pointless punishing for no reason and leave immunities behind. They are pointless, stupid and break things for no reasons.
I would not mind seeing immunities in Diablo 3 again, and I'm sure we will. Double immunities are pretty lame though, hopefully they'll pass on those this time.
Well either way now a wand/staff can throw some sort of magic missle its probably arcane damage so i doubt many monsters will be resistant to that.

I h8 immunes, for the fact that you cant kill them with a specific character.
Barbs were always physical attack, immune to physical was the problem, all but one attack the barb had could hurt Phys immunes.
Same with Sorcs, ice, fire etc. You an ice sorc, your maxed at skill levels for your sorc to be the most powerful you can be with ice. You come across an Ice Immune, all you can do is go around it. Unless you had an extra skill other than Ice.
Which in most cases would be considered a waisted skill point.
It was a hassle, hopefully, no matter what the immune (if that) in D3, ever character will be able to kill it.
Blah...time to go eat pizza...

Do it hard-core and there will be no repeats.
