Retribution;276781']If we had a stash that carried on to all of our accounts, it would make transferring, economy, and general item management much, much easier.
I vote yay on that one too. But, I think Blizzard would frown upon players finding great items with a char and then just being able to use those items with a newly created one. It could give that char an unfair advantage. Don't you think this would impact the trade economy of the game?
Yep, I'm in on this, too. One of my favorite features of the ES mod
It would probably cut down on lag, since people wouldn't be logging in and out hyper-fast 300 times an hour, and it would save server space, since you wouldn't need mule characters or accounts.

I dont see how that is avoided in D2 now, with self-muling or muling with a friend. It's called twinking. What else are you going to do with that unique breast plate you got from NM baal?
Shared stash (or an account 'bank' or whatever) is merely a convenience. Blizzard must recognize that people like to hoard.. hell the game is about finding items, and having a shared stash means people will create less accounts and less characters. It doesn't enable or prevent anything, it's a convenience built for the players.
If they do this, it must be huge, and tabbed, so I can have a full stash tab for each type of armor, weapon etc. I like to collect.

Yay or neigh?
making a stash that carried over to multiple accounts might cause some kinds of problems with different people accessing other peoples stashes... as far as one stash for all the characters in a single account, should be fairly easy to do as its already been done in the eastern sun mod. it is deffinately convienent and time saving. i would vote yay in this respect

I also like to hoard and was upset that the stash in D2 wasn't 100x larger.
How about this idea : Each account has an account-wide stash. If i have a lvl 30 barb and find a witch doctor item, I can put it in that stash. Any other character I have on my account gets access to that item as long as they are the same lvl or higher of the original character when he found it, or maybe the lvl I found the item at times 0.75 or something. Then we can use our account-wide stash (bank or whatever) for collecting and transferring without any blatantly unfair advantages.
You know, we had THE SAME EXACT thread posted a day or 2 ago..

"And the Evil that was once vanquished shall rise anew! Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent, and terror shall consume they that dwell upon the earth! The sky shall rain fire, and the seas will become as blood! The righteous shall fall before the wicked, and the lord of creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!"

I'm not sure how people are concluding that a shared stash means no mules... it means you don't have to log onto your mules.... but you have to create them to abuse their "stash space"

"If we're actually making the game worse with no other reason than to be different from WoW, then it's a bad choice." - Jay Wilson (D3 lead designer)
Actually someone else probably came up with it before it was posted on the internet. Secondly, I believe that I submitted the idea before you did (not sure though).
Nope, just checked, and i submited it first...
p.s. Post your ideas in the "ideas sticky"..

if it was an account wide stash why would it be limited by the number of characters on the account? then everyone would just make 10 chars or w.e to have full stash space. if they did decide to make a shared account stash i dont think it would be based on the number of characters in the account, i think it would more be a set limit of space for all of the characters that you decide to create. a person with two characters in their account would have the same amount of space as a person with 10 characters.

this is not an original idea, you may have been the first to post it on this site, but the eastern sun mod created several years ago has the shared stash in it, and its quite a nice feature i might add.

I'm going to do a write-up about overcoming the problems of the economics in D2 for D3. This is part of it(to remove the need for mules).
make sure Blizzard gets it, it could seriously aid the development of Diablo 3

Definite yay on that one. great idea!
"Join game, walk to corner, leave... My brother checks corner collects items... Guy comes back to find nothing there."
Especially when they had the mules expire over a certain amount of time too. that was even more frustrating.
