hmmmm based on the aesthetic appeal of his spells i think i like the witchdoctor the best
based on the resources systems ive seen so far i think i like the wizard the best
based on anticipation i think i like the fifth class the best
based on potentially being the most rewarding for the hardcore player i think i like the monk the best
and based on being a big lovable lug with wicked cool armor i think i like the barbarian the best
I'm not sure of the last one, as I want some sort of quick melee spellcaster. I don't really want to do "martial arts" like the monk, but something like a poison/bone melee necro, or shapeshifting druid.
This is, of course, dependent on how awesome the 5th class is. I'm personally hoping for something like a ninja, where stealth is actually useful, a high damage, low hp, short range class.
As of right now it's between the Witch Doctor and Wizard. They just seem the coolest in my opinion, and look fun as hell to play. Plus I just love caster types in general.
i tend to love casters as well, but i like to save the best for last.
so assuming the 5th class does indeed use a bow, my play order will be:
>--barbarian (ick!!!),
>--monk (gnarly fella, but appears difficult to use with the assassin-like combos),
>--witch doctor (i know i'm contradicting myself here since he's a caster, but i'm not feelin' him),
>--5th class (can't wait to finally see what it is!),
>--wizard (love the character, hate the name! i'm used to a wizard being a geriatric sage).
I'll play the Wizard first because well I'm a spell-caster I love em' always them first unless there is a druid, Then i like dark magic next so i'd prob have WD as 2nd option and then third is 5th class cause it'll be a bowman of some sort and i like ranged classes then barb and never monk. I hate the monk, he just doesn't look appealing enough to me.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
>--monk (gnarly fella, but appears difficult to use with the assassin-like combos)
I agree, the monk looks difficult to play, and very combo heavy/dependant for damage. But, if he turns out to be anything like the Assassin(outside of combos), I'll most definitely have atleast one character that's a Monk.
WITHOUT A DOUBT: Witch Doctor! The Barbarian is obviously a hands-on bloodbath-making machine, and as fun as that sounds, I think the Witch Doctor's sleuth of diseases, summons, curses, or whatever will make for unlimited fun. Plus, based on the gameplay videos, they get to cause the most visual chaos! Locusts, summoning, imbuing your summons with locusts, and then exploding your summoned creature?! Yes please.

A belief in no God is a belief in everything. It is a belief in the unfathomable number of events of blind chance required for every living thing to be here.
Need to figure out what 5th class is, if 5th class is a rogue-like class (no assassin fist crap in Diablo II, I want stabby stab stab) then I'll prolly go for that.
Bah, I was sold on Witch Doctor, but in reality I don't know. I can see myself enjoying all classes, but I usually tend to stray from primarily spell-using classes. The Witch Doctor seems to be an exception for me given their gameplay variability. I can only rule out Wizard as not being my first class. Depending on the fifth, maybe I'll assign numbers to the other 4 and roll a dye until I get one of their numbers.
Barbarian: Brute force, lots of "smashy-smashy", can spec in pure damage, defensive, or some hybrid of both I'm guessing.
Monk: Challenging to use perhaps, but once mastered probably very powerful. Probably the most visually exciting character to use. Seven-sided strike and Exploding Palm strike? I'll take both, and super-size them please. In fact, I read that they're tough to use at first, but once you figure it out they're really, really powerful. Too powerful in fact, so I'm pretty sure they're nerfing them quite a bit.
Witch Doctor: Where does the visual chaos end? Summoning zombie walls, exploding fire potions, horrifying enemies, casting locusts, imbuing your summons with locusts and exploding them in the middle of mobs? Wowzers!
Unannounced Class: Can it possibly be bad ass enough to make me play it?! I hope so!
How can one choose? Maybe once I own the game, pop it in, one class will call out to me.

Probably the barbarian. I usually play LAN with my girlfriend, and she always insists on playing the spellcaster (I don't think she ever played anything but sorcs in D2) so I end up picking a melee class.
The WD is probably my least favorite character so far, at least conceptually.
The monk is fine, but he reminds me a bit of the assassin, one of my least favorite classes in D2. I'm afraid their playing style will be too similar, but I might be mistaken.
If the fifth class is armored melee I'll definitely go for that. If it's an archer then it will be my second choice.
From the classes we are currently aware of, my first character will be a monk, followed by the wizard, the witch doctor and finally, the barbarian. I will not know where to place the fifth class until we learn more about it.
Barbarian
Witch Doctor
Wizard
Monk
And yea, depending on the 5th class, I'll change some stuff accordingly.
the wizard is not at all appealing to me, for reasons unknown
Same. I mean, whats not cool about a wizard, but for some reason, just not that interested. And I don't really dig on the Monk either because of all the hype it gets. Uhg. It may not even get as much hype as others but it's what I see personally. Whenever Diablo III comes up, or I go to a website or something its MONK THIS MONK THAT. Ffffu.

The monk has a pretty interesting style of gameplay and i can't wait to see him with some badass fist weapons
Since the 5th will most likely be a Ranged type, that will be my second roll I believe
