So you're saying A) ilvl 60 items are very good and you are clearing act3/4 with these items? And You're saying that with the tables right now, you're finding the best gear on a regular basis?
I want your luck, really. People are saying Diablo 3 isn't a substitute for a job, but if I would find the best gear on a regular basis, like you claim to do, I'd be a millionaire by now.
Also: I wouldn't mind if Blizzard removed a few possiblities of affixes on some items, no INT on Mighty weapons, no STR on Spirit Stones etc., that said, they shouldn't force the STR on mighty weapons and DEX on Spirit Stones either. Just remove the 1-2 affixes out of the 20+ affix pool and it's already a whole lot better, more importantly: less frustrating.
Wait, what? I think you totally did not comprehend my post. You guys just don't realize the damage that limiting ANYTHING in the item affix pools will seriously change the game play. Here, let me spell it out.
IF DROPS HAD ANY GUARANTEE, AT ALL, EVEN A MINOR ONE, ANY GUARANTEE AT ALL OF NOT BEING SHIT WHEN IT DROPPED THEN THE MARKET WILL BE FLOODED WITH VERY GOOD ITEMS.
When that happens, you can kiss gear progression good bye, there would be no point at all in playing a game based completely on item farming. If you stopped bad primary stats on class gear, that would be bad. If you limited the item levels that could drop by monster level, that would be bad. If you made it so your weapon that just dropped with really good stats always had good damage, that would be bad.
Getting bad items 99% of the time is the WHOLE FREAKING POINT of Diablo 3. Simply because when you DO get that awesome item 1% of the time, it feels epic and awesome and you feel good and you either get rich or become significantly more powerful because of it. I do not see how this is so hard to comprehend. Really guys, stop crying about bad items, they will not and should not go anywhere.
If you don't understand that concept by now, there really is no hope left for you, you really should find another game to play.
I have to mildly disagree with this. Just look at the set/legendary issue.
At some point everything can't be a total free-for-all. I can sift through pages upon pages upon pages of set/legendary items which are totally worthless, but which should have some value simply due to their rarity. Zunimassa's off-hand as an example generally has vastly inferior damage compared to other equal-iLevel WD off-hands, and when you add onto that the fact that sometimes you get a dexterity one or a strength one seeing a GREEN becomes a burden.
There is nothing wrong with some semblance of control of statistics. As it stands, our droprates have been tailored to the fact that a massive segment of our gear alternatives are nigh-unusable.
Am I saying that all items should have some kind of control? No.
But take this as an example. Are you throwing an all-caps shitfit because you can't get +xp from mobs on iLevel 61, 62, and 63 gear? Because in all my Inferno time I have never, ever, seen that affix on any gear that required level 60. Isn't that control? But, isn't that also a good form of control because that affix could never, ever, be useful to a level 60 character?
I'm not advocating lots of control here. I'm simply saying that a complete free-for-all with affixes has some severely negative consequences too. Imagine if you could roll an iLevel 61+ legendary/set with +xp from monsters. That's not "compelling" or "interesting" ... that's basically kicking a guy in the face after you got his hopes up.
As always, it's not a black-and-white world. The "answer" almost always lies in a shade of grey.

That is the worst fix imaginable.

I do understand it, I most likely farmed more than you as well. Not to brag or anything, but just to prove that I am by no means giving up on this game, nor its weird affixes. I'm just saying that it couldn't hurt to alter the affixes a bit and/or increase the ilvl of some items.
To clarify this last sentence: follower tokens are maxed at ilvl 59, that should be at least 62. I myself am mostly a co-op player, but there are a lot of people out there who do love to play alone, it should be easier for them to get high dps followers (or more tanky ones).
You can also up vote the person who made a good post. No point in posting about it.

If you're really struggling, just get to act 3 in hell, I know you're only in act 2 now, but that should be easily doable with the aforementioned weapon. Once you're in act 3, around Azmodan, there's a lot of scorpid packs who easily give 0.5-1 xp-bar a pack, just farm until level 60 and then head on to act 4.

I would much rather have a PvP ladder like the Hardcore ladder in Diablo 2. People should be able to easily see the progress and rankings of everyone. I believe "fame" and accomplishments is more important than getting gear rewards through PvP.

Congratulations, you just forced a week-long lurker to create an account. In Diablo 2 Barbarians could take the path of weapon throwing, hell, even one of the Ancients was a weapon thrower (he's also in Diablo 3). I enjoyed it a lot and still do.
Oh and about the shield thing: it's garbage. Go dual wield, it's a lot better. Double socket + 200+ strength on each weapon is way better than a shield. With decent resistances, you can survive 1 hit anyway.
