posted a message on Diablo III is 5 years old today!

Been playing D3 since day 1 - May 15th is my birthday so D3's release date was kind of cool. :) Still play the very first toon I made, a Barb - I keep rebirthing him in seasons. Very sentimental to him.

Man I've been playing since launch aswell, made a Barb too! I only just realised you could rebirth your heroes into a new season. So that's just what I did hahaha

posted a message on How do you not get bored of diablo

My friends stopped playing Diablo a while ago, many soon after it's release, and the rest soon after RoS release. So I don't actually play with anyone. That doesn't bother me though! I usually throw on some music and just play away.

I guess it all comes down to why you play the game. My objective would be very different to many others who play the game. I play it almost every day but I still consider myself to be a casual Diablo player, even though I've been playing since release. For me, Diablo is just a relaxing game to play. It gives me an escape from reality. From my life, my family, my girlfriend, even my friends! It's a game I love to play, but only in moderation.

Anyway, as others have mentioned so far. Playing with others definitely helps, so does music!

    Diablo 3: is dead.

    Diablo 3: RoS is dead.

Adding new items in each patch will not help the fact that less and less people are playing this game.

This game needs a huge change (expansion) or they should announce new game.

Honestly, I don't see how the devs will attract new players even with a new expansion - because it will be also the same but with a different theme and maybe new class...and a new skill maybe.

I think the only way to make this game better is by changing the gameplay, graphics and system

Game's not dead. The game may be slowing down a bit, but it's not dead. If the game were truly dead then all support would be cut from it. We also wouldn't be seeing anyone playing the game anymore.

Why would the graphics, gameplay and systems need to be changed? They're perfectly fine and are fantastic? Unless you're comparing it to that hot mess of a game called Lost Ark? Even then, Diablos gameplay, graphics and systems are super tight and work really well. The graphics of Diablo 3 are still awesome because they look fantastic and don't require a beast of a machine to run. Bumping the graphics up to a ridiculous level would only shave off a considerable amount of players due to the hardware requirements, due to that fact that they can't run it. Also the game would be laggy as hell!

If the next iteration of the franchise was like Albion Online but with the awesomely tight combat dynamic D3 had, it would be amazing. Clans fighting over territory, massive end game PVP, true player economy that would include an entire region of Diablo players, exciting crafting system, etc.

Or it could stay how it is. Either way it would still be awesome, just hope we get another expac but if we don't at least we know they are working on something after all this is still posted... http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/careers/posting.html?id=15000KB

I think territorial battles would be interesting. Although it is hard to imagine how they would accomplish such a thing. In making this, they would need to create two different factions. Sure we have High Heavens and Burning Hells and Sanctuary itself. But how would they implement it in such a way that it falls in line with the story/lore?
I mean, you can't just have the armies of mankind going up against the High Heavens over a certain artifact or piece of land. There would have to be some kind of explanation that falls within the lore.
It is an awesome idea though.

The end of RoS was about a possible corruption of the nephalem. That might lead to a heavens vs hell scenario where nephalems choose a side.
Although this would most likely not be a permanent choice. Seperating players even more (season vs nonseason, softcore vs hardcore, heavens vs hell) would not be wise.
Yeah it did! I guess we'll have to wait and see where they're going with that! Although the whole corruption thing may only be a temporary phase. For all we know (which is nothing thus far) the nephalem could fall to corruption and then be saved from it all within the storyline. Ultimately having no effect on the game outside of the storyline, as it is resolved before it's end.
We'll have to wait though. It's exciting stuff, that's for sure!

Diablo 3 isn't dead, I think those who are complaining about it dying are just making their own reasons on why Diablo isn't getting much attention or time at Blizzcon. We all know that D3 has heaps of blood running through it's veins. I still see a massively active community every time I login to Diablofans and other websites like Reddit.

Blizzard clearly just has nothing to show at Blizzcon (or so we may think?!). It doesn't necessarily mean they're not working on anything. We all just need to take a big deep breath! Everything is fine!

Wow! Awesome work Vegas! You look great man, keep up the good work! At the moment I'm studying exercise and sport science, one thing I'm proud to have learnt throughout the course and field experience is that working out, getting into shape and especially maintaining that figure and especially MAINTAINING the healthy lifestyle (eating healthy and exercising regularly) are not easy, not in the slightest. So I have the utmost respect for you and what you've accomplished :D

Don't stress Ruksak, not matter what you're age, you're always able to get back into shape! Granted you don't have any physical barriers that may prevent you from doing so.

Hell, I just turned 24 two months ago, people at work thought I was 29-30. I'm not overweight or obese by any means, but hearing that made me want to shape up a bit. haha.

That's a very old fan art pic. Like I remember using that as my wallpaper back when D3 was released!

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/media/fanart/?view=fanart-0061

So it was made way after D3's release. But it's still quite old. being a fan art pic I'd say it holds no bearing.

Some interesting dialogue from Johanna, the crusader hero just recently released in Heroes of the Storm.

Here are some of the lines she will say upon killing particular heroes:

My formatting skills are pretty horrible so I'll just put them into a list. The actual dialogue can be found here - http://www.heroesnexus.com/forums/heroes-general/general-discussion/1166-johanna-hero-voiceover-video-strings

    • KillDemon00 - You cannot hide from me in this realm, demon!
    • KillDiablo00 - How many times is that, Diablo? I always lose count.
    • KillNephalem00 - My apologies, nephalem.
    • KillSpreeEnd00 - That's enough of that!
    • KillTyrael00 - It is the age of the nephalem, old friend

I'm just merely pointing it out. It's just an interesting line is all!

I'm actually surprised they didn't add Bartuc's armor as a legendary set. That would have been pretty cool.
