There was a blue post clearly stipulating that inferno was nerfed. They even went into detail about the nerf and why it was being nerfed. A lot of wannabe hardcore crybabies went to the forums and did their waterworks dance, QQ! A few days later, shockingly 'wink' 'wink', Blizzard suddenly made another announcement completely contradicting what they said earlier. Now, supposedly, inferno is to be made even more difficult!!!
Well....
NEWSFLASH: They lied....its pretty damn obvious isn't it!! They have no obligation to tell the ignorant fan base the whole truth. Inferno was obviously nerfed! It is no surprise, and its completely logical! They nerfed it for the exact reason given in the first post; to better allow access into inferno, thus allowing the players progress at their own pace through the now progressive content.
The monster levels mean nothing, they completely control how those mobs scale. We don't even have a means to compare the beta inferno mode and what goes live ffs. The only thing we can do is use logic and reasoning to determine what is actually going on here. Of course, logic and reasoning sides with the first detailed post concerning the inferno nerf.
I am sorry if you bought into the hype once more, but that is all it is. Blizzard, once again, just hyped up their game by telling the fan base exactly what it wanted to hear. Yah its a real shocker I know....

You're 100% wrong. They announced they'd made changes to inferno by making it get progressively harder instead of being the same flat difficulty throughout. A bunch of idiots like you who don't know how to read interpreted that as a nerf, and blue posts responded explaining that it was actually a buff, because later acts ramp up much higher than they did before.
Well, this is a pretty useless topic - no one knows how it is so how can it be 'nerfed'. I believe pre-release that would actually count as 'making the game' or a tweak.
I'm pretty confident the difficulty has been increased especially in the later acts of inferno. Bashiok made it sound like a relatively steep increase in difficulty in acts 3/4 in two detailed forum posts a few weeks back. This is all good news in my books, I want Inferno to be a real challenge. I'm mostly curious about loot farming efficiency as it seems you can find almost all items in the game even in hell mode. I'm intrigued as to what will yield better loot, smashing mobs in hell or crawling through inferno.

I am not arguing that. That was even clearly written in the first post as well. I am saying, just like in the 1st post, that the entry into inferno was nerfed to allow more access. After you get into inferno it will increase in difficulty per act, though you would likely need to get to the 2nd or 3rd act to get back to the flat inferno level that was in beta.
The other post completely contradicted that and stipulated that the 1st act would be on par with the beta flat inferno difficulty. Which makes absolutely no sense at all, and again is completely contradictory to the first much more thorough post.

There was no inferno in the beta, and how do you even know what the difficultly was in their internal testing? You have nothing to back up these clames and are just getting people riled up for no reason.
It sounded good on paper that they'd have a difficulty level where everything was equally hard. The problem was that once you can beat A1, you can beat the whole difficulty with no additional gearing. For that reason, and because of internal tester feedback, they increased monster levels in A2-A4 Inferno so that it'd provide more gameplay. This is just summing up what Bashiok said, and I see no reason to doubt him on it as it makes perfect sense.
As far as nerfing A1, while I saw a lot of speculation that they had done that due to some unclear wording by Bashiok, it certainly wasn't explicitly stated that they nerfed Inferno. However, Bashiok has explictly said that this did not happen. Why do you asume he's lying?
Previously, Inferno difficulty was mlvl 61 across all of Inferno, and now it starts at mlvl 61 and ramps up quickly in Act I and ends somewhere around 65 (?) in Act IV. We've only increased the difficulty.

Internal beta testing.
I know that I don't know, but neither do you or anyone else here. Thats why they can easily get away with deceiving you and make you think you are amazing uber.
ZOMG I am soooo fucking amazing!!! I just beat the buffed inferno mode, lolz!!!

That is the 2nd quote that is a clear lie that I was referring too, thanks.
The wording in the first post was crystal clear, and anyone with an elementary school understanding of the English language knew what it meant. It not only mentioned there would be a nerf, but even explained the reasoning. It was hardly a hasty message done on a quick whim.

I am not trolling....people on this site obviously have a hard time with English.
Their bias is getting in the way of understanding something quite clear, merely because they don't want to believe it.

Why are we having this conversation again? There was a huge post about this where the arguments were going back and forth and no one made any headway. You don't want to take them at their word that they originally had it at level 61 across the board and then buffed it, fine. You don't have to believe them, but the truth is you can't prove them wrong either because none of us have seen past 1/3 of act 1.
At this point, many people don't care one way or the other as long as inferno is hard and fun. Save your bias until you play it.
I've seen enough whining threads, Go back to your fuckin hole and take off the tin foil hat man. They clearly stated that they did NOT nerf inferno.
Prior to that they clearly stated they did...
There is no tin foil hat needed!
Obviously one of the statements was untrue....
Logic and reasoning sides with the hastily created 2nd post to calm the masses.

also who cares since we don't even know how really hard it is/was etc etc

that's what i imagine will be now, act 1 will be the original inferno-hard and the subsequent acts will be progressively harder
