Yes you can and I think it's a great new mechanic in D3. I'm actually enjoying the full set bonuses for 7 different sets at once. It's really quite powerful and I definitely recommend it.
Interesting points. I hope that d3 doesn't get released on the current gen of consoles as that will really limit the game's shelf life (720/PS4 will be out soon - way before both expansions are complete). Also, I like the loads of interactive rocks, chests, urns, books, etc. in the dungeons. All you need is a basic AoE spell to farm it quickly - i.e 1 arcane orb can easily crack 10+ urns. I also disagree with your review predictions - there's no way gamespot will drop D3's rating below 9.0 *Squint* - it would be cool if they matched the highest PC review of alltime! Diablo - 9.6
I'm pretty confident the difficulty has been increased especially in the later acts of inferno. Bashiok made it sound like a relatively steep increase in difficulty in acts 3/4 in two detailed forum posts a few weeks back. This is all good news in my books, I want Inferno to be a real challenge. I'm mostly curious about loot farming efficiency as it seems you can find almost all items in the game even in hell mode. I'm intrigued as to what will yield better loot, smashing mobs in hell or crawling through inferno.
Automap pings certainly doesn't seem like a needed feature at this point and I don't think they'll ever deem it necessary to develop one. When it comes to party communication/cooperation there is always the numpad commands! Classic throwback to D2. ;] Although there are only 10 hotkeys available, you can bind 20+ voice commands as you please. Just an alternate method for team coordination I suppose. :\
I agree. I think they should keep the cap at 8, it seems like a downgrade from D2. :\ Why not allow 8 players and make monsters really tough? If one prefers a smaller party you can cap to game at whatever you like. I just don't understand (or even acknowledge) any rationale for 4 player max. That being said, I'm not too upset about it either - I will be playing a lot of solo.
Truly a godly xbow!! Previous beta patches had hand bows that did 30-35 DPS but those have all been restricted to higher levels. Given that change your bow is truly a great find and would fetch a pretty penny on the gold or beta bucks auction house. Nice rare quiver as well, the +10% IAS is pretty sweet. Where did you find these 2 items?
I will just do the 100% safe b.net download ready for midnight. I will 99% buy a CE as well after the fact and I don't think they'll be that scarce on amazon or ebay or wherever.
Yea man it will be fun. Not sure if I can get 8 on a whim like this so it may have to wait until a little later today/tonight. Anyone who wants to participate post here and we can try to get it going asap.
Doesn't make a lick of difference to me now that I'm graduated. I can't believe they announced the damn release date the day after me and my long term GF broke up. SO ironic
I'm glad youre finding the classes to be quite balanced, i'm sure Blizzard will continue fine tuning class balance well into release. I think choosing your initial class well depends on a few factors. Some players don't care about efficiency/speed and they just go with whichever class seems the most fun, cool! Other more intense players should pick according to their playstyle i.e attempting to solo the game (with follower) calls for a very different approach (class/build choice) than playing in groups. Personally, the only class I've eliminated is the Monk for my first play through though I'm becoming less impressed with DH too. :[
