Thank you for trying to settle some of the rage, Phrozen. +1 to you.

Honestly, I think everyone is mostly just worried about being able to instantly gear out a character with a credit card and no skill, but they need to remember that somebody has to find this item and decide that selling it for cash is more beneficial than salvaging, selling for gold, saving it for another character, or giving it to a friend.

Chinese Farmers may be able to farm gold fairly easily, but if they have limited Magic Find as well as it seems, they are not going to be able to get Legendaries left and right like in D2, and they have severely limited the teleport functions of every class.

farmers will take over. think of WoW if you have ever played it... this will ruin the game i can't see how anyone thinks otherwise they are legitimizing and condoning (maybe indirectly but condoning none the less) gold/item farming so they can make more money. THAT IS ALL. After 10 years of waiting this is what you get, the ability to completely deck out a character with a credit card. It will happen if you can buy items with money plain and simple. Instead of working on ways to prevent it they are making it easier.

posted a message on When Arena was announced for D3...
eh i knew as soon as i saw arenas a bunch of people were going to hop on the "this is going to be like wow" band wagon. There is no resilience, there is no healing, and i doubt that there will be any class imbalances because this Diablo 3 group is different than the world of warcraft group. The only thing that is similar to WoW is the name, arenas. All arenas is, is a location where the battle takes place. The game and the classes are completely different and as stated there are no pvp items like in World of Warcraft. Go back to when World of Warcraft didn't have resilience before arenas really got big. Pre-bc i got rank 12 marshal on my warrior and even though you did get items for pvp in that time the items were not better than pve items. A time when ranks and titles were the point of pvp, that was a good time.

Who needs to be safe in Diablo PvM?
Your guy is essentially a god killing thousands of monsters in a given minute.
So lets say you get in the leg...leg still works but you can take that dead dudes leg over and put it on you and you MIGHT walk better, but it isn't really needed since you walk just fine with your current shot leg. You gonna switch legs?

It is quiet easy to add systems to a game, and if you are gonna remove systems buddy atleast come up with a better excuse then that you suck at the game and found it confusing.
Obviously you have never really PvP'd. I mean I know the PvP crowd in Diablo are 90% bad and rely on potions or a team to kill anything or anyone but thats cause you lack the skill needed to do anything solo. Removing weapon switch doesn't alter the difficulty at all, in fact it makes it easier for me to kill you, now how does removing weapon switch make the game balanced? So by balanced you mean remove any sort of system in which someone can gain skill in and thus beat an unskilled person in..so lets remove namelock while we are at it no?

How does weapon switch take more "skill"? Its going to take skill to kill someone whether you have it in there or don't have it in there its just going to require a different strategy?

And no i mean balance as in chugging down retarded potions when your about to die because your bad at the game thats what i mean. Or how retarded overpowered many abilities are in diablo 2. If you think Diablo 2 was a balanced game then i need say no more, you are a moron. lol.

and i can tell you didn't get my P.S guess i should not be to surprised, but you keep saying that Diablo 3 is not enough llike SC2, and if it was i would probably be throwing a little girl fit like you are because AGAIN Diablo 3 is not SC2.

Yea but your not a business man and for good reasons

And whos diablos fans? because im pretty sure diablos fans are eager and awaiting a badass game that we all know is going to be badass. So who are you?

Doesn't really matter if you feel it will be more challenging or not, cause it really won't make that big of a difference. The fact that their reason for doing so was cause that it was complicated and that cause it was "abused" which...I don't see how it was abused? People used the other hand to buff their character...ok..so would me putting items in my inventory and using them like they did before weapon switch really change that much? They have yet to really give anyone a good reason for removing or changing a system that was proven to work and work good.

Nice dodge their umpa, face it the Starcraft team didn't waste their time with making jokes or removing systems in the game that have proven to be good and work good cause they didn't carebear it. Their first models were called soft and light and not Starcraftish..did they go and make a unicorn character...or wait..did they add rainbow flames on the marines...no they looked at their stuff and said yea...my stuff is kinda light lets make this more badass. Diablo gets the same critiqe and they remove systems with no reasons other then "We know what we are doing cause we suck at Diablo" and they throw rainbows in their demos and make t shirts..I don't know if I was a business man I would hire SC team over Diablo team cause the SC team took care of its fans..

your right don't even make a new game just make the graphics better and call it diablo 3.

Just a heads up but most of your arguments are really really really bad. They are taking things out of diablo 2 because its an old game and it had many problems. Yes lets have a fun pvp system where the winner is the person with the most potions? There is no real reason you need weapon switch? Is the game going to be to hard for you if it is not in the game? Because i know I'm going to tear shit up. I don't see how removing things that 1. makes the game harder and more challenging 2. makes the game more balanced. Makes the game carebear? lol

I have 2 words for you, just 2 words:

    Starcraft 2

i am not sure what your getting at exactly? This won't make people quit wow since they are 2 completely different types of games really. However Diablo 3 and WoW are very similar types of games and i could see people quitting WoW for a free game (when it comes to monthly payment) that is probably better anyways. I'm not sure if this was what you were getting at or not but i am pretty sure the reason Diablo 3 has been delayed for so long and still is being delayed is for WoW. Once the expansion hits and people buy into it they won't just quit for Diablo 3.

