Quote fromOh my god that is amazing! The detail is exquisite, on all of them! I wish I could make costumes that good.
HEY there is one more Diablo related costume! Mistress of Pain!!!

(alternate reference)
Surely that is her.
I believe there is one that is also a barbarian male, if I'm not mistaken.

I already have tickets, but it was interesting to get booted out of the queue right off the bat. I got back in quick enough though, and I got all the screen captures for the process to blog about it.
Congrats to everybody who got tickets!

Hopefully we'll find out soon enough! Blizzcon is around the corner! (And I'm going!!!)

I hope your so-called standards aren't ones that are comparing these two against people like Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan. I like to see the less-than-perfect ones more than the want-to-be perfect ones.

Means of prevention that are harsh are all well and good, but I think the purpose is to create awareness. Many women believe that this sort of thing will never happen to them which makes them more susceptible.

I'm not sure if age variation would be the best kind of customization for all the characters.... personally I'd find it a little bit odd to see some old Barbarians whirlwinding mobs. At that point they'd be worried they'd break a hip.

He just came out with a direct sequel to Ender's Game (the period directly after it) which is called Ender in Exile. I hope to pick up a copy soon.

He has several editions and some of them have the author's preface. He added the preface in later years to better explain and to commemorate the 10 year anniversary or something like that.:P

If players were able to create and develop other areas of Sanctuary I think it would be really neat... I just would want it to be exclusive to that content. I wouldn't want people romping around in my Closed Net games with ridiculous gear that was tailored in the customized content.

Really? I thought the sci-fi ideas took a back seat as he developed the storyline around the relationships that are presented to Ender and how he adapts to them.
The Battle Room was cool and the Dr. Device weapon was a neat concept... but I thought that played fairly little significance to the overall story.

I think I made it rather clear that "diablo inspired" gameplay would be a much better descriptor. Cloning implies identical replication, in which case no "diablo clone" is or ever will be.
Sacred 1 mirrored many more aspects of Diablo 2 than Sacred 2 does. I view Sacred 2 as an evolution - and, by the looks of it, Diablo 3 will be incorperating at least some of the aspects that were unique to Sacred 2 such as skill modification. Albeit the means of modification is different, the principle is the same.
Anyways, inspiration can make a game go in many directions. Sacred 2, in my opinion, provides a very similar feel of ultimate Diablo-style gameplay yet allowing for much more than what Diablo 2 ever could have given.
[EDIT]Quotes of Equinox are not canon. One can easily equate similarities between the two and make the "diablo-clone" assumption. It is based on perspective and I see many cross-overs between the two games. I also like the two as complete separate games. In other words, they can be treated as mutually exclusive but one may also view it as a clone. I prefer to see it as a mixture of many elements and you can take of it what you please.

If it truly is Diablo himself then I suppose the better question to ask would be "how did he regain his body and why has it taken this form."

I think this falls under the category of "judging a book by its cover."
But in all seriousness, is that really all you did? You just looked at screenshots of some diablo clones? What clones may I ask? Perhaps "Diablo-inspired" would be a better descriptor, but I digress. Screenshots can hardly portray anything about gameplay besides user interface and perhaps one battle that was snapped for the shot. I just find it odd that everybody wants games to be their games. Perhaps the games you play must meet the standard of "every screenshot must be brilliant."
Anyways... Blizzard is able to do what it is doing because of its prolonged success in its previous games. Many other game producers either do not have the background experience or they do not have the time leniency or manpower that Blizzard does. Blizzard can afford to push back release dates and have ridiculously vast production times when many other second-rate companies must work to a deadline.
Long story short... I'd recommend actually playing the games you're rejecting before passing judgment.
[EDIT] You say that you have played "most" of the games you're referring to - perhaps you're just looking in the wrong places. Try Sacred 2.
