    Quote from "Flamingdts" »
Well IMO, that would just be too simple. Not a very "customizable" henchy if it can't do it by magic.

I like to see more versatile mercs. Ones that, if customized properly, will make some difference in battle. The old Mercs in D2s were hardly worth reviving in Hell. They cannot survive in later boss fights, and eat up a chunk of your gold to revive (not saying gold is useful).

Hopefully, Blizzard will add in a larger range of mecs to buff up their "strategic" HackNSlash.

i have to disagree, get an act 2 merc with ebotd war pike [life steal], eth bugged fort [damage and nice defense], and vamp gaze [dr and i think life steal] I find that that general setup is more than capable of holding its own in hell

I think most diablo 2 fans will be dissapointed.

We were used to the large inventory with lots of item space, now it looks like a dumbed down version.

And wtf is the red globe thingy which replaced the health potions?

    Bring back the potions.

People sya the gameplay has not changed, well they're wrong it has changed a lot.

who says gameplay has not changed?

posted a message on SD's LLD Zealer
What is what 1.0 - Introduction 1.1 - Advantages & Disadvantages 1.2 - Gear 1.3 - Stats 1.4 - Skills 1.5 - Strategies 1.6 - Last Word 1.0 Ok, so my last necromancer guide wasn't actually a guide more than something i regretted submitting to the internet. I didn't think that i should post this in PVP, it is, after all, a paladin build, nothing more, nothing less. I want criticism on my guide so i can test your opinions and improve it. I first ask that you do not spread this guide all over, im sure everyone knows how to make one of these by now, but not everyone may know what you know, so be nice. 1.1 As with any character, there are disadvantages and advantages to it, but in my opinion it's hard to go wrong with one of these, except against auradins and casters, but a LLD auradin? i dont think so. heh. Advantages - Quick speed, effective against other melee Decent damage Almost everyone can afford it Disadvantages - Ineffective against sorceresses who "Cast & Run" 1.2 gear is very important to LLD and is often the deciding factor of your character, after extensive testing of numerous items, i have determined what would be best for this build Helm - 3 socket helm w/ max damage jewels Alternatives - Peasant Crown, Biggins Bonnet Why: A helm with max damage jewels just cannot be bested in my opinion, if you don't know why, then you shouldn't be LLDing Weapon - "Honor" Knout Alternatives - 6os Crystal Sword/Naga w/ 4 max dam jewels and 2 shaels, Ceglaws Tooth, Any other "Honor" fast weapon, Steeldriver The Generals Tan Do Li Ga Why: A knout alone is a fast weapon with good damage, with Honor, you get a low cost high damage, high speed, low level, one handed weapon. Shield - ed/ar heraldic shield/Akaran Rondache with max dam jewels Alternatives - Steeclash, "Spirit" Why: Thanks to DrainBamage for suggestions, i tested this and found that Akaran with max dam's is indeed superior to Steelclash Armor - 4 socket 15+ max dam armor Alternatives - Spirit Shroud, Twitchthroe, Silks of the Victor Why: Max damage jewels are a MUST for this build, and you need as many of them as you can Belt - String of Ears Alternatives - Deaths (set piece), lenymo sash Why: I didn't think enough about B-buckle, Use Deaths against cold damage, although there is also the option of just using Spirit Shroud Rings - Angelic Alternatives - No... just no Why: Godly attack rating w/ amulet, need i say more? Amulet - Angelics Alternatives - guess again =P why: see rings Gloves - Upp'd Bloodfist Heavy Gloves Alternatives - Can't think of any Why:Bloodfists add life, HIT RECOVERY, and IAS, Surely a must Boots - Riprap Heavy Boots Alternatives - Goblin Toe Light Plated Boots Why: Added attack rating and stats, i also noticed it made me much faster 1.3 Strength - Enough for gear Dexterity - Max block Vitality - All the rest Energy - None whatsoever 1.4 Zeal - 10 Holy Shield - 4-6 Sacrifice - 9-10 Might - 1 Concentration - Rest Charge - 1 blessed aim - 1 Sacrifice adds zeal damage, and Concentration adds damage too, i recommend it, and against some casters, charge is an option, but it's damage and speed makes it fairly useless against other melee if you're using this build 1.5 I didn't think of adding strategies DOH, but it is rather straightforward... Other Zealdins - Go toe-to-toe with them, this is basically a contest of who can out-muscle who Chargers - I personally had a pretty gosu LLD charger, and i know my way around LLD, the best way to deal with them is walking and zealing, hopefully max block will take effect, after that let your insanely fast zeal obliterate them. ALWAYS WALK Sorceress - Charge usually handles them, if they teleport be sure to get a name-lock on them. If charge doesn't work there's really nothing else you can do, trying to zeal them is suicide. PnB necromancer - Assuming you have FRW, you might be able to zeal them, as far as i know you can't block their attacks, so don't be afraid to run, especially in zig-zags. If they use Bone Spirit, there's nothing left to do but try a Charge. Dueling casters is not where this build shines Hammerdins - If you are nimble enough you may be able to make use of their blind spot, located under them, hammers dont hit you here, so zealing them may work. However if they are the kind that like to charge and hammer, it can get much more complicated, unless you have super-human reflexes, de-sync them and beat them at their own game FoH - Run up to them and Zeal, OR charge. Try to have as much light resist/absorb as possible when dealing with them, they don't have to aim so de-syncinc is worthless. I have personally never dueled FoH, except with my charger, so this is the best i can offer. Smiters - Zeal them to hell, shouldn't be a big deal if you have FHR. You can easily out-speed them in attack Bowazons - they tend to use guided, so unfortunately de-syncing and charging is your only option with these gals Javazons - Personally i question the use of javazons in LLD, other than Rectal Jabbers, unless they throw (which i don't think is very powerful) just zeal them, if they DO throw run/zeal them or charge them. WW barb - these guys are TOUGH, and should only be dealt with by smiters. But since you don't have a strong smite [if any] Zeal is important, again, do NOT run. and try to dodge and get behind them. Oh, a good trick is to get them to click you with WW, then keep walking, keeping them a screen away, they will be stuck in WW for a very long time, if not forever i believe. Berserk barb - Zeal. Conc barb - Zeal. Trapsin - Not the most useful in LLD, de-sync and charge, because FRW wont get you through their BoS Kickers - Zeal but walk at all times, they can be scary. Shifter druids - just zeal them, they are hardly a threat 1.6 Well i admit the Stats and Skills section is short as hell, but hey i think its an O.K guide, mostly elaborate on the gear though. Added strategies for all the un-knowledgable/newer LLDers Suggestions?

Do you listen to songs when you duel in Hardcore? Or Softcore?

I listen to SR-71, they have wonderful tunes to go with hardcore, the best 3 IMO are Tomorrow, Goodbye, and Right Now. Tomorrow might be the best.

    I'm just curious =]

posted a message on D3 Jsp?
How will diablo 3 effect JSP? They will have to change the prices of some d2 items in order to keep up with the supply and demand of Diablo 3 items. It seems that it would be hard to balance the two games well.

Maybe we should make d3jsp if d2jsp doesn't take onto it.

    Hey, it could work!

If they have a hardcore mode, they better make it REAL hardcore, not a system of PVP that requires the permission of both parties.

Even with hardcore, without this It's largely wasted for me
