Its absolutely retarded that anyting lower then lvl 60 drops in inferno, i mean HELLO you have to be lvl 60 to even be in inferno. finding lvl 52 items is the dumbest thing ever. Loot system is absolutley broken.
Why do people keep crying about this?
It was the same in D2.........for cripes sake...take what falls....bad luck is bad luck.
BTW: They have maxi-pads buy one get one free at Wal-Mart this week. I suggest you invest heavily in sanitary napkins. It sounds as if you need them
The difference is that lower items were still useful in D2 though....
I agree that sub iLvL 60's are almost exclusively shit in D3 for inferno usage. That does need some attention. I do have a LvL59 Kymbo's Gold Ammy that rolled real sweet for my Monk w/ 5.5%cc and over 200LoH +vit and life%.....so there are some that can be gleamed from the pile.
However that doesn't mean that every inferno drop need be iLvL60+. That would be a broken mechanic IMO.
i agree that the further in acts you go the better the gear, but im just saying that inferno dropping anything that is sub lvl 60 is dumb since you have to be 60 to get there.
and ya killing diablo on inferno was a disapointment got a 61 sheild and 53 bow
Yeah, it's not though. If sub-60 items weren't dropped then you would simply get fewer items. They won't just give you the same number of drops and guarantee that they will all be 60+ as that would generate a massive number of pretty damn good items, and the rarity of such items would drop dramatically. I would rather get more items to vendor for gold.
You're looking at it as though every sub-60 drop is screwing you out of a better item. That's where you are wrong.

Correct, it's the same reason white/grey shit drops. Apparently in their testing they found that people enjoy the game more when lots of items drop, even if many of those items are crap, as opposed to killing stuff and seeing zilch.
Sometimes I'm glad that I get lvl 52 or 56 drops. Yesterday I sold 2 low lvl items with average rolled affixes for about 50k each (probably for people leveling up new characters), that's nearly 100k profit from low level items.
I got the same thing on 2 ilvl 61 and 62 weapons (one of them had 550 LoH and 210 dex), except the AH were FULL of those, and I would have to sell them for 5k and 8k respectively, so I just salvaged both.

It's not broken, lvl 61 62 and 63 DONT make up the 100 percent of the drop table, in some cases not even 50 percent, so other ilvl drops in place, It's better than NOTHING dropping half the time. If it was only ilvl 61 62 and 63 ilvls dropping, the amount of great gear would be INSANE.
whenever I see anything lower than lvl 61 drops in act 3, i just want punch some kitten or throw my computer out of the window
So what you're saying is that you would be happy if they made it so in Act 3 you only got a single (that's 1, one, uno) drop approximately 65.1% of the time, out of which a 61 item would drop 27.1% of the time, a 62 item 21.7% of the time, and a 63 item 16.3% of the time?
Because you would still get items at exactly the same rate, only without all that "trash." Unfortunately, you would probably cry foul claiming drops are nerfed because you don't get an item every time, and most of them are trash rolls to boot.
For reference:
Quote from "Blizzard" »
iLvl 61: 27.1%, up from 24.1%
iLvl 62: 21.7%, up from 16.1%
iLvl 63: 16.3%, up from 8.0%
I agree its a pretty silly system for the end-game to be dropping gear lower than and worse than your current gear. But don't look for an update on that
im not saying to increase the ilvl 63 items all i was saying is that it makes no sense to spend several minutes and maybe even dying a few times to get a lvl 52 item in inferno, 58.59.60 could take the place of all the low ilvl gear, and they could keep there 61-63 tables the same, im just saying
>>>>>it makes as much sense for a lvl 63 mob to drop a lvl 52 item as it does for a lvl 52 mob to drop a lvl 63 item.<<<<<....
*** simplest soloution of all make it so that the item dropped is within 3 lvls of the mob*****
so if its a lvl 60 trash mob the lowest they could drop is a lvl 57
and if its a lvl 63 pack of champs the lowest is a lvl 60..

And your solution would flood the market with ilvl60 plus items. Everyone would get the best gear on a regular basis, there would be no progression of gear because you would easily go to the auction house and get nearly perfect rolls of items for almost free. The RMAH would be useless, and Blizzard would see no return on investment for the entire system they created.
And the limiting rolls to certain affixes on items is an even worse idea. You guys, really, crack me up.
How about Blizzard drives a truck to your house and personally hands you a USB key with your BiS items on it? And maybe a tshirt saying "I'm an awesome D3 player!!!" on it?

So your only qualm is that it "would ruin the AH"?

Umm, yes. This game was built to include an AH. If you don't like it, you are better off choosing another game.

Replace "AH" with "game." We don't need to go down the anti-AH road. A major influx of 63s would ruin the game, period. Even in WoW, which is much-maligned, you don't get the BEST gear for low effort, with some exceptions. The idea that effort leads to reward is vital to any game especially if the players want more than 20 hours of play.
They want you pressing the lever. They know that you secretly want to press the lever too. None of us would actually be happy if you pressed the lever and got a 63 every time. We say we would because of the frustration of it not happening, but basic psychology says that no one would play the slot machines if it were a guaranteed 1 penny payout every time. The thought that the next lever pull could be a major payout is far more mentally stimulating than the thought that we'll just get another penny.
well, you guys miss the point that even if all it drops are lvl 61-63 rare, you still have 99.5% chance of getting crap roll stats, so bad that even vendor refuses to pay more than 100g to buy it
and level 61 62 weapons are vendor spec by default even before u identify it
They had lower drop rates 2 weeks ago - everyone cried about it.
They JUST upped the rates AGAIN - everyone still crying about it.
If blizzard were to change ilvl63 rates to 100% and gaurantee that every weapon is 1000+ damage - EVERYONE WILL STILL CRY ABOUT IT.
Jesus Christ people, just stfu and enjoy the f---ing game already.
RAGE much.... im not bitching at all about the drop % of lvl 63 items lrn2 read before flipping out
Ok since you don't get the point of my post because you are incompetent, let me reword it for you.
If blizzard were to change Act3/4 of inferno to 100% ilvl63 drops, you would still cry about it.
Why? I can already see your cry baby self saying
"Whaaa! Why do I not always get a drop from elites?!"
"Whaaa! Why doesn't my ilvl63 always roll godly?!"
"Whaaa! I can't sell my awesome ilvl63 items for billions like before cause it drops so often now!"
Layman's term? You can never please a cry baby - leave it the way it is.
