Like most people my suggestions are:
1.) I would mostly like to see new items added to compete with the current "godly" items. (don't delete anything just broaden the choices)
2.) Content/lore to tie into D3
3.) New area and/or harder dungeon with a new boss
I would be stoked with any one of those changes.

Aug 21, 2008moonshine posted a message on Diablofans - WWI Card Tyrael Pet ContestPvP Suggestions:Posted in: News
1. Give all players the ability to attack anyone in game, but it will cause you to go into a hostile mode for a certain duration of in game time. This would keep players from attacking someone and exiting the game just to come back and attack them again while unhostiled.
2. Give all players the ability to decide whether they can or cannot be attacked, PvP on- PvP off
3. Implement some sort of PvP specific reward system such as items that give bonuses to +Damage to Players. This way people playing PvE will not be required to get PvP gear to advance in the game.
4. Have a duel consent option in which players can wager items/gold in a mini-inventory type screen.
Trading Suggestions:
1. Keep the barter system. A player driven economy gives both high and low players the ability to possibly get something they need.
2. Implement lower level super unique items. Not all great items in the game should come at the end. Give some items an extremely low drop rate, but available early in the game. This would give new players or people that start playing long after relase the oportunity/rare chance to have something valuable in the player economy without having to reach the end boss first. Some item examples could be very rare gems/stones/reagents that are extremely sought after early and late in the game.
3. Item linking. Its a great idea many people enjoy. Included with the item link could be the option to request a trade to the person. A box will pop up that you put your items into that you wish to trade and hit submit. The person recieving the offer would get a little tooltip sign possibly in the topright corner alerting them they have an offer. They could pull up a menu which would have the player requesting the trade and a short summary of the items they offer(this could be in list form showing offers from multiple players). Clicking the player name in this menu would bring up the box they put the items into where you could look over stats and quality and either accept or reject the offer. -
Aug 13, 2008moonshine posted a message on Diablo MMO Hinted?i wouldnt mind seeing a diablo MMO. could be quite interesting and fun to play if done right. but i dont think thats what the next gen mmo will be. most likely something completely different. we still have probly 2 years until D3 comes out, maybe dec. 09 if we are rediculously lucky but i doubt it. and then possibly a year after that an expansion. so like 3 more years just to get to the end of "this diablo storyline." personally i would like to see blizzard do something completely different for their next mmo... give us something fresh and new to play. instead of the same old, kill stuff, grab loot, kill boss, grab loot, kill players, get honor, get loot... start new character, repeat.Posted in: News
edit: possibly a true horror mmo.. something that truely just creeps you out when you play it, gives you the chills and puts you on edge every minute your playing, never knowing what to expect. diablo was a little earie at first, but nothing that would have me turning on the lights in my house because it was so disturbing. haha, i think that would be a fun mmo.. something truely scary... makes you jump in your seat while playing -

... how bout they give us even a little information on the current project, D3.
none-the-less, im stoked the necro is comin back, just needs to be reworked to be more badass
edit: not saying they havent givin us any news apart from the video, but it is so vague and dissapointing -
Jul 12, 2008moonshine posted a message on Diablo III - More Detailsi like the idea of getting my own loot, it will suck when someone gets something i want and they dont trade, but it goes the other way too, im sure i will find something good that i wont want to trade. as far as the health globes.. it sounds interesting, it will deffinately require more skill on the players part this time around instead of just standing in one spot spamming health pots.Posted in: News
...kinda reminds me of like god of war or something where you will be fighting a bunch of monsters and then right in the middle you will have to run off to the side and smash a barrel or something to get a globe then go back to fighting. that would suck, i hope its not like that. but in the gameplay video a health potion does drop, so they arent completely gone yet.
another thing im thinking of... it says health globes heal the whole party, well what if some douche WD... which he said is a frail char. gets hit hard and needs life and keeps jacking globes while everyone else playing smart doesnt need them at that moment but maybe later in the fight, but the guy already used them all... thats really gonna piss me off. -
Jul 9, 2008moonshine posted a message on Official BlizzCast 5 Q&A SubmissionsIn the gameplay video a "Short Bow" dropped. What kind of ranged classes can we expect to see in Diablo 3?Posted in: News

