When ever the topic of "why do you play seasons" came up, the only solid answer anyone could really give was the fact it had season-only items... Mostly because within a couple days you have full set so the "fresh start" concept doesn't really last long and there's no trading meaning no economy reset.
So, with that in mind and the fact it was announced there will be no season-exclusive items next season... Will you still be playing season and why?
I like the change. It was strictly a punishment for non-season players, making it so they didn't have build defining items, and they effectively replaced the incentive for doing seasons by adding cosmetic stuff like portraits, pennants and pets. I think it's fine this way, there's plenty of incentive to run seasons, and everyone gets to play with fun and build defining items that get added.
Fresh start, Achivements, conquest, progression with crazy builds. Season journal. Extra stash slots.
As for the extra stash space they did it in an extremly lazy way. But hey 2.4 brings 2 more stash tabs and in about a year we will have a total of 10 so that is atleast better then nothing.
But i would rather have seen 1 personal storage per character added instead but that would make mules even more potent. And will be a nightmare for storage management.
Not really- will level a 70 for the tab- and may in the future but next patch I will be on my old toons- specifically Wizz with ancient firebirds sitting in mothballs... then see what happens.

I just don't know if I will keep playing D3 at all. But if I do, probably will keep as i do today. Start a new char aty season, pick up the cosmetics and delete char...
Prior to S4, I always played non-season and hated season (as well as ladders in D2). I didn't want to lose my well-earned items on my non-season char and start over.
However, since S4 gearing up is a joke. If you're committed, you can gear up any class in one day. Therefore, playing non-season is *just* about paragon; if you enjoy the item hunt, season is the way to go. Looks like I'm gonna play season.
Also, leaderboards are just about paragon and I don't have time for that, so I'm gonna skip that part (as I did in S4). But season journey, conquests, achievements were fun, and so might be the set dungeons in S5. And of course above all: stash space!!!
Well, stash space > exclusive items, so I suppose season will be the way to go, again. Don't know when I'll play 2.4 though, won't see much free time after christmas.
about that set, will it be ancient with good rolls ( i know it will not ) ? will it be random rolls? do i get to choose set for my class that i'm playing or also random ? it's not that hard to get sets for classes at all , so that is not that special reward in my opinion
I'd say better complete any required hc-step second to last ;D
But for the stash tabs, you have to complete the season journey right? I feel bad for NS players, because if you have to complete the 'whole' journey, you're looking at a lot of hours of season.
I avoided playing seasons until season 4, but some friends got me to play it and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I don't play enough to be competitive on any leaderboards or anything but the season journey gave me a goals to accomplish where non-season play felt like a grind toward nothing in particular

Yup, because of the Season Journeys
Yup. I really wasn't playing seasons for the exclusive items. It was for the fresh start.
I don't care about seasonal legendary, at all.
I play somewhat casually (I'm paragon 700 curently) with my friends in season. It's nice to start anew.

as far as i understand it, there will still be 1 class set tied to the season...
granted, that Statement is up to InterpretationNot really- will level a 70 for the tab- and may in the future but next patch I will be on my old toons- specifically Wizz with ancient firebirds sitting in mothballs... then see what happens.

Extra stash, fresh start, journey and cosmetic rewards.
Plenty of reasons for me to play seasons.

I play Diablo games for the item hunt.

So yeah, it's gonna be season, most likely.

Next season will be my last season if they screw up again.
As some other fellow players I too will be playing seasons in order to get the stash tab, then I will be back to NS until the next one.
I'll always be playing seasons!
