Why would you have to postpone gaming for months exactly?!? You could easily manage a woman and D3 at the same time....Just don't have any kids!!!!!

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
I dont get it. Why would marriage prevent you from doing anything... well, other than the obvious?
The wedding will take a day, then the honeymoon another week maybe, then its just back to the same old shit. Absolutely nothing changes aside from being a little poorer from paying for the occasion and you will wear a ring. Seriously, it really doesnt change a thing.
If your talking about going from a single life straight into living together and marriage, then yeh its a big change, and you would be a fool to even consider it.
I got married like 6 years ago. I played wc3 for 10 years now and i can at least tell you that this game is the thing my wife hates most. The problem with wc3 was that i could not really let go of my computer the minute i started an online game (because you can't let go for a sec if you wan't to win at wc3).
I can't see the same happening with D3 if you play solo. On the other hand, if you wan't to play coop and your team mates can't stop for 5mins from time to time or if you play PVP, it will be a problem, trust me. When your wife will ask you for something, she won't be really happy if it takes you over 15mins to let go of your computer and this will be even more the case if you have childrens.
Basically, if you get married, you will definetly need to rearrange your gaming schedule. But when you think deepfully into it, i guess there is nothing more orgasmic than getting your balls sucked while looting shiny legendary weapons.
People like to joke and troll about scenarios like this. Between men it's fine. But no man in his right mind would delay something even a fraction as important as his wedding to get more game time in. There are some crazy people out there but most people are just not being serious, and rightly so because we're all friends here.
There is a difference between happiness and pleasure.
Get hitched take out a massive life insurance policy and then get her offed so you can retire and make your drinking money from the RMAH while living the rest of your life off said life insurance.
Thats about as serious as an answer you will get from me considering the stupidity of the topic.

Super Cop! He knows where you live, he knows where you sleep.
ofc I will do the number 3 here but I actually told my future wife about that case and that most gamers will pick option 1 or option 2...
She didn't belive me... So I am creating this topic to prove her wrong (or maybe I will be surprised and all of you will actually choose to get married in time?)
The sooner you admit your wife is always right the better you will be.
Looks like some of the people can't read posts until the end... So I will explain the situation a little bit better.
This isn't a troll post. I am NOT asking the forum what to choose for me... I AM getting married (and in time!) [as stated in the ORIGINAL post!].
This post is for my wife, to show her how many people actually think and act according to some games (in this case - Diablo).
We are gamers... we think in a different way and we see things in a different perspective...
we are the people that say "be soon in bed" to our beloved one's while continuing the game session till when the sun rises and then we try to sneak into bed like we were there the whole night.
I was waiting for Diablo 3 for half of my life(!)... and I must confess... the first thing that was on my mind when I saw the release date is to shit on everything and just game till my eyes bleed...
I told it to my wife and she laughed at it saying I am crazy... well showing this poll result to her will make her understand a little the gamer's spirit.
And to those people saying: "just get married and play the game"... Well its not that easy,,,
Planning and arranging wedding is a lot of work... especially few weeks before the event itself and after the wedding? well... you have the honey moon then you need to go back to work and prove yourself there once again... because you just missed 2 weeks of work time (and I work at 2 jobs - meaning my spare time is slim to non)... then you need to look for buying an apartment and from time to time eat and sleep + studying - to try to get a better job in the future...
All of the above are postponing game sessions to a very little amount.... And although I am a gamer that can game for hours straight (and I love it) I have more responsibility then before, thus I must play less.
This post is for my wife, to show her how many people actually think and act according to some games (in this case - Diablo).
If you want to show the general opinion of the forumgoers make a less biased poll. As you see the people hanging here may be core gamers but we are normal healthy people as well.
Me myself, i am married and finishing phd this summer.. Still i make sure to squeeze in game time here and there.
Trying to milk us of opinions we dont have is insulting m8
As much as I have been looking forward to d3, real life is always the main priority. You are obviously going to pick option 3 but make sure that if you get sucked into d3 and play it a lot that it doesn't ruin your marriage
Yes OP, some people would (sadly) prioritize a game above other much much more important things in real life, but i seriously doubt that it is more than a few among a few thousand. Alot of people are highly addicted to a computer and the things that come with it, but most can still make the right choice when it matters.
This. I remember back when I was playing CS competitively during my high school days (about 8-10 years ago now?). A very high percentage of people from the top-division quit the game when it came time for people to study to get good grades to get into university. So you ended up with a lot of people who quit playing when they hit 17 or there abouts, keep in mind that these were people in the top teams in the country/world who played the game very competitively and lived by the game. I remember noticing that the CS scene would churn through players on a yearly basis as a lot of top-pros would quit for exams/other commitments and never return to the game. So yes, we may be addicts but we can still make important decisions. Things may be a bit different these days because the idea of being a "pro gamer" has emerged and the possibilities for sponsorships as e-sports gains momentum and grows but I dont think any D3 players will consider themselves to be progamers.

The truth is yes it sucks that a great game is coming out so close to your wedding but no one would actually ever cancel or postpone a wedding for a game. The people choosing those options are kids who think its funny, or troll,s possibly someone who hates marriage and is now divorced.
1) Canceling the wedding and playing Diablo until I am satisfied (1-3 years).
2) Postponing the wedding for a few months...
3) Getting married and postponing Diablo for a few months.
I don't view polls as a 'chose the closest to a good/real option', so I won't be voting... As you missed 4) Get married, play some Diablo, enjoy both ; )
Lol - well, I think my issue with marriage would be my husband hogging my computer. Stopping me from getting shiny legendary weapons.
