Is AR a must for act 3/4 Inferno farming for a DH?
IMO, there are 3 major ways to play DH:
    1. Glass Cannon - no AR, no Vit, no SP/Gloom. Rely on huge DPS and SS/Fog. This is a "poor man's choice" IMO (not to offend anybody, it's just the least gear-dependent option of all 3).
    2. Tank - high AR, high Vit, high LoH, shield, maybe Nat's 4P bonus (however, I don't think it's required for a tank DH if you have enough CHC and Night Stalker).
    3. Balance - it varies a lot, but the general idea is to have enough EHP to live through at least 1 hard hit or 2-3 medium hits to be able to Gloom-tank sometimes. You achieve that by either stacking Vit or AR or by getting a healthy mix of Vit items and AR items (which is probably the best way as gear with Vit and AR and Dex at the same time costs A LOT). Also, armor is a cheap alternative to AR.

All 3 options are perfectly viable in Inferno. Which one to select depends on your playstyle and how much money you have.

Option 1 might be the least gear dependent, but it sure is the most expensive one. Option 2/3 gear is pretty much comparable with Monk gear, (except for the specific resistance gear) which is dirt cheap.

I'm waiting for an official answer from Blizzard before I go into hysterics over something that may or may not be duping. I can assume that if there actually was some duping going on, Blizzard is going to be all over it, find out how it's done, and deal with it, and we'll get some sort of announcement from them soon enough. If you're really that concerned about it, don't use the AH until Blizz confirms or denies that it was in fact duping.

Why would you stop going to the AH? They're not going to delete duped items you have bought from the AH. And if they actually are crazy enough to do that (which I doubt), they'll give you your gold/€ back.

Not the brightest cookie in the jar are you?

You do realize that there is literally no way to outright prevent hacking right? In any software, ever.

Online only means they can identify and actually do something about it when it happens.

Get those knuckles off the ground there bud.

Software 101 stuff here man, maybe you should sell that PC? Obviously you dont quite understand whats going on.

Why are you typing like this?

    It is very annoying.

You are right though, there's no way to prevent stuff like this. Testing can only prevent exploits up to a certain level, if people want to exploit, they will find it, eventually.

Did anyone check that link? That's pretty funny if that's how it'd happening. Just a good vendor deal and probably had a train of his friends buying the item?

Anyone care to see if they can reproduce this?

Huh... Thats disconcerting in a way if its true. I've found some good vendor items, but that bow would be nuts off a vendor. Especially for <80k,

On the last page a few people already posted that after 100+ runs, they only got ilvl 50-59 items. It could be incredibly lucky, but I doubt it's true.

    Hello,

    I'm crafting the following:

-Exalted Grand Sovereign Vambraces (+6 properties)

You'll have to bring the following:

-Gloves: 28 Exquisite Essence, 5 Iridescent Tears, 8 Secret Tomes and 115k gold

Please add me: Seditiar#2818, please state how many things you want crafted.

I will be streaming, of course in 720p so you viewers can read everything perfectly.
The stream is purely there so the viewers have proof that I'm not some lowlife scammer who keeps the good items while giving the customers crap ones.

    http://www.twitch.tv/seditiar

The overlay is purely there so people's full names are not visible for the viewers.

If there's enough demand, I will craft all day and make a schedule. For now I'll just post when I'm coming online or going offline.

Another fuck over the average player buy buying gear he could afford and then resell it 10x higher so he cant afford it. People like this are whats wrong with this game.

What are you even trying to say? Are you saying that average players get mistreated? Are you saying people buy gear which improves their buying skill? Are you saying that he can afford the gear then resells it so he can't afford it anymore? I'm really trying hard here, but you just do not make any sense. At all.

Very obvious and old for the people who play the AH in any game they play. But I guess it's handy for people who have never done this before.

