they don't have to add an entire new act, just something new. imagine if WoW never had content updates. d3 doesn't need subs for small content updates. if they had done this from the start more people would be playing and getting their friends to buy copies. they'd make plenty of money. -

people wanted a game they would play as much and for as long as WoW while not paying a subscription. they may not admit it, but that's the cause behind a lot of the whine/complaint posts. -

they'll allow mp in public games at some point. like was stated above, they'll probably start out allowing a certain range of mp, maybe just lvl 1. -

if drop rates don't change this still makes act 1 more valuable than it currently is. the monsters there are easier by design than act 3. i imagine if you want faster paragon levels it might be easier and faster on act 1 with monster level cranked up. assuming you can't breeze through max monster lvl act 3. -

the only way to have both offensive and defensive ability options without forcing someone into a support role is to force limited selections of each
that is, you get to choose X number of offensive skills and Y number of defensive with no freedom to do more or less of either.

it might work better with LoN
frostburn turns mana toads into a decent control spell. also, I'm not sure about 2.4.1, but 2.4 LoN buffed damage that SoA doesn't like gem/item procs. this is important because toads is one of the best proccing spells in the game for groups.
i can't speak with experience for 2.4.1, though. I did try SoA and LoN spiders/toads/mimics in season 5. it worked, just not as strong as LoN gargs of course.

it's not as much dmg reduction as it might seem because of the way blizzard handles the math. when you add more dmg reduction it isn't reducing the initial amount by that percentage. otherwise you could stack to 100% and never take damage.
this doesn't mean serpent/life link are terrible choices, but it depends on what else you're using. don't sacrifice a bunch of offense to have dmg reduction from several different places. pick one or two and then use different types of defensive options.

i enjoyed it with a helltooth pet build. mask, taskers, etc... their damage isn't so bad.

I understand the complaints about this, but as a solo player that primarily does seasons I have a hard time caring if a handful of characters become ultra powerful. I can barely think of anything more pointless than botting or grinding to and beyond 2000.

seems to me you need to pick 3 slots that each have 2 of the most powerful choices available
can't wait to screw around with this in the next season

don't play one game too much at once. you'll burn out and suddenly feel like you're bored or disappointed with the game, when in fact you're just burned out from playing too much. that's usually when players start looking for ways to be a negative force (cheating, rude in chat, trolling, etc...) or lash out at the company.

it's a great change. people need a visual to know that something is working.
i don't play with numbers on and i certainly don't want to do any math. so seeing the change would be a bit of a relief.

there's two things i've done that help a lot. i've focused more on armor and resists than vitality. even if the toughness number goes down. the second thing is to have more cc. i switched to enchantress using her cc abilities instead of dps ones. i use addling toads with rheno and i have cc secondaries on some of my gear.
i don't have everything i want yet so there's still room for improvement. even though, some of these deadly mobs are being handled. some times they don't even get in one single attack. sometimes pets still die, but not nearly as much.
