But I really really hope they have listened to community feedback and deliver something more appealing and playable..
Heh, complaining about the playability of a game I've played for more than 300 hours.. :|
It's not really complaining if you do it in a civil and reasonable manner. We're definitely allowed to criticize good games, as long as we don't go overboard saying they're the worst piece of garbages ever (as so many people do everywhere).
I really hope they listen to the good community feedback. Feedback like "gear is worthless" really doesn't help if it makes them focus on the wrong problem, and only improve affix/gear quality (as has been said they would do). Because they already tried that, and it really doesn't solve the core of the problem (millions of players + an economy + an easy to use tool in the AH).
But this isn't really the place nor the time to talk about that... now we rejoice!!!(further down the road we get mad again)
And dude, you guys totally need to go back to the OP and give that guy them +1 cookies
As you command, sir!
Credit where credit is due - we heard it here first.
Man, I can't wait for another week. Damnit! I hope they present small tidbits on a daily basis on that website until GC, as they did for the D3 announcement.
This feels like the weeks before the release of D3, I'm trembling in excitement!

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
I don't think Imperius would become corrupted. I mean yeah he's a bit of a dick when it comes to his opinion on the existence of Sanctuary, but maybe it's just that. Also (to my knowledge) we have no hint or knowledge of Imperius even having the possibility of becoming corrupted. We all saw how much he hated demons.
I've always thought it was incredibly obvious that Imperius would become (one of?) the antagonists of an expansion. Don't forget he voted to destroy Sanctuary and the Nephalem but lost out. He is also obviously affected when Diablo stabs him through the chest, there was way too much emphasis on that for it to mean nothing.
Malthael definitely seems very likely to be the Reaper of Souls, especially since the Prophecy of the End Days lists Archangels by their domains, and Death is listed on there. The question is: are the other lines things that have happened already, or things yet to come? I'm kind of worried about Tyrael since he became mortal and took up Wisdom, which is going to be 'lost' to kick things off.
Malthael abstained from voting on the fate of the Nephalem, because "Whatever the choice in the end, it does not matter for me."
Player: Malthael abstained? Was it out of cowardice? Tyrael: He was no coward. He was Wisdom itself... until his disappearance. The Angiris Council has been... broken ever since.
His lore entry in game says: "Much uncertainty surrounds the archangel Malthael. Once the calm guiding hand of wisdom, he was lost to us the moment the Worldstone disappeared. Unable to fathom that catastrophic event, he abandoned Heaven. His departure created a colossal fracture within the Councilone that, to this day, remains unrepaired."
Deckard Cain wrote in the Book of Cain: "Malthael is the most mysterious member of the Angiris Council. He is an intelligent and noble being who was once said to cherish all life, but the archangel is later described as melancholy, evasive, and at times even frightening.
Perhaps this is because he is bound to the truth of all things. His wisdom comes from seeing the myriad emotions and experiences that connect the universe. I believe Malthael’s demeanor can be better understood through the following tract written by the mortal sage Furisaj, who sought out wisdom for the entirety of his life:
In all things, there are two sides: motion and stillness
emptiness and fullness, light and dark
Alone each side is complete, but together they form the
totality of existence. Only through embracing the
oneness of all things can true wisdom be obtained."
After he began to change due to obsessing over the Worldstone, his voice did as well: "However, as his demenour darkened, his voice became chilling and could provoke thoughts of forboding and feelings of angst. Mendeln was one such example, Malthael's voice filling him with thoughts of permenant, empty death."
Tyrael tells us: Player: What became of Malthael? Tyrael: Long ago, when Inarius and his ilk stole the Worldstone to create Sanctuary, Malthael became consumed with discovering its whereabouts.
As the archangel of Wisdom, he was tortured by his inability to recover the sacred artifact. Player: Where is he now? Tyrael: Some say he haunts the silent halls of Pandemonium, forever seeking answers to the unknowable mysteries of life and death.
So, the Worldstone was stolen and Malthael started going batty over it. What happened in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction? Baal corrupted the Worldstone, and Tyrael destroyed it. That just might have sent Malthael off into the deep end since he went nuts over losing the thing, and now it's completely destroyed due to his failings.

He is also obviously affected when Diablo stabs him through the chest, there was way too much emphasis on that for it to mean nothing.
It's quite clear that Imperius doesn't want Sanctuary to exist, but you have to think about it. Is he in some way corrupted? Or does he just despise the idea of Nephalem and Sanctuary existing? I mean he is the Archangel of Valor after all, so it's understandable that he has the alpha-male type stance to it.
Imperius seems to be an easy pick for the whole corrupted role because of how he sees things, because of how he acts towards situations. A good example of this was how he acted in the short film that was released just before D3 launched. How he acted before thinking. How his hatred fueled his actions.
So what I'm really trying to say here is that it's pretty understandable that it's thought that Imperius will be corrupted/turned, hell, maybe he won't be corrupted OR turned, maybe he'll just act on his own hatred for Sanctuary without thinking, such as he did in the short film.
You bring up a good point about him being stabbed though, that would be a good point for when the corruption could "begin".
But maybe not? Maybe that was just a sign that Diablo had the kind of power to hurt the Archangel of Valor where he was strongest, in the High Heavens themselves. To strengthen the story and show just how powerful Diablo really was?

Death, at last, shall spread its wing over all
Hmmm, a dragon maybe? Shall spread its wings. Where in the diablo universe do we hear of dragons? Here
From Diablo wikia :
Trag'Oul is a mysterious dragon-like being who guards Sanctuary and maintains the Balance between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells. In Richard A. Knaak's The Sin War trilogy, he is depicted as a constellation of stars, in each of which, a different part of life is shown - past, present, and future choices to be made, so one cannot see a definite future. Trag'Oul's exact origins are unknown, although it is hinted that he is not a unique being, that other worlds have guardians similar to him. He has not been seen since the Sin War ended.
At this point, to me, it is unclear how we will interact with Trag'Oul. Will we have to fight it? Will we have to save it from chaos? How will Leah become a piece of the puzzle inside all of this?
I also always thought Adria was Lillith in disguise, but I have a hard time getting the puzzle back together. My diablo lore is quite minimal, but I think I might be into something.
Definite indication of Imperius' fall, and also Diablo himself knowing about it before it happens.
EDIT: Watching it again just reminds me how excited I was for the original release. Boy I hope Blizzard doesn't mess this up. Also, Animation company who made Metalocalypse

Chris Metzen said Leah's soul is in the Black Abyss in the Behind the Scenes DVD, which is a realm where all demons go when they die and eventually are reborn.
Trag'Oul may also not be in the game at all (although they could have just meant the base game): "Trag'Oul, the Dragon god of necromancy, is not around any more and will not be featured in Diablo 3"
I have no doubt that the "Valor will turn to wrath" indicates the turn of Imperius.
This video was released some time before the original D3 release, and it seems a lot of people never saw it:
I'd say ALOT of people saw it, they've just forgotten about it, after all it was on the front page of Dfans for ages. It was also quite a long time ago when it was released.
