I prefer chemical burn. The dot forces me to space out my impales and not front load them and waste hatred. If you let the dot work, it does much more damage than grievous wounds.
Well, I was playing with Impale: Chemical Burn pre-1.0.4 but since then I have increased my crit chance, therefore, I'm now playing with Grievous Wounds rune.
Chemical Burn has also a problem with front-loading burst with stacked Sharpshooter, which I still love to do. If I spot an elite, I can wait few more seconds--for example ID my rares for the time being--to get SS to 100%. I will send 2-3 Ball lightnings followed by 2xImpale that will all crit resulting in massive burst.
Impale with Grievous Wounds also let me deal better with damage reflect affix since I can kite a bit, let SS stack, unload 2x Impale under Smoke Screen, shoot 1 or 2 Hungering arrows, rinse and repeat.

I will give Grievous Wounds rune a run tomorrow since I have not tested it post patch even if they doubled the dot damage.

Yea, but the patch also increased chemical burn's damage. 485% weapon damage for 25 hatred is probably the most hatred efficient spender we have. I'm running around 50% crit chance and over 400% crit damage and i still prefer the efficiency of chemical burns to the burst potential of grevious wounds. You can't front-load damage with chemical burns like you can with grievous wounds, but when it comes to pure hatred efficiency, chemical burns is hard to beat.

Sorry about your broken ability getting fixed. I can't imagine how you could enjoy a game without using something OP. Also, if "farmers" had taken over the AH everything would be cheap not expensive.

God forbid you should try to play the game in less than BiS anyway... you might actually have something to actually work towards...

Sure dude, I forgot farmers have limited ressources and can't manipulate AH prices  . And you know what's OP? Melees standing in molten desecrate arcane and not having to move, I'm still hesitating to level one tho caus that look so boring to stand and push buttons.
As for not working toward something, I have 268 hours played on my DH my only lv 60, made it to half a3 solo without the use of AH, in one shooted mode with 20k dps. So yeah not only do you like to assume things, but you fail at it.

I was more imagining it to be nerfed at 500-600% dps over 3 sec, which would have been fine with me. I guess I will just do like you and roll one of those class who just stands still and press buttons to kill shit or have invicible minions to tank for them.

Oh and guys, link your DH. Or let me guess, you don't farm inferno with a DH and are so bored with your class the only thing left to you is meta game unofficial forum bashing. That would be pathetic.

You realize that any class can steamroll once you outgear the content right? My DH does cydea/azmodan run with 5 stacks in about 8-9 minutes. It's boring.

There can be no question that this was a bug. Witch doctors have a dot that does 360% weapon damage over 8 seconds. There's no way that 1500% weapon damage over 3 seconds was intentional.

Now, the fact that Blizzard failed to catch this bug was a bit disturbing. I mean, the moment the patch came out and people read the patch notes, everyone noticed this immediately. The fact that Blizzard missed a bug that was discovered in the patch notes itself tells me that Blizzard didn't even read their own damn notes, or that whoever is in charge of QA is incompetent.

posted a message on anyone using chakram build?
    Quote from arkay

I was wondering if anyone has tried using builds with chakram. I tried a few builds but found them less effective than other builds.

I can't seem to get used to the chakram path. There is no increased benefit for the difficulty of use. Also, no passive abilities are geared to help or synergy with chakram.

What has been your experiece with chakram. Have any good builds ?

The increased benefit is the low cost for high potential damage. Chakram costs just as much -- and therefore just as spamable --as elemental arrow, but because it is unpredictable, it has higher damage potential. Thus, you're supposed to fill the screen with chakrams in order to increase your chances of landing a hit.

Cheap dps upgrades will probably cost you survivability. You should be able to afford new bracers that will give you an extra 3% cc and 20~ or so dex with that money.

You still do not understand how SS works. But w/e, why argue the point when you won't read what you are being told. :)

I do agree completely with your last paragraph though. Spray of bone is not optimal for HA.

His explanation is dead-on and you're wrong. The determining factor isn't when you FIRE your attack, but when the attack connects. Every attack that connects in the 1 second after the first crit will be guaranteed crits assuming you have charged up to 100% with sharpshooter.

You're also wrong in regards to single target dps. For some reason you place emphasis on single target dps and the ability to burst down act bosses. Who cares if you can burst down azmodan or the butcher? Act bosses only comprises ~ 5% of the mobs that you will encounter, and it's not like they're challenging. The random champion and minions or elite pack will pose much more challenge than any of the act bosses save for maybe diablo (but no one farms him anyways).

Dex isn't exponentially increasing. Neither is crit%, crit damage, or ias. All of it increases your dps linearly. That is, given a certain gear set, 1 point of dex (all other variables remaining constant) will always increase your dps by a fixed "X" amount. This is also true for all of your other damage boosting stats. We can't do the calculations for you because we don't know the rest of your gear set.

    1) a dual wield set up will cost you much more gold to fund than a 2handed set up.
    2) find 2 1 handers with a socket + crit damage and as much dps as you can afford.
    3) Stick an emerald of the highest quality you can afford in each.
    4) again, this will not be cheap.

Something is definitely weird with the innas. If i swap out like you said i gain 10 dps. it was so marginal that I didn't even notice it. However, I know that that's not 6% of my dps.

As to the price between Inna's and a comparable set from rares, i agree that you have to spend quite a bit more for the extra upgrades. But at that point in the game when you get close to or over 100k dps without sharpshooter, small upgrades start to skyrocket in price. That's just the way the economy works.

I think it'd be pretty hard to beat the inna's 2 piece if you have a belt with dex and pants with 2 sockets. Athene still wears them. Not to say Athene is a god or any sort of definitive authority on DH's, but the guy is the quintessential min/max gamer with unlimited resources, and if he can't find better with the billions and billions of gold he has access to, I probably won't either.

    That doesn't work for me.

And I'm not sure I understand the math you're doing on the pants. Are you saying that your pants have 230 dex after sockets or before? Every pants i see on the auction house with that much dex is post sockets.

posted a message on Leirissa (and other DH's like him): Questions about your playstyle?
    - Scenario in which you are fighting 1 and only 1 mob, where single target dps would be optimal, is vastly outnumbered by the scenario in which you will fight 2 mobs, 3 mobs, 4 mobs, or more.
    - spray is bar none the best generator for multi mob scenarios.
    - spray is also not a slouch when it comes to single target Scenarios.
    - the only thing that the other hungering runes have over spray is in single target scenarios, but since such scenarios are so scarce, they should not be emphasized.
    - Since spray does aoe damage better than any other generator (and since multi mob scenarios are far more common than single mob scenarios), yet still does respectably well in single mob scenarios, it is op in respect to other hatred generators.

This isn't difficult, and I've even boiled it down to talking points like you prefer. You can either ignore the thread, admit you're wrong, or disprove something I've said. Nonsensical "key words" without support or reasoning is of little use. If you really are sick of arguing, I'd suggest you take option 1.

Yes. But the belt's damage bonus is quite finicky. It only works with weapons that are non-elemental.

Some people walk or bike dozens of miles to work. I'd rather drive. Fault me for it if you like.

More like: you drive to work but still get there later than the people who bike to work, so naturally you rage at bicycle shops.