Jul 9, 2008moonshine posted a message on Official BlizzCast 5 Q&A Submissions1. In the gameplay video we saw three item qualities; white, yellow, and purple. Can you please explain the differences between each and the possiblitiy of other qualities?Posted in: News
2. During the gameplay video an "Elixer of Vitality I" dropped. Can you explain Elixers and the benefits and roles they will play in Diablo 3?
3. Can we expect to see "Acts" returning as well as the three difficulty modes?
-Will there be a difference between difficulty modes other than the monsters becoming harder to kill? (Eg. different areas to explore, more dungeons, new monsters, new bosses etc...)
4. With the announcement of a more Co-Op oriented game, are players still going to be able to finish end game content solo or will they require help from a group?
5. Can you comment on what kind of talent/skill system players will be using and how skills and skill points will be aquired and used in Diablo 3?
-Will the attribute system of Diablo 2 remain or will a new system replace it?
6. Do you have any information that you are able to share on classes other than the Witch Doctor and the Barbarian? If not, when will this information be available to the public?
7. What can players expect to see with the PVP system being reworked? -
Jul 9, 2008moonshine posted a message on Activision and Blizzard Are Onethis should be interesting to watch play out, with that much more money and funding who knows what we will see. im just hoping they dont mix console and pc games too much, i like my pc games to stay pc and my consol games to stay right where they are.Posted in: News

Just my 2 cents... And I think a lot of people would agree it will be easier to have 2 characters to quickly swap between than to completely change one character every time you want to do something new.

Also being able to go online free of charge is outstanding. I have not had any problems with my PS3 so I can't comment on the customer service issues I have heard about.
As far as the online community goes, I have yet to play a game that had any issues with finding games and whatnot. There are assholes in every game so maybe that's what people are refering to when they say "bad community?" I'm not sure, luckily I can turn on the headset and set it aside if I really want to.
I think someone asked about price drops... as far as I can remember the price has stayed pretty much the same but they keep throwing more and more into the package. So your paying the same price but getting more stuff with it, still seems good IMO.
The controller issue is your personal preference. Personally, I hate the x-box controller. If someone could fill me in, does the x-box controller have the six-axis type ability? I have to admit, being able to thrust your controller forward and smash someone in the face by doing so is pretty sweet.
Also, I believe, but don't take me at my word for it, that I read somewhere Sony is working on several games that will push the PS3 to it's limits within the next couple years. I'm truely looking forward to see what the system can do.
All in all I think if you get a PS3 you won't be dissapointed. The games you mentioned are all great, I own most of them. I'm thinking of getting LBP, I've heard only good things about it. I'm on my system just about every night whether it be playing games, watching movies, or just surfing around the net watching funny you-tube videos. Don't know if this helps at all in your decision but I'm way stoked with my PS3.

It is extremely convienent to know how much damage you are doing. In d2 I could look at my character screen and it would tell me something along the lines of 1001-2001 damage. Now, what does that mean? Im not a number cruncher and I never will be. I could, if I wanted, sit down and figure out according to my str, dex, etc. the average amount of damage I should be doing.. but if there is a simple addition to a game to take away that waste of time Im all for it.
Im not a die hard Diablo fan by any means, its a game, I enjoy it. Having something show me how much damage I crit for would be awesome. Say I get a new weapon that does 100-200 dmg for example but has +str and +dex. Now I get another one that does the same amount of damage but has +ed% on it. Having something that tracks crit can show you within a matter of minutes which weapon is better. Its simple, its easy, it saves time.
Why are people against this feature? Please don't waste time by saying "beacuse its like WoW", thats been said, its not a valid argument. WoW was not the first to implement this system. Or the argument "it looks stupid, it looks cartoony, it doesn't look real." I may be wrong on this one but bear with me... uhm its a game? You are slowing time, shooting magic missles, summoning creatures, throwing flaming skulls and insect swarms... and for some reason people are able to look at this and say its realistic? It is an entertaining game, this would be a great feature, and it has already been concluded you will most likely be able to toggle it on/off. It takes nothing away from gameplay and adds an element that saves time and headache inducing calculations. Im all for it.

and cod:waw... I hated it at the beginning, but now that I have familiarized myself with the maps and how my favorite guns work Ive started to own and the fun factor has increased 10 fold.

Thats a lame goal, WoW isn't even that fun for that amount of time, at least if your staying sober. I could see if you were trippin the whole time it could probly be a lot of fun. There's plenty of stuff to do in the game but after a day or so straight it all ends up getting repetitive and exhausting.
I'm betting my money you don't do it straight with only bathroom breaks. I'll say you make it close to 35 hours and you'll be done.
good luck though.. haha you'll walk away a better man because of it... hahaha oh man

To be honest though, undoubtedly there will be a ranger type class. I believe it's the gameplay video that shows a bow drop.. so you can count on that class.
The other class... I don't know most likely somet type of "warrior of the light" aka paladin. I mean, Blizzards clever, but it's a medieval fighting game against Hell, which imo limits the characters they can use.

Also give bosses an array of attacks similar to what a hero would have. Instead of them having 5 attacks or so give them 15. Let them have different attacks to counter your resistances and such. For example a boss could have fire, ice, and lightning attacks and would through the course of the fight develop a strategy against you by using the attacks that were most effective.
It would be so much more fun to have "smart" bosses than the old fashioned "stand and attack" bosses.
