Just checked it out, seems pretty good. I would enforce the battletag though, as there's already a name in it without a battletag. Also: might want to change the easy like/dislike button. Force people to type out the name + battletag and then an option with Like/Dislike. People will just spam dislike (or like, but probably dislike), if you keep it like this.

Just some constructive criticism, hope it helps.

Ok since you don't get the point of my post because you are incompetent, let me reword it for you.

If blizzard were to change Act3/4 of inferno to 100% ilvl63 drops, you would still cry about it.
Why? I can already see your cry baby self saying
"Whaaa! Why do I not always get a drop from elites?!"
"Whaaa! Why doesn't my ilvl63 always roll godly?!"
"Whaaa! I can't sell my awesome ilvl63 items for billions like before cause it drops so often now!"

Layman's term? You can never please a cry baby - leave it the way it is.

So you're saying people would cry that they don't always get drops from elites, even though you just hypothetically upped the drop chance to 100%?

I agree with your point though, you can never please everyone at the same time. They could carefully alter a few changes in drops here and there, without altering the prices on the auction house.

I think that there are many vocal players who wouldn't be happy if Blizzard mailed them gold-plated Ferraris. To that extent, I think there are some minor tweaks to loot that could be made.

    1) Condense all follower special items into one, the class-specific follower relics are fucking TERRIBLE and I really hate it.

    2) As you said, make class-specific items unable to have the "wrong" primary stat (no int/dex on barb gear), but while still not forcing str on barb gear.

    3) Somehow address the "damage" issue on weapons. I wish I had SS'd it, but I just got a *really* good 63 wand, except it had like 350 damage. I don't think that having such a wide damage range on weapons is actually helpful at this point.

Beyond that, I'm not really sure much needs to be done to loot unless you want to delve into the world of "those who shall never be pleased."

Very well said, I personally play at least 50% of the time with friends, so followers aren't that important to me (although the Scoundrel gives me a good 4-5k dps boost + 6k himself), but I see your point. Also, ilvl 61+ follower items couldn't hurt either, in my opinion.

im not saying to increase the ilvl 63 items all i was saying is that it makes no sense to spend several minutes and maybe even dying a few times to get a lvl 52 item in inferno, 58.59.60 could take the place of all the low ilvl gear, and they could keep there 61-63 tables the same, im just saying
    >>>>>it makes as much sense for a lvl 63 mob to drop a lvl 52 item as it does for a lvl 52 mob to drop a lvl 63 item.<<<<<....

*** simplest soloution of all make it so that the item dropped is within 3 lvls of the mob*****
so if its a lvl 60 trash mob the lowest they could drop is a lvl 57
and if its a lvl 63 pack of champs the lowest is a lvl 60..

And your solution would flood the market with ilvl60 plus items. Everyone would get the best gear on a regular basis, there would be no progression of gear because you would easily go to the auction house and get nearly perfect rolls of items for almost free. The RMAH would be useless, and Blizzard would see no return on investment for the entire system they created.

And the limiting rolls to certain affixes on items is an even worse idea. You guys, really, crack me up.

So you're saying A) ilvl 60 items are very good and you are clearing act3/4 with these items? And B) You're saying that with the tables right now, you're finding the best gear on a regular basis?

I want your luck, really. People are saying Diablo 3 isn't a substitute for a job, but if I would find the best gear on a regular basis, like you claim to do, I'd be a millionaire by now.

Also: I wouldn't mind if Blizzard removed a few possiblities of affixes on some items, no INT on Mighty weapons, no STR on Spirit Stones etc., that said, they shouldn't force the STR on mighty weapons and DEX on Spirit Stones either. Just remove the 1-2 affixes out of the 20+ affix pool and it's already a whole lot better, more importantly: less frustrating.

What's a good version of the build to use if you are playing with a tank? You haven't updated the builds to use in the OP.

It's wise to actually read the OP before you ask questions like that.

Life on hit for sure. Like with your spec it makes such a huge difference and your defensive stats and damage is quite good imo.
I can't say much cause my barb only finished act 2 (aka can farm anything in that act) but I have way worse stats and I feel like the loh would really help you out considering you have good damage and resists for act 3 atleast.

Oh and didn't notice but your build is missing sprint? that is basicly the most important ability of the spec your using.

With that gear, I suggest getting 9% life on hit (3% on weapons + 3% on belt). Might even want to change Tough as Nails for Bloodthirst. With battle rage you're nearly on 100k dps, that means 2400 life per second without berserker through life steal.

Edit: Also, I would either get Revenge instead of Whirlwind, or get Sprint instead of Ignore Pain.

Well of course a forum ban.

Aye, might sound obvious to us. But sadly there are companies out there who will ban you ingame as well, if you don't behave on a forum, even though it has near to nothing to do with eachother.

Why would I ban them from the game when they will be its most active users? It's how it usually goes. Such sadness in this world...

You can see it from another point of view, the ones who are the most active are also the ones who are "hurt" the most by unannounced maintenances and hotfixes. I am by no means trying to defend those angry people on the forums, just pointing something out.