This is Blizz, what do you expect.

One of the slowest game developers on earth.

Blizzard is not slow at developing games, they just want to make the most possible money by releasing them at different times.

Guaranteed the main reason Diablo 3 will not be released this year is because of World of Warcraft Cataclysm. Blizzard knows or thinks that if they released Diablo 3 before that, people will quit wow (and their monthy payment) and play Diablo 3 instead. So what Blizzard has most likely done, is given the Diablo 3 team a large amount of time to develop the game and set a release date for some time after Cataclysm comes out because they think less people will leave WoW after this Xpac comes out. Do i like it? no Do i think blizzard cares more about money then their fans? of course.

Well they've only got like 60 people working on it, they've got no deadline, they work and rework every aspect of the game at least two dozen times to find the one they like best, they've got unlimited funding, and they're perfectionists.

Of course they're going to take a long time.

they have about 70 people working on it and that is actually a lot if they are all devs/producers and if that does not include QA (Quality Assurance)?

They already have the last class chosen i read that somewhere. I don't think that d3 is taking long because blizzard is lagging or anything, i think it could be done sooner but they are prolonging it for other reasons or have prolonged it in the past for other reasons. It will no doubt be a good game, one that i would hope would be released this year as i and many others are getting very impatient with the amount of time since the first game play trailer was released.

Posts like these are good though they need to know that their diablo fans have grown impatient with the last decade of no sequel to diablo 3. Try to make it less angry and dumb sounding though (referring to the OP).

They have a lot to release actually. Last I heard Starcraft 2 is being split into three different games (or is it going to be two extra expansions?) Either way each game will focus on only one race. They have plenty of WoW patches to do as well as another what, 4 expansions? I read somewhere there's going to be a total of six or eight WoW expansions. We also have the Diablo 3 expansion(s) they'll no doubt do. Oh and that new MMO they're making that nobody knows anything about.

They honestly could release Cataclysm, SC2, D3 in the same year because with all the expansion and patches we'll have over the next two years after Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 are released we're going to be all Blizzarded out.

There is supposed to be a total of 6 wow expansions 2 that are already out and 1 that comes out this year. They are working on a new mmo and starcraft as well. Diablo 3 is in the making they have a lot of great games coming and expansions. But as i said before i will be extremely diappointed if blizzard does not get diablo 3 out by the end of this year because i really do not see the importance of having the 3rd WoW expansion coming out before diablo 3. I was playing diablo 2 what 9 years ago?

Anyways the point i am trying to get at is just pure disappointment that the 3rd WoW expansion pack, which does not need to be rushed for release, will be out before diablo 3 a game that is expanding on another from almost a decade ago.

Kinda agree, but I'd rather wait a year and play other games and have a fully completed Diablo 3, than have it sooner with lots of bugs, Hellgate: London style.

well working the bugs out should be the easiest and fastest part especially if they have open beta sign ups, which im hoping they will have soon. Blizzard would never release a buggy game though. They have a lot of this game completed, i mean there is so much they have not released. I think it comes down to having games released in 2011 because if they do release starcraft and cataclysm this year what will they have to release in 2011? or 2012? Nothing really and it feels like this game could have or should have been completed by this year. I mean they wouldnt have released such a long and detailed gameplay trailer almost 2 years ago if they were not planning on releasing the game soonish. Things got held back for multiple different reasons i am sure. It happens but its really frustrating knowing they probably could have had it out this year with good quality but won't and then WoWs 3rd expansion comes out...

its pretty frustrating to think it wont be out by 2011. i will have probably lost interest or moved on to be honest. It feels like diablo is being left in the back of their priority list.. when its one of the games that got blizzard where its at right now. Doubtfull WoW would have ever came out or been half as good as it is if it were not for the diablo series. The engine for the game is done, they have the first 2 actsish done, the classes have been stated as being completed (for the most part). There really is not that much more to develop or atleast thats how it feels. Gameplay trailer came out over 1.5 years ago, and people said patience then i mean.. wtf? going to come out with the 5th class this year and say no release date still? a class a year kinda thing? Its even more frustrating to think about the WoW expansion coming out before diablo 3. WoW fans are fine they get content patches all the time and all those fans will be there whether you release the game now or whether you release the game next year. Please your diablo fans that have been waiting for years for a sequel/expansion...

think the monk is going to take over the martial arts part so im really doubting a ninja but an assassin type class with ranged capability could be possible. Maybe trees could consist of traps, daggers/swords, bow abilities?