I salvage all level 60 magics, I only check magic Helms/Weapons with ilevel 60. If they're not worth more than 100k I don't bother with them. If you're farming at a decent rate, even with bad luck you won't have the room to throw items on the AH worth less than 100k.

i started a monk today and bought 2 weps for him, thank god they were both below 9k gold but i'm sure if someone wasted there time with any larger amount of money, they would of thought of uninstalling the moment they figured it out. really at the end of the day blizzard is just giving people another reason to be pissed off...

I'm sure that person wasn't smart enough to install Diablo 3 in the first place.

    Quote from Serpenth

So we all know, this thing is expensive. It's general consensus that this thing is BiS blah blah.

I've read that people have got them for 500k sometimes, yet I'm wondering if it was even worth buying?

Pretty much what I'm wondering is if it's worth bidding on a Stormshield that only has around 20% block. If I can get it between 300k-700k. I've read some places that this item is overrated but I feel like it could be a good buy for where I'm at.

I took a break from beginning of June till about this week, so that's why I'm way behind lol. Anyways, I've been farming Act 1 and I'm in no rush to get into Act 2 because I don't want to struggle. I'm aiming for about 800ish resist all and 10k+ armor, 40k health. I've read this is what is needed to plow through Act II.

So my question given my situation, is a Stormshield with only 20% block worth 300k-700k for my character? I understand at later acts I would need to replace it with a higher block% shield. Thanks

No. Look for a Sacred Shield. Filter for All res/Block 9%/STR (or VIT, whatever your preference is). Sacred shield > Stormshield by far. Also a lot cheaper.

So you're saying A) ilvl 60 items are very good and you are clearing act3/4 with these items? And B) You're saying that with the tables right now, you're finding the best gear on a regular basis?

I want your luck, really. People are saying Diablo 3 isn't a substitute for a job, but if I would find the best gear on a regular basis, like you claim to do, I'd be a millionaire by now.

Also: I wouldn't mind if Blizzard removed a few possiblities of affixes on some items, no INT on Mighty weapons, no STR on Spirit Stones etc., that said, they shouldn't force the STR on mighty weapons and DEX on Spirit Stones either. Just remove the 1-2 affixes out of the 20+ affix pool and it's already a whole lot better, more importantly: less frustrating.

Wait, what? I think you totally did not comprehend my post. You guys just don't realize the damage that limiting ANYTHING in the item affix pools will seriously change the game play. Here, let me spell it out.

IF DROPS HAD ANY GUARANTEE, AT ALL, EVEN A MINOR ONE, ANY GUARANTEE AT ALL OF NOT BEING SHIT WHEN IT DROPPED THEN THE MARKET WILL BE FLOODED WITH VERY GOOD ITEMS.

When that happens, you can kiss gear progression good bye, there would be no point at all in playing a game based completely on item farming. If you stopped bad primary stats on class gear, that would be bad. If you limited the item levels that could drop by monster level, that would be bad. If you made it so your weapon that just dropped with really good stats always had good damage, that would be bad.

Getting bad items 99% of the time is the WHOLE FREAKING POINT of Diablo 3. Simply because when you DO get that awesome item 1% of the time, it feels epic and awesome and you feel good and you either get rich or become significantly more powerful because of it. I do not see how this is so hard to comprehend. Really guys, stop crying about bad items, they will not and should not go anywhere.

If you don't understand that concept by now, there really is no hope left for you, you really should find another game to play.

I do understand it, I most likely farmed more than you as well. Not to brag or anything, but just to prove that I am by no means giving up on this game, nor its weird affixes. I'm just saying that it couldn't hurt to alter the affixes a bit and/or increase the ilvl of some items.
To clarify this last sentence: follower tokens are maxed at ilvl 59, that should be at least 62. I myself am mostly a co-op player, but there are a lot of people out there who do love to play alone, it should be easier for them to get high dps followers (or more tanky ones).

    Quote from Bandyto

    @afallach

Why do you spend so much effort into writing such a good reply? These ignorant posters are here because they want to cry and will probably never understand the philosophy of Diablo. Diablo was and is a farming game. Nothing more. Play it or not. ;)