I would just ban every single one of the trolls. Do you even know how it looked like 1-2 weeks after release? People cursing the families of Blizzard, middle finger and goatee ascii and the words "fuck" and "shit" copied and pasted hundreds of thousands of time in a single post that goes on for at least 40 screens. You can bet your ass I would've IP banned all of those people.

If by IP ban you mean a forum IP ban, then I agree with you. I think it's a very good decision of Blizzard to keep forum/ingame suspensions/bans seperate. I also agree with everything else, even though I find it funny that a lot of people can be so bitter and angry at something, it gets boring after a while.

Blizzard is banning people from the D3 forums left and right now. I'm sure you will notice a change in the tone there, with some more positive topics and less negative comments.

    .

You ....uhhhhh, you get the correlation there, don't you?

Losers have trolled that place into the fucking ground. They talk about how much they hate the game and then proceed to play it for another 14 hour stretch.

I realize that some of you will be glad this is happening. My POV, however, is that I want to hear from everyone whether I agree with them or not.

It's not what they're saying, it's how they say it. We're talking about hundreds of asshole children that think they can say whatever they want, they feel all tough-guy for leaving a flaming shit post and then they get all bent out of shape when consequences are handed down.

Exactly. The same idiots who get suspended because of a teacher and then try to sue him for sexual harassment. We (the community) lose nothing when those kind of people are banned.

which ever side is right it's fun to see how many people got it wrong.

only thing we can all agree on is that it's really badly writen, and that ig only life steal equipement (not healing from skills, gems, loh or life on kill) are affected by the reduction.
wrong, ignorance is bliss rune from ignore pain gives 4% life steal, not 20% as per tooltip which is easy for me notice because my frenzy crits for around 100k and i get around 3.5-4.5k heals back

many others have confirmed that skills are also affected

OT: i do hope LoH gets nerfed, its way overused, i on the other hand play a 2handed barb in act 3 with 50k dps and plan on getting some life steal myself (LS can be quite expensive)

The problem with a 2-handed LS build, is that (excluding legendaries) you can only get 6% lifesteal (+3% from passive). I haven't really researched any legendaries for extra lifesteal though.

"The effectiveness of life steal skills, equipment, and gems – those that heal you on hit or kill"

Gems don´t have life steal, only LoH so it can´t possibly be referring to life steal. Also they mention life steal AND life on hit and also life after kill. To my knowledge life after kill isn´t nerfed in inferno either so that´s also clearly wrong. One could make the argument that the last part of the text is "for dummies" and that may very well be, but it´s so badly written that it still refers to LoH since life steal never has a fixed heal as it´s bound to damage.

The text IS refering to LoH, at least partly, it doens´t matter how you interpret it, end of story.

Although Diablo 2 doesn't have anything to do with Diablo 3, there were life steal gems back there. So Maxyim is right:

    Possibilities:

    1) Clueless web team - LoH is working properly
    2) Clueless devs - LoH is not working properly and they have not realized it yet
    3) Web team basing content update on FUTURE PATCH

I personally think option 1 is correct. I'm completely clueless about life after kill, never used it so I'll have to trust your word on that. If you look at the game guide without any further knowledge about the game, you would indeed think it was about LoH, but if you keep the circumstances in mind (CM's saying they won't nerf LoH anytime soon, a lot of builds getting destroyed if they did etc.), I'd say they're still talking about life steal, but worded it like a five year old child.

But hey, who am I? It wouldn't surprise me too much if they want to change LoH.

Edit: Option 2 is just ridiculous, I doubt they wouldn't realize LoH is healing too much.

What´s the difference what the topic is when the text is clearly referring to LoH? And yes, gems are mentioned which only have LoH. It´s very obvious that the text is referring to LoH and life steal both, I don´t even know why we´re arguing about that. Eitherway it doesn´t matter, if a blue has said that LoH is working as intended, there´s no reason to think it´s going to be nerfed.

I just read that link about ten times, and if you really are paying attention, I see no reason why you would think they are talking about LoH.

    Life Steal

The effectiveness of life steal skills, equipment, and gems – those that heal you on hit or kill, NOT health globe or life regeneration bonuses – is reduced in advanced difficulties, as shown:

    Normal: 100%
    Nightmare: 70%
    Hell: 40%
    Inferno: 20%
For example, if you have a weapon that provides you with 100 Life each time you hit a monster, it will be reduced to 70 Life in Nightmare difficulty.

They are clearly talking about life steal, they are just giving you an example at the end for dummies who don't know what that means. If you have 1% life steal and do 10.000 DPS, then you will have 100 unnerfed "life on hit", which is then nerfed to 70%/40%/20%.

Anyway, you are right about the fact that there's not much to argue about, as CM's have stated that LoH is working just fine. And it is working fine, if people want to tank champion packs for 5 minutes to kill them, good for them. If they nerf LoH, it would destroy most Monks/Barbarians and the market, as they suddenly have to change gear.
